Was trying to purchase a 2007 Honda Element from their used car inventory. Sales person Niki. Was in constant contact and provided all information in order to purchase a car from out of state. I kept getting “I’m busy with a customer and will call you back soon.” Paper work was ready to go and only needed to take my payment. Wouldn’t call me back until sold to another customer who drove all the way from nj for more money. Delay tactic. Dont bother trying to purchase a vehicle from a so called internet specialist. Also didnt realize it was an auction site. Sale to the higher bidder.

Go Elsewhere - Let the buyer beware !

High-pressure sales items promised in Equus not in car. Dealer promises they can be installed and then tune changed until Hyundai corporate contacted . Dealership scratched all six windows when Equus lady showroom to get prepped . Lied to about having windows replaced when they were just buffed out . Multiple visits and three payment passed and car still not corrected . Latest return which was yesterday passenger who happened to be handicapped was in passenger side front seat and could not get out as doorhandles not reattached after windows finally taken care of . These guys I wouldn't trust to run a hotdog truck

Outstanding service

Just leased a car for the first time. South Shore Hyundai was outstanding! The salesman, Ji, was extremely knowledgeable and took his time to explain all the features of the car (2016 Sonata), especially all the tech features. When there was a slight delay, the manager, Dino, bought my wife and I lunch! Overall, a great buying experience.

I had a GREAT "first-time new car buyer" experience at South Shore Hyundai! Everyone was pleasant and inviting but I had the pleasure of working mostly with Troy Pitt. He was very approachable and able to answer all of my questions, and if he wasn't sure, he made sure to consult and get back to me with answers. He started with looking for the specific car I wanted based on my wish list, whether used or leased since I was undecided. Eventually I came to a decision. Troy was always available by phone or text which was such a convenience. I was able to get everything I wanted and more in this vehicle. My 2016 Sonata Limited with Ultimate & Tech Package is totally worth the money and the time I spent finalizing everything. Thank you Troy Pitt for making my first car buying experience such a smooth and enjoyable experience!! Best of luck to you. See you for my next car wash :)

Ron was very attentive to me and my husband as we explained what we were looking for. He went over several options with us and always told us the price of the vehicles that were within our budget. Today we came in to return our lease and purchase a new car. We were helped by Troy Pitt. Troy was exceptional and made the leasing process very easy. His professionalism and attentiveness was beyond our expectations. We had a particularly complicated situation that Troy saw through to the very end. Not once did he loose his patience or make us feel as though we did not deserve to lease a new car. horrible service department

I bought a 2005 vw jetta with 59k miles from here not even four months ago. Had an ok time buying the car. They gave me the first 3 oil changes included in the package so i said why not use them. I went to go get it done and after waiting 6 hours it was finally done. So the next time i did not want to wait so i went to my regular mechanic and he showed me the lack of work they did. To start off they never changed the oil, nor did they change the filter, next the "mechanic" stripped the bolt which leaked out most of the oil in the second set of 3k miles. So now there was oil all over the bottom of my motor and transmission. The same day that happens my catalytic converter light went on when the supposibly fixed that when i bought the car, i also had a trunk problem where it would not close securely and they did not fix that either. after waiting 7 hours today for them to tell me theyll cover the oil pan and not anything else i called hyundai corporate office and they were just as much help as the service manager. They told me they have no part with the dealership and since its private they cant do anything about it. I get that a used car has used car problems but for the problems that the dealer was suppost to fix in the beginning and never did really gets me aggrivated. Espicially for never changing the oil in the car and returning it to me in an unsafe condition. I will never bring the car back there and will make sure to tell everyone about how much of an inconvenience this was for me.

We went in to renew our lease and both Rob Betts and Michael Ficklin we're very helpfully in getting us into our new car. Rob was very welcoming and friendly to work with. He got us such a great deal on such a beautiful car! Both Rob and Michael made getting a new car a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend South Shore Hyundai to anyone looking to buy a new car without the normal dealership hassle!

I have purchased/leased many a vehicle in my day, and I must say this was my best experience! Everyone from the original phone call I received when I was shopping for a dealer (JoJo) to the salesperson (Ron), to the finance rep (Jason) to the delivery liaison (Fred) was PERFECT! Could not ask to be taken better care of. Will buy again from this dealer when the time comes.....

The old bait and switch

After visiting three dealerships prior to Advantage Hyundai I was hoping they would give me the best deal out of all three seeing as I was going from one Hyundai lease into another one. first and foremost I initially felt at ease I felt our salesperson was knowledgeable I was very wrong. We decided at 4:30 PM that our sales person had hit the right number for our budget so we agreed to sign papers. That's when it started to go down hill. We kept getting hit with misinformation left and right and by 6:30 when we were finally ready to sign the paper work we got the inevitable numbers change. "well what would you like to do about the over mileage"? Well we had discussed that our main issue from the get go was that we needed it to be rolled into the new lease. By that point we had been there for almost 4 hours with little to no communication about what was going on. We decided to just cancel the whole thing and go with another offer we had from Ford. At that point we had the head sales manager come over and try the your credit score is not up to snuff approach and this is all we can do. This is exactly what happened to us at a prior Hyundai dealership, however we had already had our credit run and although it was not perfect it was far from horrific. I have never missed or been late on a payment. The cherry on top is that we were so annoyed at that point I left without my license ever being returned. I went back the next day and after 5 minutes was told it was not there and that they must have given it back to me or it could have been shredded with the file. I double and triple checked my pocketbook, wallet, Jeans, car, and phone case. If you want to be offered numerous cups of coffee and have someone only care about the sale then definitely come here to get your car. I will be going back to the original Ford dealership who quoted me honestly with no number changes even after my credit was run. I will end up having to put some money down but I will Never buy lease or recommend Hyundai ever.

No paperwork

This dealership uses deceitful tactics to fool the buyer into a false sense of assurance. Originally I was pleased with my buying experience. Until I got home and realized I had not received any paperwork when I left with the car. As soon as I realized this I called and they told me I had to come back and pick it up. When I did go back no one knew where my paperwork was and I was told by Izzy he would overnight it. That never happened but what did happen is they wrongfully changed the terms of my warranty contract stating that the warranty company had "kicked it back" and my 5yr 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty was no longer valid. They tried to get me to sign a new contract for a 2yr 24,000 powertrain warranty! I was shocked that they thought this would be ok. I refused and argued and was able to get a 3 yr 36,000 mile warranty out of them. Which is a big difference then the original one. And remember they never gave me my paperwork so I had no proof that I ever signed the better warranty. That paperwork was no longer valid so theY destroyed it. Like I originally stated deceitful, unprofessional and just plain wrong practices go on in this place.... STAY AWAY!!!

Fred is great

I walked into South shore hyundai today and was luck enough to have Fred work with me.. he made the process as fast and easy as possible.. was able to drive of the lot with a 2013 Boston Red hyundai veloster and I'm very pleased. Wouldn't mind going though it all again if Fred is right by my side.. I never felt pushed to the side and was never waiting more than five minutes so I thank him for that ... again south Shore hyundai is a great place to go car shopping and if you can deal with fred

I Couldn't Ask For Better!!!!

My story is rather simple; I went in for an oil change, and had 6 months left on my lease. I was greeted by Fred Heller on line while waiting to pull into service. Very friendly, and NOT pushy about their UPGRADE program. I went downstairs and watched some TV over some Starbucks coffee. We met again, and chatted some more. He went back to the computer, ran this and that, and returned with some figures. We talked about my concerns, as I am a retired senior, and have a VERY set budget. His manager, Roberto, worked, worked, and worked on my proposal for a 2015 Sonata. My wife and I are retired, and in our 80's, but still take road-trips to places, so we needed a well equipped car. Let me tell you, I have been buying cars since the 1950's, and I have not met a guy like this guy Fred. I have not been asked, coached, or helped to write this review..............In all the years I have been buying cars, he was unmatched, and I'll tell all the world why.......................HE CARED! Yes, I could have bought the car anywhere, but there was one difference.........FRED HELLER! Being 83 years old, I have bought a few cars in my day, and he made me so comfortable, that I thought I was spending the day with my son! He even threw change on the passenger floor of my car for good luck. Everything was smooth, relaxed, explained, and not rushed. I have to also mention that he was mentoring a very sweet young man by the name of Ricky who was all too lucky to have such a wonderful teacher! Ricky does not know what a mentor he has! The bottom line is this, I was treated with upmost respect in regards to all aspects of my car. I was treated like a KING; as I was introduced to the General Manager, the Service Manager, and even shown the repair facility by Fred and Ricky. Since I already had a Sonata, I already was having my car serviced at South Shore, But Fred and Ricky took the time time to introduce me to all the service writers, as well as the service manager; Jay, who was a great guy! Fred even brought me INTO the shop, showed me the spotless floors, and told me about their state of the art facility. I have to say this.......I bought my 2013 from Hyundai Of Valley Stream in 2013 after my car was totaled by Sandy, and they wereTERRIBLE..............and I left there feeling like they just wanted my money......If you want a Hyundai, go see "My Guy........Fred". As he told me, "I'm not the biggest guy in volume, but I am the biggest in HAPPY CUSTOMERS". Well, he has one right here. "Period" I can't think of anyway he could have made my experience better. Thank You Fred................I am now a totally loyal customer! You delivered what you promised, and soooooooooooooooo much more.

Excellent Attention, Great Buying Experience!

I was attended by my wonderful sales agent Laura. I walked in looking for a used vehicle I saw online and I ended up getting a much better deal. I was able to make the descision to purchase a much better car ; my Hyundai Elantra, after Laura listened to my needs and had a conversation with me. I felt she understood exactly what kind of car I was looking for and was able to recommend a perfect fit! I am so happy with the expertise and competence of the team at South Shore Hyundai. They did everything they are able to do to work with me and my situation. I am getting compliments all the time about my vehicle and I will recommend anyone to check them out if your looking for a vehicle. I will recommend all my friends and family!

Thank You South Shore Hyundai! LOVE my car!

GREAT experience all around! I purchase my 2004 Jeep Liberty as a pre-owned vehicle from South Shore Hyundai a few months ago and so far so good. I had terrible credit and though I was unfinanceable until I stopped in after seeing my Libby on their lot as I drove by on Sunrise Highway. After a quick test drive I fell in love with both the truck and the price. 3 hours later I was driving home in my new Jeep. Since then I've been in to see Ed Thornton in service and Rob Langdon in their parts departments and both times I was treated very well. I think I've found my new "home" lol. P.S. go there on Saturday mornings EARLY and get a free manicure while you wait to have your car serviced lol.
