2024 Red SUV

by Traveler on 04/09/2024

Unusually easy new-car buying experience. Salesman informative, friendly and accommodating. Found what I wanted, made a decision, had the grand tour and drove away satisfied.

Excellent Customer Service Experience

by Heather M. on 09/14/2023

The service coordinator, Mitch, was friendly and knowledgeable. He made sure that I had a shuttle ride to and from work. Moreover, he viewed some of the issues in which I was having that were accessible to his eye (rear window not going down). Mitch explained things for me as needed. The gentleman who drove the shuttle was very personable and we had a good conversation about teaching, as he is a retired teacher and I am an educator as well.

Nice, quick, and probably $20-$30 dollars cheaper than oil change places.

Best car buying experience

by lazylady on 04/11/2017

I purchased from Lindy and she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She made car buying fun like it should be instead of a hassle, I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a vehicle.

I had the same terrible experience with Dennis Gonzales!

by loriqueenbead on 03/26/2010

I read the other review and thought, WOW I HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE. I was interested in a small used Pontiac and Dennis Gonzales was the first salesman to call on me. He was so [violative content deleted]... I was stunned. I asked him what the book value was and he told me there was "NO Book". Ha! He really thought I was an idiot because I was a woman. I tried to talk to him for a while but he was such a [violative content deleted], I simply left. Tossed his card, and went back and waited for someone else to wait on me. Rob Virtuoso did his best in the negotiation and when it was over and we agreed he was a decent enough guy. I would never deal with Dennis Gonzales again, I hear he has moved to Basil.

Obnoxious Salesman Expects Us to Pay Full Sticker

by alwaysangie on 05/03/2009

We're in a situation where we need to buy a used minivan or SUV with third row seating so we've been checking around for both. The slick acting salesman, Dennis Gonzales, showed us several vehicles we were interested in, raving about them all but had no word when asked about some of the faults (like the storage compartment door that was stuck). He had a 2005 Chevy Uplander that had good options with low miles and in decent shape. We'd seen it with some of the others online (and had already checked out retail/private/and trade in prices). This one was listed for $11998 but he told us it was $14500 and $13900. When we told him the regular Internet price (not the so-called "special Internet pricing" some sites offer), he began to rave non-stop about how it was an amazing price and all the amazing options it has (even though he didn't know what some were or what some things in the vehicle did and tried to tell us there were heated mirrors though there wasn't). He kept going on and on ad naseum about how it was an AMAZING deal. I know car salesmen are supposed to do this but the other guys at other dealerships were not nearly as thick with the schmooze as this guy was. However, we decided to buy it and offered him $10 to start figuring we'd start the haggling process. Dennis basically scolded us and told us that they weren't going to sell it at that price (no duh if that's our first offer). He wouldn't make a counter offer, just kept going on about how they would not do that and expected to get full retail for the vehicle, which was $12K and why did we insist on paying less. He said the Internet price was the special price (though it didn't say that) and can't be lowered (though there's a "make offer" button on their web page for THAT minivan, so yeah, whatever.) Since he tried to bully us with the retail number, we threw out the full top trade in value of $6900, which we knew they didn't pay (or made up for it elsewhere if they did). Now even if they actually paid that for the minivan trade in, that'd still be $5000 over trade in that they would've received. Now why would I say ok to that for a USED car that's four plus years old? He asked why we insisted on haggling. When we told him that hardly anyone pays sticker and haggling is expected for cars, just like with houses, he told us that car sales were up even though housing sales were down. (In this recession? ROFL! I smell more b.s.) That also explains why the other dealerships kept trying to get us to stay and buy that night, saying they'd work with us. Yet Dennis apparently wasn't interested in our business. Finally, after quite a long time of him acting as if we were insane to not pay sticker, we got tired of his obnoxious attitude and said we'd do $10,900 as our final offer. That's still a MINIMUM of $4000 to the dealership and a big woo-woo $1000 off for us. Not the best deal for us but we certainly weren't trying to screw over the dealership (wish they could say the same). Steve got on the phone with "Mike" again and told him that we would still only offer $10,000 (not the $10,900 we just offered). They did give us $200 off the $11900 price. Oh wow! Two hundred?! Where do we sign up? Needless to say, we walked out, tired of the stupid, sleazy car sales games. We get that they want their commission but why should we get screwed to line their pockets. Our offer was more than fair and gave the dealership several thousand just for a used car but Dennis wanted to be greedy and apparently thought "stupid" was tattooed on our foreheads. In hindsight, we DO owe him a thank you. Turns out that the Chevy Uplander got the worst vehicle award several years in a row and also came in 8th place out of 8 minivans. So for that, Dennis, THANK YOU! We'll make sure to look for a better vehicle...elsewhere.

Amazing product, lowsy salesman.

by rawr on 01/07/2008

I went to a few chevy dealers, and though all the payments were the same, Heinrich does have a large selection. They were the only ones in the area to have the exact cobalt I was looking for, when I was looking for it, so I had to either order one, or buy from them. Sadly, my salesman (Dave) was a real [violative content deleted], though knew how to cover it up. He comes off as a nice guy, but you'll soon realise that he'd be willing to toss in his own mother for an extra dollar. I never met the owner, which I would have liked to do, nor did I get a tour of the premises. I would have liked to know where I was getting my services done, ect. The salesman was in such a hurry to make his commision, that I believe his commision worksheet was filled out before I even got to sign the buyers order. Other than for the salesman, and the poor Customer service, Heinrich wasnt too horrible. Ive seen worse. Good-luck, and if at all possible, stray away from dave. =]
