When I first saw how nice the Customer Waiting Area is here (pool table, computer workstations, food, etc.) I was hoping for a better than usual dealer service experience, but I've been repeatedly disappointed. Although the people you deal with are very professional, clearly the level of technical competence here is unacceptable. For example, I had to return to the dealer 4 times before a Check Engine light was correctly repaired. On one of the visits the light came back on before I had even left the dealership's parking lot. Another time I was having trouble with the audio system in my car, and after they kept my car for 2 days they told the problem was not unique to my car, that Mercedes was working on a fix, and that they would call me when MB told them how to repair it. Months passed and they never called back, and it was fixed only when I reminded them I was still waiting. But the worst was when I needed a transmission repair. After they worked on my car, luckily I noticed the puddle of transmission fluid on my garage floor every morning. They had neglected to replace one of the gaskets when they had the transmission apart, and I can only imagine how much damage would have been done had I not noticed.
