Ads are misleading, Managers less than truthful

Went in to purchase a used car featured in their ad. I was prepared to complete the sale but It was getting late (close to closing) and the Asst Mgr said I could return the next day to complete the purchase and asked what time I would be in. I gave him the time for the next afternoon and he shook my hand and said "see you then". When I returned at the stated time the Sales Mgr said the car was sold and that there was no way the Asst Manager would have agreed to hold the vehicle. Gave me a long story about why they couldn't hold the vehicle but none of it was convincing or verifiable. I wouldn't trust anything the Management personnel say based on my experience. They reinforce the negative descriptions you hear about used car salesmen.

Kerbeck Automotive.. How shall I start. Lets start by their tv ad. When Mr. Kerbeck say's " We bought these vehicles for pennies on the dollar, so we could pass the savings on to you". Let me tell you about their ad in the paper. A vehicle advertised for X amount of money looked like a good deal to my wife and I. But what a run around we got. The first person said he could not locate the vehicle it was probably sold. Two weeks later with the vehicle still advertised the next salesmen said I'll call you when the vehicle is located. The last salesman showed us the vehicle which was in the showroom and told us the advertised price is with all the rebates and that you qualiffy for all except 200 dollars, etc ,etc. Guess what,, the vehicles price went up 5,000 dollars over the add price. My wife and I looked at the sales person and laughed. That vehicle was advertised for over 6 weeks and the same model is being advertised for the same gimmic price today. Mr. Kerbeck pennies on the dollar my A&&.. Ken Millard
