Horrible experience. My entire car deal was done through text message with a saleswoman. She originally advised the dealers fee of $ 322 would be waived however a day after we agreed upon a price and the terms, she said she would not be able to waive the fee. Next, she told me that as long as she had my completed Credit App before Friday, November 30th, it would be no problem for me to pick up the car on Saturday December 1st. The manager refused to honor our November deal since he didn't have a buyers agreement or deposit from me (I was never asked to provide a deposit or any documents other than the credit app). Last, my saleswoman took it upon herself to cancel my car when I asked about a disposition fee from my previous lease. When I told her I needed to know about this fee she assumed I didn't want the car and texted me "no worries we'll cancel it". (2) minutes later I wrote back that I was fine proceeding and I just needed to know about that fee. She claims that her phone died and she didn't see my message until after she left. When I arrived at the dealership to pick up my car, the manager refused to honor his deal due to the saleswoman's claim that I wanted to cancel the car. He also refused to look at the messages on my phone although I have everything stated above in writing, proof that I never told her to cancel the car and the time stamp on the messages which proves I responded to her only (2) minutes later. My horrible experience is well documented and I strongly suggest everyone avoids this dealership. Thankfully, I got a great deal on the car I wanted at another dealership the same day.

Unprofessional

Called sales person, informed I was a former customer and scheduled appointment to test drive an advertised vehicles. Even called with ETA of 20 min. Upon arrival, sales person was and had been with a prior customer to wit there was no way sales person could have reasonably been able to keep our appointment. Additionally, vechicle to test drive was buried 4 cars deep in lot. Obviously, appointments and customer service is void. Take home message, Don't waist your time or money. They do not care!

How on earth is this dealership rated premier anything ? I walked in with the intention of ordering a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, nobody even acknowledges that your there. Even after walking around the inside of the dealership twice! Not one person even said hello to me, much less ask me if I needed any help. I looked if there was any Wranglers available to check out. ( my 8 year old is obsessed with Wranglers, as am I). But there were none. There were however other people roaming around the store looking for guidance and I asked if one of them had anyone helped them and they replied "Nope, I guess they're busy" I said no they aren't busy they just don't care! the salesman were more interested in talking to each other and staring at there cell phones. Kind of perplexing considering there job is to "sell" cars. Or at least I thought that was there job. Very unfortunate, considering I was hoping to buy from a local dealer instead of going to Jersey. To be honest I not only speak for myself regarding this particular dealership, I personally know 2 individuals who told me not to waste my time there. Although there are quite a few more like it on the island. But this review probably wont get to the people who really should be reading it.

Ripped off. Never received hardware for soft top paid for with new jeep

I bought a brand new 2014 Jeep Wrangler from this establishment last year. With it I paid for a soft top to come in addition to the hard top. I did not need to use the soft top until about a month after purchasing the vehicle. I went though the trouble of taking off the hard top and then as I went to install the soft top I realize I was never given any of the hardware needed to complete the switch to the soft top: no windows, door channels, screws, etc. When I called the salesman who I purchased the car from, Bob, he essentially called me a liar saying that the hardware was in the car when I purchased it and he finds it suspicious that I am bringing it to his attention a month later. This is nothing but poor salesmanship. How was I supposed to know that I was missing the parts, this was my very first Jeep Wrangler purchase ever. Needless to say he would not give me the missing parts and said the best they could do is look around to see if they had any parts and then charge me for the hardware. The frustrating part is that I already paid for this when I spent 40K+ on the Wrangler to begin with! This experience has really put me off to dealing with these folks. It is a shame because I am in the market to buy a second new car and really enjoy the Jeep brand. Given how I feel ripped off by dealing with Merrick Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, I don't think I will be purchasing anything from these [non-permissible content removed] in the future. Such a shame to lose repeat business by refusing to make the customer whole!

Wanted to buy a 2013 Cherokee

Went to check out a 2013 Cherokee limited was told they have in in there storage lot I told the dealer I will come back later on in the week to come and see when I had more time he told me to call atleast a day before so he can have the car bought down called up 2 days prior spoke to Marc told him I was definetly coming down on Sunday I am very interested in the truck he promised me it would be there he was sending for it right then. When I showed up to the dealership he looked completely lost then told me he looking for the keys after about a 30 min wait of him [non-permissible content removed] with co workers he tells me the truck is not here it's in the storage lot and he is gonna take me to go see it so he pulls out a Laredo stock to take me to see the limited I wanted after waiting 20 mins more for him again to find the keys to the Laredo we begin our journey to the storage lot his excessive speeding and extremely hard braking made me sick then we finally get to the lot which is closed he jumps out and says he has to make a call after 10 mins he comes back and tells me he doesn't have the keys to the gate cause the kid who delivers the cars around took them home but he said the car is here but is buried and you can't see it so he thought I'd be impressed by him hitting the keyless entry remote on some car I can't even see an said you here that's the truck . I replied by saying I rather see the truck then hear some horn beeping to some random vehicle so we headed back to the dealer ship with the same sickening driving skills of Marc. Once we got back to the dealership he then has the nerve to ask if we can start to deal things out I looked at him as if he was drunk told him no he then said well call me tomorrow and I'll definetly have it here I just walked off. That was the worse customer service or sales experience I have ever seen

As a women I was not taken seriously when visiting the other Jeep Dealers. Not at Merrick Dodge Chrysler Jeep. My salesman Ira was a real gentlemen and not only did he give me a great price but I was treated with respect. I recommend them to anyone that wants a stress free sales process !

Bought my Wrangler in 2009 from them and went back to trade it in per their mailer. Geoffrey quoted me trade-in for 2008 not a 2009. Then Darren showed me the 2009 in the blue book but said that was for the 4-speed and he would have to deduct $1,000 for my manual 6-speed until I showed them the trade-in via the Jeep.com website for the 6-speed. Would not honor $1,500 over blue book trade-in and came up with all kinds of "reconditioning" charges. Wranglers in their inventory on their website are not at their advertised price. "One of our other customers didn't want their hardtop so we put it on this vehicle". Next time I buy a Wrangler is when Jeep sell direct over the internet.

Have to beg to buy a car

Walked in @ 815 pm Dealer closes @ 9 not one indivdual even bothered to ask me if I needed any assistance. Was ready to purchase a new Wrangler Unlimited. Was very interested in the Yellow one that was in the showroom, probably would have bought the one I had seen ,but was completely disappointed Let me just say I can completly understand why US automakers are in the tank. One would think that an automobile manufacturing company that was in such financial trouble would be more attentive to customers. It's not the first time I have seen this or experienced it . Just figured I would expect or should expect better from an " American" car company that needs money because they are running out of funding. Just my 2 cents.
