Very Unwelcoming

That rep, who unfortunately I've had to deal with a few times when bringing my cars in for service. Have a very.. whatever kinda attitude, he behaves as if he's doing me a favor by being there. Not very helpful. I went tenergywice in a four day span to have two different cars serviced. The first day I got a different guy.. totally different .

Bad Service Experience- Atlantic Chevy Bayshore, NY

Brought car in for oil change and inspection. Service Advisor tells me that the car barely passed inspection due to threads on right side tires. He said he was surprised since it only had 25K miles and they believe it was under inflated. They quoted me a price for tires and alignment but said they didn't have in stock. I said ok and proceeded to pay for service. I am half way home and notice no new sticker so i head back and the advisor calls the shop and now he states he said the tires didn't pass inspection but the invoice has it passed. I asked to provide the report from NYS to show it failed and according to them they didn't put it on machine because they would have to charge me for a failed inspection. So they refunded the inspection after complaining and when I asked to speak with service manager three times i finally was able to get into the office and he was like well people make mistakes and things like this happen. I said how big of a mistake when one said pass the other said fail. So my response was i get it this place is running a scam to increase sales and don't worry i will never bring my car back to this dealership and never buy another chevy. He goes wow you aren't willing to work with us as i was going to sell u the tire at costs because of this mistake and i said nope have a nice day scammer. The best part of this entire story is that I ended up bringing the car to my old mechanic and the car passed and no issues with the tires. I should've learned my lesson when the sales manager pulled a scam on my trade in when i first bought the car. If this gets published even though this dealership is the cheapest I would never recommend them to anyone because of their business practices of the art of deceiving and trying to scam people!!!!!!!

Deceptive-Stay Away

Will say what they need to get you in the door, but seek nothing except their own gain. It was like pulling teeth to get information out of customer service, in which they were aggressive and borderline rude. The car and the price was poorly inaccurate via online listing (I drove nearly 2 hours to visit this business and they were made aware of this prior to my visit). They sell high above market value (and won't budge an inch) and they laughably lowball trade-ins. I visited a legitimate dealership the day before and was offered $1k more for my trade-in than this one right off the bat. They will tell you they want to put you in a high quality car for a good deal, but it's all textbook slime car salesman nonsense. Total and complete utter waste of time. Stay far away for your own good.

Terrible, unethical and deceptive

Don't bother trying to purchase any vehicle at the advertised price, they will not honor the prices they list. It's just to get you in the door and then they add some bogus surcharges as well as demanding financing thru the dealer(think kickback). Stay away at all costs truly dishonest!

Questionable sales practices!! I called about a Certified 2015 Cadillac they listed on several web sites (including the GM Certified site). It took 3 days to respond as they were unable to find the car or the keys, not a good way to start a sale. Was told the listed price was only if car was financed in-house, Since I was paying cash they charge a 3% fee ($1k more), they then add a admin fee ($695 more), then they add registration fee's ($87.50 more) even though I was registering the car on my own. Now comes the best part of the sales experience, I receive the sales agreement and it states the car isn't Certified. Spoke with sales rep, he tells me the certification isn't included, even though it is clearly stated on multiple sites, including their own web site. Incredible.. Typical sleazy/shade sales practices..

Horrific, lying, dishonest

Astonishingly horrific. The salesman Ben was kind and helpful and honest, wrote down the final price tag, and all was done and agreed upon. The vehicle pulled up, and as we were handing over the check for the sales order, a new manager, Joseph Tribble, tried to secretly tack on $500 without telling us. When my wife and I said so, Joseph became belligerent, stomped over, shouting at us, and then stood over my wife condescendingly, loudly intimidated her, and kept loudly cutting her off. He then called me thief, simply for asking for the price they had written down and that we all agreed upon. Honestly, this is the worst professional experience I've ever witnessed or experienced. Don't go here, you'll definitely regret it, this is a dealership that has a management structured to wear the customer down to the point of exhaustion, then swindle them out of a few more dollars. I went to another Chevy dealer, and they matched the price and then went even a couple hundred lower, all with honesty, kindness, and straightforward integrity. I'm not going to say which other dealer I went to, because I'm not plugging another business, I'm merely trying to save the buyer from such a horrific experience as I had with Atlantic Chevrolet of Bay Shore, with Joseph Tribble.

Buyer Beware

I am extremely disappointed and disheartened to be writing this review after purchasing my 2015 Silverado from Atlantic Chevrolet. I have e-mailed Jim Coogan (Customer Relations Manager) in regards to this issue, and have not received a response from him as of yet. I purchased this above mentioned truck on 2/7/18. My factory bumper to bumper warranty expired 1/15/18 less than a month prior, though I was very comfortable buying my truck due to the fact that I was assured it was Certified, and came with a bumper to bumper warranty for 1 year from the day I bought it. Certified trucks garner a premium price due to the security and peace of mind when purchasing, which I was willing to pay for. A week after I took delivery, I was cleaning my truck and was under it for the first time, and was aghast at the condition of the truck's frame. The frame is rotting/rusting quite badly (it is only 3 years old). After a minimal amount of research, I found that this is a common issue for Silverados which is detailed in TSB number PI0564G. I wasn't too concerned due to the fact that I had a bumper to bumper warranty and my truck was certified. However, I learned through a service adviser at Atlantic Chevrolet, that my truck was in fact not covered, and GM would only pay for half of the bill to repair my cancerous frame. I just spent $35,000 on this truck and put $8,000 down. Though no amount is acceptable to split, I assume this bill to fix this problem is in the thousands of dollars. Had I known this to be the case, I would have never bought this truck. Who would ever spend $35,000 on a Certified pre-owned truck when right off the lot, it needs thousands of dollars in frame work to make it just acceptable. The factory bumper to bumper warranty covered this work no problem, but apparently my Certified pre-owned bumper to bumper warranty is no help. The service adviser at Atlantic acknowledged as I was mentioning my frame problem that "its a common issue," and "we've done a few of these TSB jobs before." I was sold this truck when it is no secret to Chevrolet or Atlantic Chevrolet that this is a common problem and it was never mentioned to me. Worse yet, I put a deposit on the truck only 2 weeks after the factory bumper to bumper expired - though a consumer would be lead to believe a Certified pre-owned bumper to bumper warranty carries the same weight. I have contacted General Motors in regards to this issue and it has been forwarded to a senior adviser on their end. I hope that through corporate and maybe the good faith cooperation of the dealership that this issue can be rectified, and my faith and praise in Atlantic can be restored. Until then, this negative review will stand, and I will continue to actively spread my displeasure with everyone who will listen. To make this right, either GM needs to cover 100% of this work, or Atlantic Chevrolet needs to cover the other 50% that GM is expecting me as an unsuspecting consumer to pay. I have emailed Jim Coogan (Customer Relations Manager for Atlantic Chevrolet) who is referenced below in his response to my original review. He has failed to answer my e-mail in a timely manner. If they really care about "the utmost in quality and customer satisfaction" like he says, then they will pay for my truck to be repaired to a state that is satisfactory to even be sold to a consumer in the first place.

Unsatisfied client: Luis Sanchez

On Tuesday 6th of June I took my car for an oil leak inspection and supposedly everything was fine. The next day a message appeared that said “low oil pressure shut off the engine” and I went back to the dealer again, they told me that to leave it in repair that had to happen constantly, my concern was a damage to the engine, they told me a problem like this (engine issue) is covered for the warranty; Imagine if they have taken so long to fix something simple, an engine damage how long it will take?. The point is that it happened again and since friday 9th the car is in its installations. I went last thursday and there was no response to being repaired. My wife and I are disabled/handicap persons and we need the comfort of our car. I received a call last week telling that they have not started any reparation yet. It seems they only are interested for selling and when something happens to your car…

We had the best experience at Atlantic chevy. When we walked in I was upset because we were coming from a different dealership that was not even trying to help us out. Nadia came over and everything changed she asked us what we were looking for and understood exactly what we wanted and the price range we needed to be in she had us go for a test drive first. We confirmed that we wanted the traverse. Well Nadia went to work looking threw their inventory to help us find the color we wanted the Captain chairs we needed and for a price that we could work with. She is so knowledgeable about the traverse Nadia actually set everything up for us on our phones and in the vehicle. I highly suggest if your looking for a new car go to Atlantic chevy and ask for Nadia. She will help you find the best fit for you.

Paul Coppola has to be the most honest salesmen I have ever dealt with this is my second car going through him... not once did he make me feel pressured to buy a car or go out of my comfort zone for where I wanted to be..

No Service

Received a automatic call by a very nice woman Meghan to set up an appointment for service. She said if I needed a loaner car it would take about a week and a half. I said fine and set up the appointment for 7:30 am. Upon arriving found aprox. 15 to 20 cars on a line in front of me. After waiting on line for 20 minutes line had not moved. At this point I left. I traded in a BMW for this Cadillac. When I went to BMW service, I showed up at the designated time and there was someone waiting there to greet me. They took me to the service desk and handed me the keys for the loaner. If it took 5 minutes it was a lot. This is what I call service. Atlantic should take a lesson on what service is, and have regard for their customers time. I will find another dealership to service my car, and if I purchase another Cadillac, I will buy it there also.

Unethical and Unprofessional

Bought a Certified Pre Owned Chevy Corvette from this dealer. When I went to pick up the car I had just purchased, I had to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes while they did their dealer preparation duties even though they knew exactly when I'd be arriving to pick up the car. When I later complained to the Sales Mgr about the unprofessional treatment, he said that since it was the end of the month, he felt they did a pretty good job getting me out so quickly!! Then, when the car was finally ready, I was only handed one key for the car. When I asked for the spare key, I was told because they only received one key when they purchased the car, that's all I'd be getting and that if I wanted a spare key, it would be my responsibility to buy one (estimated cost $175). When I said it was unethical to inform me on an after the fact basis that there was only one key, they said it was my error for not asking if there were two keys beforehand that I should not have assumed the car would come with a spare key. What a way to run a business!

amazing experience
