Great experience

I wish there were more stars to give! Patricia Stoutenburg was exceptional. I was looking for a very specific car and not only did she get it for me she got me an incredible deal on it too! I honestly can't say enough. Patricia's knowledge, professionalism and patience made the entire shopping and buying experience a breeze. My car has a remote start and every time I use it I smile and send a big thank you to Patricia.

Good, easy sales experience

I would definitely recommend this dealership. Wayne was very helpful, friendly and worked to get the vehicle I wanted from another dealer, as they didn't have the color I wanted in stock. It was nice to have a friendly experience with no games and high pressure sales tactics, as we've had at other dealers.

The run around game

Just went in to this dealership with financing already secured and was given the run around for almost 2 hours. Ran my credit regardless of having financing in place and their so called "heroes pricing" was non existent. I am a veteran of 3 times over of Iraq and Afghanistan who heard good things about them. The salesman whom I dealt with and the sales manager just kept the run around game going. Quite unhappy and will definitely add this review wherever I can

Great Dealership

My wife and I had stopped in at Mid-Hudson Subaru once a year for the two years previous to purchasing and let them know up front that we were not looking to purchase for a year or two at best, though did want the Forester explained to us and that we had a few questions. Each time everyone at the dealership was prompt, kind, courteous, grateful that we came in, and very happy to speak with us, answer our questions, explain the features, provide literature, and open the car up so we could sit in it and get a feel for the fact that it would be more than sufficient for our needs. This was amazing service for customers who were open about not purchasing for a year or two. When it came time to purchase we went back to Mid-Hudson Subaru and everyone there was just as prompt, courteous, honest, and helpful as they had been in the past. The purchasing experience was easy and enjoyable. We worked with Justin (sales) and Steve (financing) and they were both friendly, knowledgeable, personable, and a pleasure to deal with. They took the time to listen, were easy to talk to about price and financing, and made the entire process easier than I have experienced at other manufacturer's dealerships. Justin took the time to really explain the car and its features prior to the test drive, solicited questions upon our return from the test drive, and knew all of the answers. Steve was very well versed in finance and was helpful beyond my expectations. Eveyone else we encountered at the dealership was great as well. Both Justin and separately the owner telephoned a few days after the purchase to make sure things were going well and that I was satisfied. That was nice. I would highly recommend this dealership. If you are looking to purchase or just investigate the Subaru brand/models stop in. Subaru makes great products and these people will be able to really explain them, answer all of your questions, and if you want to purchase, they make it easy and enjoyable.

I contacted this dealership via email and in person. I was looking for a 5 dr Impreza. When I went in on a Sunday they only had 4drs to test drive. There was no one available to talk about price or when a 5dr would be available. Online I got repeated notes about wanted to talk to me. Later I forwarded a price quote from another dealer and asked how close they could come to matching it I never got a response only silence

Easy Peasy

I am an avid car buyer - I purchase a new vehicle every 2 years or so. I had a Subaru 15 years ago and loved it. When the time came again for a new vehicle I decided to try Mid-Hudson Subaru. I had heard they were very open in their pricing and thought I would see for myself. Well I was blown away - not in all my years of purchasing had I been treated with such respect, patience and good humor. I even met the owner! He is right there on the sales floor. I bought a used 08 Legacy and I LOVE it. I almost can't wait another 2 years to get another one!

Mid-Hudson Subaru customers for life!

I've had subaru's all my life. Between my boyfriend and myself this is our 6th subaru. We have always purchased pre-owned but this time we decided to go with brand new. I have never felt so comfortable at a dealership. Everyone was so nice and helpful and not pushy. They were patient as we kept going back and forth between which vehicle would best fit our needs and even more patient when we went back and forth between colors. Then came the trade (which was not a Subaru) we felt very comfortable with what they gave us and never once felt ripped off or scammed. Not only are we loyal Subie owners but are now Mid-Hudson Subaru customers for all future cars and service appointments.

first negative review of subie dealer

We are new to the area, but not new to Subaru's. Owned 6 outbacks, currently have 3. Never felt any subaru dealer took advantage of us with trade-ins or service records over the years. I was looking to sell my 2007 ll bean outback clean title no accidents, no loan, less than 54000 miles. I understand a dealer price will be far less than selling it myself. Was offered 12000 for this car from this dealership over the phone. Salesperson said she would sell it for 14000. That was retail she said. What a lie. If Mid Hudson offered me this insulting price, what would they offer someone who may not do a lot of research or may be elderly and just want a quick trade in? I decided not to go to any other dealers around here until I got word of mouth recommendations. That came this week while getting an oil change in my much older outback, a local mechanic I was telling this too and a few waiting customers were not surprised, they had stories to tell too. Another dealer came highly recommended by all of them. I originally went by Mid Hudsons online 5 star reviews to pick a shop. Goes to show you that word of mouth is much more factual. Take my experience with a grain of salt but ask around. I'm glad I did.

Best car buying experience ever

I knew what I wanted by the time I contacted Patrick Downes online and was just checking for lowest price. He was so helpful and transparent I forgot about other dealers and just bought the 2012 Forrester from Patrick. It was the most stress free car buying experience I have had. He even thought to look at my web site and compliment my art. The dealership was farther away but it was worth it.

Best experience buying my first new car from Patrick.

Ordered my car with Patrick at Mid-Hudson Subaru. It was going to take about 3-4 months for it to come in, untill the earthquake happened in japan, and delayed that time even further. Patrick went above and beyond to source the exact car I wanted and got it to his dealership in record time. Also, his communication with me was phenominal through the whole process. Every e-mail was responded to in record time; not to mention, he also gave me his personal cell phone number and responded to texts and calls also. I've talked to several other people at the dealership, but none can compare to Patrick. I highly reccomend him. As far as the car, its the best ever. I bought my first subaru 5 years ago. I will never own anything but now. Even if you're not sure about buying a subaru, be sure to stop in or call Patrick; you wont be dissapointed.

Excellent buying experience

Purchased 2011 Legacy. Rick Davis was our Salesman. Price was good (not great) but I feel it was worth paying a few dollars more in exchange for the courteous and personal service that I received from Rick. Car had to be ordered and arrived within the time span Rick gave me at time of order. At time of pickup the car was perfect. Not a spot or smudge in or out. Paperwork with Finance Manager was completed in about 15 minutes with no surprises. Rick took almost a full hour of his time (on a Saturday) explaining all the functions and accessories of the car to my wife and I . He even set up bluetooth and Sirius radio for us. This is probably the ninth or tenth car that I have purchased and this dealer was one of the most pleasant car buying experiences I have had.

The Car of My Dreams

I do not usually write reviews on products I purchase, but my 2010 Legacy is too exceptional to not speak up! I LOVE my Legacy, it is comfortable, classy, and cost efficient. I also had a great experience at Mid-Hudson Subaru. I dealt with Jose who was patient, informed and friendly. He made sure I was getting the car I needed in the color I wanted. If you live in Dutchess County and you are looking for a Subaru - I highly recommend going to Mid-Hudson Subaru. You'll a great car and a great experience.

Blacklisting this Dealership

Me & my husband went to this dealership 2 weeks ago to buy a car through the cash for clunkers program. We submitted all the required documents, even put up a deposit and the car we wanted was available 3 days after. After stringing us along for 2 weeks they told us that our car does not qualify which is a lie since it did (per CARS website) and when we asked them for a copy of the denial letter, they cannot produce it. The 3 or 4 sales people we talked to at this dealership told us different stories. The day after the government clarified a regulation that dealerships cannot hold the cars if its available, this dealership (which i wouldn't even care to mention) opted out of the program. What [violative content deleted]. Your dealership should be blacklisted and penalized for illegal deals under the cash for clunkers program.

Got a straight deal, no tricks.

Went in last weekend with my wife (who was buying either a Tribeca or RDX); I'd checked edmunds for TMV a few days earlier, but an additional $2500 incentive had come in for the last 8 days of the months and they offered us that and something that was pretty close to TMV. They were pretty straight forward; didn't look our trade-in over and came in at a reasonably fair offer on that as well. We didn't bother test driving as we already had test driven one at several other dealerships. The vehicle we wanted was with Nav, and they could only locate one semi-local in black, so we told them we'd think about it. We double-checked the options etc. and decided to ask for TMV and offer more down to get our payments where we wanted and they agreed. They were able to get the vehicle in and delivered within a day (just before the end of the month). Daryle (our sales rep) went over the car with "Saturn-esque" detail, which was great as that is what my wife prefers. A+ for this dealership
