Great experience!!!!

by Sarah W on 09/03/2020

I had the absolute best experience buying my car and working with the sales rep Justin Billiou. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with sharing all of my options, personally demonstrated the bells in and whistles on the CRV I chose, was friendly, funny, open and approachable, and just made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. If a great sales person is a big factor for you in buying a car, because it can be very tough when you're trying to make the right decision and you need details about your options, I'd totally recommend working with Justin Billiou. He was the absolute best!

Worst Service

by Amar1 on 03/22/2019

If you are planning on buying a car from Scott Clark Honda then I would suggest to think again. My experience with Scott Clark Honda been awful. Their service is horrible and it doesn’t take them long to start making sarcastic comments. I don’t want to put any names here but if their management wants, then I can share the names of the employees. In a nut shell, go else where Its not worth wasting your time with some unprofessional people at Scott Clark.

They wrecked my car and apparently not uncommon for them!

by Hinkleelena on 11/30/2017

They wrecked my 2017 Truck! After having to take my 2017 Ridgeline back to be repaired since it wasn’t done correctly on nov 1st an employee calls me less then an hour later to tell me he crashed my truck into a pole. He’s sorry and they will pay to have it repaired and cut me a check for the total cost. After going to their repair shop where they get a huge huge discount. After speaking with collision body shop it was clear they were not looking out for my best interest however for scot Clark’s. When I asked for a second opinion all hell broke loose and was told by Stuart “what’s the big deal I’d just say you wrecked it you fix it. If you get a second opinion that’s fine but we aren’t paying for it. Why would we if we get a better deal somewhere else. You can go anywhere you want but we will pay the quote we got. Why would you pay you money on top of that if you go somewhere else” David white said the same thing pretty much. After saying it would be nice for them to keep their word I get a check for 2800. After getting car back after 2 weeks the total bill was 3688. They agree to pay the balance...this was offered to me I never asked for a dime. How they feel like they can make them out to be the victim is beyond me Still owed the balance. They tell me a week after check was approved and supposedly cut that I need to sign a piece of paper. This paper wants our tax info so we now owe 34-40% tax on it! I said why do we need to pay taxes. David white says you don’t. Then why do you need a w-9? “Just so there’s a record of the money”. I said isn’t that what a canceled check was for. He had no clue how checks worked? After speaking with someone he tells me “yes you have to pay taxes on this money” I said I knew that. That’s why I don’t understand why this wasn’t discussed a month ago before I agreed to let the work be done at Caliber Collision repair. My second est was much higher and I explained a month ago I didn’t care about them cutting me a check I wanted to trust the work was being done the right way and looking out for me not scott Clark’s pocket. My est were not the same. Caliber had chrome molding and other things my 2nd est has but caliber did not. I have no chrome molding FYI. Sounds like a terrible deal! David White tells me to sign it or sue them! If I sign I’m not allowed to talk about them wrecking my truck that’s less then year old. Didn’t find out they replaced 2 body parts until I picked it up. I was told about 1. Repair place didn’t even Bolt in my middle seat buckle. I found out as I had to pick up someone else’s child! Luckily it wasn’t my friend going through a divorce and the soon to be ex wife wasn’t there to see it! Even today to get some noise fixed. 7 work orders I less then a year. I don’t think there was a time it didn’t have to go back and fix the problem. Same noise on the way home...should have gone to Hendricks...

What a disappointment!

by Perry on 05/15/2017

What a disappointing experience buying a car from Scott Clark Honda. I will say that Sam, who phoned me about a car she thought I would be interested in, was excellent! And I like the car. A pretty sky blue Infiniti G37 hardtop coupe. I just wish I had bought it from another dealership. I visited Scott Clark Honda three separate times looking at different cars. My first visit the salesperson was very unpleasant. My second visit the salesperson was very nice, but never bothered to call me back about a critical question that he couldn't answer since it wasn't a Honda (certainly understandable that he didn't know right off). Cost him a sale though by never following up. My final visit I bought a car. Victor was very nice. Any concern I voiced he had a stock answer, "We can take care of that." Scratches? "We can buff those out." No owners manual? "I will make sure you get one." Funny how he disappeared once I signed. I tried following up with two different emails and two different phone calls to Victor and then the sales manager I dealt with, Glenn to try and get an owners manual. Apparently the manuals aren't cheap ($200-$300). No response to any of my attempts. I suppose I didn't matter anymore. Of course, I will never recommend them to anyone, so maybe I do matter more than they think. Silly me for taking Victor on his word when he said he would make sure I get an owners manual. I would of course be willing to provide a follow up to this recommendation if they would make good on their promise. So disappointing.

Licesce plate not sent after expiration of temp license plate

by akhileshmalu on 01/08/2017

I bought a honda car from dealer where I spent almost an hour understanding different service cover plans but finance manager did not bother to inform me that i need to also pay personal property tax payment in tax office of my state. Being non resident citizen here I preferred to go through dealership for license registration which they delightedly charged me. They took my signatures on a lot of paper (which i consider legit for sale) including one which confirms that I have been told about personal property tax payment. Nonetheless without any clue of any such formality I was waiting for my original license plate. As temp license plate was expiring, I tried to contact dealership. but It was really difficult to catch hold of anyone. (may be they do not serve for post sale customers). After days of try , I got this information that I should have sent them receipt of personal property tax for the vehicle. They even informed me if I will send them receipt , next day they will send me original license plate. Looking at expiry of temp plate I went the immediate next day and sent them receipt. Yet again I tried for next 3-4 days to contact them but No one was available. My temporary license plate also got expired and I have no other option but to rent other cars for my personal use my car has no valid registration. After several trials , i could connect to another executive who said they are going to send plates on Friday (7 days after expiry of temp regis). I still waited for Friday and nothing came. I called them again and They said tomorrow you would receive this plate for sure. And will you believe I am still writing this review without my original plates. This is probably one of the most unexpected experience of mine in USA where dealers like these do not take such things seriously. I must have spent more than $150 for renting other cars because of my dealership has not sent me valid registration. In case anyone wish to contact me , please email me [contact information removed].

Forced Warranty Scam

by kd11272009 on 11/17/2016

My husband and I traveled from Columbia, SC to purchase a 2007 Honda Odyssey from Scott Clark Honda. We were first time car-buyers and it must have shown. While meeting with Carlos in their finance department we were told that in order to obtain the financing offered by Wells Fargo (at 4.9% APR) we would be required to purchase an extended warranty through AUL for $2500. The justification given was that banks want to be safe from problems that older cars often pose. As I have discovered, this is a scam and it is illegal – no bank can require you to purchase a “service contract”/extended warranty to gain financing. Austin was our sales associate that day and rattled off features the van didn’t have and made promises he didn’t keep. When he told us everything was in working condition, we took him at his word. The reality was the van had a tail light out and a broken AC, which the warranty didn’t cover. Incidentally, it was our attempt to refinance the van in order to get out of a worthless warranty that led us to the realization that we were scammed. These are mistakes we won’t make again regardless of where we buy a car. However, I can assure you, we won’t ever return to this dealership. We learned a lot from our experience at Scott Clark Honda dealership and for all the wrong reasons!

Buyers Beware!

by Lemonowner16 on 08/26/2016

Purchased a used Hybrid vehicle with a extended warranty. I was skeptical to the purchase due to hybrid engine but was assured warranty would cover hybrid battery if it was to go bad. Not even two weeks after I purchased the vehicle it started acting up. I brought it to service for them to tell me all was normal to the hybrid. Not knowing any different I trusted once again. Within four weeks my vehicle would not stay running after leaving work one evening. I had vehicle towed to different dealership because of distrust with Scott Clark Hondas service dept. Diagnosis was that hybrid battery was bad with numerous other issues. Warranty that was assured would cover hybrid battery will not and I was told it would be $5500 for me to replace it. When it was first brought to General Manager James "JB" Beckleys attention he said he was going to help make the situation right. He now has not responded to numerous attempts of myself and other service dept. to speak with him so he can "make it right"! I am now without a vehicle and continue to be ignored. Buyers Beware!

Great car buying experience

by pradeep4 on 08/07/2016

We bought a 2016 brand new Honda Odyssey SE at Scott Clark Honda and we were very pleased with the overall experience. Thanks to the sales manager William Villamil who helped us with this entire process. He patiently answered all our questions regarding the car and its features, warranty info and financing options. The price of the vehicle was just right and these people are very reasonable when it comes to the negotiation process. They offered very decent amount for my trade-in as well. I would highly recommend Scott Clark if you are in the market for a Honda vehicle.

Excellent, Fast, Courteous Services

by Niki_Woo on 07/15/2016

Reggie Terry assisted us in buying a 2016 Honda CRV-EXL. He let us test-drive the vehicle and answered our questions. He was very laidback, patient and friendly. He went extra mile to make a sale; he drove us around in the lot showing us different colors, different trims. He didn't give us a feeling that he was being pushy like a typical car salesman. To our surprise, the process at the finance department was also painless and quick. Peter the finance guy took care of us and we were in and out in like 15 minutes. They didn't spend much time pushing extended warranty. I was happy about that. Overall, we had a good experience at this dealership because of associates like Reggie and Peter. It ain't like pulling teeth at all.

Fast service and best prices!

by Honda987 on 07/13/2016

George Billett was our sales rep and he is very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to get us the lowest price for our new Honda Odyssey and included dealer additions to sweeten our deal! We did look at other dealerships but chose Scott Clark given our experience with George and their stellar service and warranty programs.

by graykat13 on 05/25/2016

Like so many before me have said...by far the best car buying experience ever. I contacted web sales first to get a quote. I was put in touch with William Villamil. So happy to have met him. William was timely and detailed in his responses. Within a few minutes of emailing and texting, we had a deal. William turned around my notions of car buying. This is how it should be.

Good Services

by matthews_buyer on 05/03/2016

I bought my Honda Civic last Saturday at Scott Clark Honda, that was my best experience on car-buying. I contacted the Web Sales first in order to have online quotes, they replied me quickly with very reasonable price quoted. I called them to set up appointment for test drive, the sales person welcome us by the front door. We finally had 3 rounds of test drive due to some reasons, the sales person was very patient, he also came back and checked on us when we were touring around other departments, such as accessories, finance, delivery....etc. Overall speaking, the sales person made us feel very comfortable during the 3 hours buying processes.

Finally...a pleasant car buying experience!

After the typical high pressure sales tactics we suffered through at another dealership, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised by just how relaxed and enjoyable the whole staff at Scott Clark Honda made our complete car buying experience! Hats off to our sales representative, Mr. John Wilkins!

Worst Experience ever

by ANGRYMOM104 on 01/01/2016

We traded in our vehicle for an Odyssey and after paperwork signed we were told it was going to take longer to get vehicle ready(already been there 3 hrs). We were given a rental and told our vehicle would be delivered later around 5pm. Around 5pm no call no vehicle, spoke with salesman (AJ) who stated vehicle had"minor"scratches on bumper that may or may not get fixed that day. Keep in mind we didnt even get to see vehicle before we left. So basically we purchased vehicle, paid $1500 down and didnt even have our vehicle. The next day we expected a call for some tyoe of update. By 1100 no call. My husband spoke to Om and he had another manager name Tim call us. Tim promised us another vehicle (same options but scratch free) within 2 hrs. We also informed AJ, Charles, Om and Tim we left our umbrella in our old vehicle to please bring it since we were not given the option to get stuff out of it. They already had it moved when we left. Well after waiting ALL DAY we finally hadit delivered at 530pm!!!! But without the umbrella! !!!! Today I thought possibly someone would call to at least follow up but no call thus far and its 230pm. I WOULD NEVERBUY FROM SCOTT CLARK AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!!! Such a terrible experience. I was tempted to cancel the purchase.

Excellent Service

by Khyatt120 on 12/01/2015

I just bought a 2016 Honda Civic from Scott Clark Toyota. Our salesperson, Muhammad Idrees, was wonderful to deal with. He made sure to explain all of the options I had as well as the details of my new car. I was personally introduced to the service team so I would know them by name when I have service done. Muhammed made sure we had a staff member go over all of the features of the new car and phone numbers to call if we had any questions.

New Honda Odyessey Purchase

by Parauno on 09/30/2015

Can't say enough glowing remarks about my recent purchasing experience of a new 2015 Honda Odyssey Elite from Scott Clark Honda on Independence Blvd, Charlotte, NC. From the beginning with J.B Beckley (General Manager) and the thoroughness and caring attitude of Shane Watson (Internet Sales Manager), it was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. There was never any "high pressure" sales tactics used (I've been in sales for over 45 years myself, so I know all the tactics that can and have been used on me), and Shane actually listened to all my concerns and followed up on every single question I had. He always presented me with all the facts and there were no surprises along the way. Each individual I met and dealt with during the whole process was professional and respectful of my time. If you are purchasing a new Honda, don't waste your time like I did...go straight to Scott Clark Honda and ask for Shane Watson.

Awesome and Pleasant Experience

by luiscruz63 on 09/22/2015

I just bought a 2015 Honda CR-V EX for my wife and the experience was awesome from the beginning, My salesman, Mr. william Villamil, was unique from the first contact. Very professional and with unbelievable patience answering all our questions and concerns taking on consideration that the whole process was done over the phone, we never set one step at the facility! William Villamil sent us pictures, brochures and any information on reference to the vehicle, the price and the different options. Also assisted us comparing the vehicle with others in the market. Provided me all the information and link necessary for me to complete the whole process over the phone while I was at the beach (Yes, labor day weekend, on a Sunday). The whole process was completed on Monday and the vehicle was delivered to me the very next day (126 miles away) without any issue. The delivery representatives carried all the paperwork for me to signed (accurate and as described and agreed) and in a matter of, no more than 30 minutes, I had the keys in my hands, the car in my driveway and the happiest wife in the neighborhood! I'm the living proof that the purchase of a good car can be done over the phone when you have an excellent salesman like Mr. Villamil...THANKS!

horrible service

by elballard on 09/08/2015

Me and My wife were interested in a 2007 Acura MDX that Scott Clark Honda of Charlotte NC had. So we went in to take a look at the vehicle. Well when we got there it did not start up but this was understanding because it had a sticker saying that it was not ready to be sold. So left and came back another time to see if it was up and running. It was so they did some numbers and unfortunately it was not the price we were looking for. So once again we left with out a car. So two days later we look on line and the car price had dropped to where we were trying to get to. The sales man called me and emailed my wife saying that the price had dropped and to come back in to take 3rd look at the car. So today 09/7/2015 I go in before I go into work and go through the test drive again. So then after I come back and ran the "numbers" he says to me that the price was wrong. Now by that point I had already told my wife to go ahead and get the kids ready and meet me at the dealership. So I leave again and at this point furious that I have wasted a lot of my time because their employee told me to come back out to look at a car that had been priced "wrong" for weeks and the internet manager says "well the employees make mistakes". I leave again and get a call back and he then tells me well they made another mistake and that the price I had saw was actually correct and gave me some reason why it happened. Then proceeded to offer me a price on a car that was ridiculous. This car started at $17859 on June 27 then on Aug 14 dropped to $13549 and then priced raised to $13859 but it was a mistake right. Now they offered after all this happened to sell me the car for $12000 and thats with my trade in. crazy part is that my trade in is worth $4500 both this of which another dealer has offered for it and NADA says $4300 so they offered me half of what it was actually worth. That was a slap in the face NOT a we're sorry for all the confusion. This place does not know how to treat customers. I countered their offer and I got no call back. I wouldnt buy a car from them if it was $1.00
