Definition of a dishonest buisiness

My experience with this place was very limited (at least initially). I returned my lease here, and the staff told me i had to give them the end of lease fee and cost for over milage. It has now been 7 months and I've been fighting with toyota ever since, as they claim i never paid these fee's and that the dealer doesn't take these fees, or log the mileage, even though they have my milage in their system from the day i returned it. Toyota is now trying to say they will attack my credit based on a delinquent account. Needless to say, in my opinion, unless you are buying a car with cash id say, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER. The financial department is just shady.

The people at Toyota of Portsmouth were very helpful and considerate during the purchase of my new 4Runner. I felt they truly cared about my needs and not just about making a sale. This was the second time I have purchased from this dealer and I will continue to give them my business.

We were very satisfied with the salesperson who showed us the car and the person who wrote up the purchase. I had purchased to previous pre-owned Camrysand have enjoyed regular service from this dealership for twelve years. They are honest, courteous and capable. We feel that we paid a fair price for the Prius and know the dealership will back up their sale.

Being a past customer of this dealership, it was a pleasure to again purchase a vehicle here, after purchasing my last Toyota from another dealership. From the moment we were greeted by our salesman, the test drive, the negotiation process, dealing with the managers and the final purchase, we were treated with respect and made to feel very comfortable. I would recommend both the product and this dealership to anyone in the market for what I feel was an honest and fair deal.

From the minute I met Lowell, I knew I would be purchasing a car from him. He was not pushy at all. We had a quick, frank discussion. He told me what he could do and let me walk out the door. I didn't receive any pesky management calls or emails following that meeting, unlike a few other dealerships in the area. Needless to say I wasn't impressed by the sales dept. at any other dealer in the area, so I went back to the one place that I felt comfortable in. Thanks Toyota of Portsmouth and Lowell, you have a loyal customer now.

I had a great experience with Portsmouth Toyota. Showed up one Sunday just to look at new vehicles. Drove out three hours later with a new Highlander. Sales & finance personnel were great consultants, and even the owner was on site to offer insight and assistance. They all anticipated and answered any questions and made the overall experience easier than I could have imagined. Nothing but the highest praise for this group.

As soon as we walked into the dealership, we were met by a very professional sales associate named Lloyd R. We explained what we were looking for and started the test drives. Lloyd was very informative and thorough. We decided what vehicle we wanted and started the negotiating. After a couple of offers from the dealership on our trade-in, we agreed on a great monthly lease term. The vehicle was cleaned to our satisfaction. Lloyd went over all options on our new car and made sure we understood how to operate everything. He even programmed my phone into the Bluetooth feature on the radio. I will definitely use Toyota of Portsmouth, NH again for my next car purchase. Lloyd and the owner of this 5 star dealership have already sent an e-mail congratulating us on our new car purchase. The BBQ hotdogs and hamburgers were a real treat too!!

Had a bit of a surprise needing to buy a new car, but swung by Portsmouth Toyota knowing what I wanted, what I would pay, and what I wanted for trade. Brian did a great job getting me into the Highlander that fit my needs perfectly, financing was done exactly as promised, and the whole thing settled quickly. All I need when I buy a car is to have the salespeople be straight-up. Worked out perfectly at this dealer.

I could not have had a better experience. Michelle Muchemore and Mike Langmaid made my experience so simple and straightforward. No haggling, no pressure, just nice straightforward people. I got the car I wanted at a VERY fair price, and I was given even more than I expected for my trade in. Everyone was super friendly, I would highly recommend this dealership.

Better than Dube and Hurlbert

I spent most of my weekend at Dube Toyota and Hurlbert Toyota getting prices on a new Corolla. I got a better car for 20 dollars less a month, and a much better trade-in appraisal at Portsmouth Toyota. Lowell was an excellent salesman (as far as car salesmen go.) Very nice guy. Shop these guys last. It's worth the time. Oh, and the dogs are pretty cool, too. Thanks!

My car finally broke down on me after 8 years. I was sinking hundreds of dollars into it and getting nowhere, pun intended. I had done my research and knew that Toyota was the way to go as far as reliability and having a long life. I called Toyota in Portsmouth and was put in touch with Michelle. I was in a desperate situation and could have easily been taken advantage of. I told her my price range and she gave me options right away. She seemed to know the inventory like the back of her hand. The next day I went in and Michelle connected me with Tom, I was test driving a rav4 within ten minutes. Tom was very personable and comfortable to be around. I must say he did not fit the car salesman stereotype. He was honest and helpful. In fact all of the staff on that day was very friendly. I decided I wanted to buy the rav4 but had to stick to my original budget. Tom was very respectful of this. I was introduced to the finance manager, Mark who immediately went to work for me to get my needs met. I was able to stay within my price range with a five year warranty included!!!! I don't know why I waited this long to drive something I can count on.

Worst Dealership in NH

I have been looking for a truck for quite some time, (my truck was part of the tacoma recall) and I had been into the dealership several times over the past few weeks. the orginal salesman I spoke to was ok... not great but ok. The last time I went in my salesman was not there so I had to talk to a saleman who never introduced himself them argued over the model truck I was looking for, so far as to tell me it did not exist. (I have not only done my research, but I also LOVE tacomas and my boyfriend went to school to learn how to work on toyotas... the truck exists) We sternly corrected him, he then told me that the model I wanted was only a 2WD. That the SR5 package did not come on the 4WD. (Wrong again...) He them went to "talk to the manager and print a write up of the truck in question". when he came back he told me only one existed, however I had been to so many dealerships, that I had seen this sheet about a dozen times. When looking at the stock number for the truck I saw it was the same stock number as all the others at all the other dealerships... the "demo" number...He told me he couldnt lower the price on the truck even $500, and it wasnt a "big deal for me to pay" I told him I couldnt come up with even that much. He said "I know you must have gotten a lot from Toyota for the recall" to which I replied "It wasnt enough, I should have gotten more for the shape it was in" Im not kidding... he laughed in my face and said "well them youre nuts." I got up and stormed out with the salesman sarcasticlly yelling "have a wonderful night". Overall this is by far the worst dealership I have ever been to, and dont let them fool you when they say they won the presidents award for excellency- it was a mistake to give it to them.
