Had problems with this dealer showing cars in the past (salespeople never came over to help after 20 minutes), but when we pulled up Melissa was standing outside to help us with anything we needed. We thought she was a customer waiting for a salesperson, but she was super nice and showed us the Highlander and Rav4. Unfortunately neither was good for us but she was very nice about it. Had either been good for us, we would have tried to make a deal on the spot with her. If Interstate had more people like Melissa their reputation would surely improve. I believe most of the very positive reviews of Interstate were written by employees.

Unbelievably pleasant!

This was the most pleasant transaction we've ever had in a car dealership. Fast, efficient, fair, courteous. I think Interstate genuinely cares about repeat business and serving as a "small town" dealer. I like how the sales managers are right on the floor, and not in a secret room in the back. The didn't have the car we wanted on the lot, but they found the exact match within five minutes, and the pricing remained competitive. Amazing!

Running a scam buying used vehicles

I was contacted by a sales associate from this dealer regarding a used 2012 Toyota I had for sale. After seeing my ad and speaking with me in detail he referred me to John Keklik, the used car manager, and said that I would be offered $15,300 for the car. When I arrived, Keklik looked at the car and said his associate told him it had navigation in it, but it does not. I explained that was not correct and I had told the associate it did not have nav. He offered 13,900 and I told him that would not do as we had a tentative offer at 15,300. He tried to say the car needed tires, but was advised that it has brand new Michelin tires on it. Clearly he did not look at the tires. The car was presented in excellent condition just as I had described it to the associate and in my ad. I later re-contacted the associate who apologized and appeared genuinely upset that this was a scam. I was fortunate that I only lost three hours of my time and the cost of gas and tolls in this incident.

Returned after 20 year boycott of toyota arrogance. My online experience with Steve and in house experience with Alex were excellent. This dealer treats you like they want your business and want to provide you with ongoing service. I stopped buying toyota's after experiencing a arrogant rockland dealership and switch to subaru. I have now returned to toyota because of the way Interstate dealt with me throughout the purchase of my 2014 tundra. No games played, Alex promptly processed tags and registration, no hidden fees, upfront presentation of price. I got the lowest price of 10 area dealers at interstate within a day of contacting Steve. I highly recommend these guys for your next new toyota.

First and last time Toyota Buyer

I have nothing but great things to say about the salesman I dealt with, he was helpful, efficient and did not try to pressure me or sell me something I did not want. Unfortunately the financial department was not only unorganized, but screwed up my entire loan and after a month of dealing with them when the financial manager was "supposedly" fixing it, I have gotten nothing but the run around and nothing has been solved. My first payment which was directly given to the financial manager (of the Airmont Interstate location) was never submitted and a week later my payment is considered late in the finance department. After signing two sets of contracts(after the first initial incorrect one where the financial manager tried to deceive me) my payments have still not been fixed and no one in the dealership ever gives me a straight answer nor do they call me back. Sadly I will NEVER buy a Toyota again and will recommend that anyone I know never set foot in this dealership. This is the 6th car I have purchased for myself from a dealership as new, my son has had 2 new cars, my daughter 3 and my husband 5 (all financed as new cars) and there was never one issue with the purchase or financial department of any of those vehicles. Interstate Toyota seems to be the only place I have had to file a complaint about and this is after I have spent over a month chasing them and playing phone tag over a mistake that they made.

I will recommend Interstate Toyota to all my family and friends looking for a great van or car. I looked around at other family vans but the Toyota Sienna was my choice the style and performance of this van is amazing !
