Buyer Beware!

by Phil Ventura on 12/14/2022

This is the most dishonest dealership I have ever dealt with. I will never do business with Centennial Toyota again. I will forever discourage everyone I know from doing business with them. If you really want a Toyota look elsewhere as this place has no ethics or integrity. Please use extreme caution! Best place to go if you want to be lied to at every opportunity. The "managers" are some of the most crooked you'll ever deal with. You won't get a honest price. They won't make things right even after admitting fault. After buying a car from them, you will never want to buy a car again. Salespeople represent every negative stereotype you know about car salesman.

No where better

by JiannaP32 on 08/02/2018

I worked with Michael Snook and he got me into a 2018 Toyota Corolla yesterday. Brian Castaneda (Finance Manager), Kevin Vanetta (Assistant Sale Manager), and Jason "Mix" Meiner (Sales Manager) also helped me. I would never go anywhere else, honestly. The thing I appreciate the most is the fact when I stepped out of my old car, from the time I am writing this review with my new car in the garage, I never once felt like any of them pushed me into something. Mind you it was the last day of the month and yet, I still never felt pressured in a pushy, "salesman" manner... you know, the stereotype everyone talks about. I definitely recommend Michael Snook at Centennial Toyota. Thank you for all of your help and I will be back! 5 star rating!

Shady disgusting financial dealings

by Honestreview on 06/06/2018

The dealer said they were including a 12 month warranty in the financing. A 24 month, $2200 warranty was charged to me. All the while buddying up as veteran Marine brothers with my boyfriend. When I called to resolve this deception the sales manager, Shawn Barzak, lied continuously about our verbal agreement. Social media is full of similar woeful stories about this dealership, its sales [non-permissible content removed] and shady financial practices. And because Toyota continues to allow their name to be used as a front for this scam operation I will never buy a Toyota again.

Substandard Customer Service

by John on 08/04/2017

I had one of the worst car buying experiences I've ever had with this dealership. The salesperson was dismissive to the point of being rude, he was distracted, and the whole time I felt like I was wasting his time. I got the impression he just wanted to sell me a car and get me out of there so he could get to the next sale. He never sat down with me to find out what extras I wanted and the only time he checked in with me was to drop off paperwork for me to fill out. I will never do business with this dealership again. If I had the chance to do it over, I would have walked away and went to another dealership.

Worst experience ever

by Mlee43770 on 03/05/2017

The salesman, Jason santos was professional, nice and very helpful. We were working with him for a couple of days on a vehicle we liked. When we were in there today we started paperwork and started to talk numbers. While we were talking he left with what we said we would have liked to see as our monthly payments and came back with another sales person by the name of Luis (he never gave his last name). He came up and started talking to us to try and make a deal. The price was still not where we were comfortable at so I told him what I wanted and said he would try to get it as close to that as possible. He comes back with another price we aren't happy with so then he leaves and comes back with a lease option that's still too high for the vehicle. Then this is where Luis begins to get rude, he asks what price I want to be at so I tell him if I pay anything near what they offered me it would have to be on a 72 month finance with 0 down and he says we aren't talking about that we are talking about lease now, and told me why did I even bring up leasing if I don't want that. I never brought up leasing, Luis and the salesman did. And I told them I would lease if the payments were substantially lower than the finance payment. So I keep trying to explain to him what I wanted and Luis kept interrupting and telling me I should've never brought up leasing so I got up and told both of them thanks for their time but I'm gonna leave because Luis was being too pushy and wouldn't listen. He then tried asking what's wrong I'll see what I can do, but it was too late. So as me, my wife and child were leaving, Luis says to the salesman, it's ok they can't afford it anyway. Something you shouldn't say especially when the customer is still there. Well on the way to my vehicle I forgot they had my keys so I go in to get them and I hear Luis tell the sales manager Jason Laguna that we wanted too little for the car and Jason Laguna said its ok its too much vehicle for them anyway. The only person that was worth dealing with was Jason santos, the salesman. I honestly felt bad for him because he lost a sale because of two men who were unprofessional and because he can't control what they say. So overall worst experience ever at a dealership. No professionalism at all from the sales managers we dealt with. Just a tip to those who work sales like that, if you're going to talk about potential customers then do it when you close and customers aren't there. I will never do business at centennial Toyota and I will let my friends, family and coworkers know how rude and unprofessional these sales managers were and if they were going to purchase a Toyota to do it elsewhere because they will be treated with disrespect as I was.

Centennial Toyota/Tyler lavin

by Pdelgado on 12/15/2016

I am currently leasing my Toyota Prius C from Centennial Toyota and couldn't be any happier. Tyler Lavin, my salesman, is very accommodating! The day I got my Prius, he helped me by making sure if not all, most of the criteria was met. Every time I need help scheduling service, I just shoot him a text and it's flawless from there! I never have to wait long for my car after service and the whole staff in general is not only friendly, but very helpful. Centennial Toyota is quite a drive for me, but there exceptional customer service is worth the drive!

Internet Sales Customer Service

by momraisedlv on 12/03/2016

I don't usually write reviews but in the case it is much deserved and earned. As a single mother I always seem to be intimidated when purchasing a car. With that said I started out via internet to many different locations. I received calls back but mostly high pressure type of calls-except one. Tyler from Centennial Toyota had a very calm demeanor, he seemed concerned about my needs and my wants and also respected the price range I wanted to stay within. Almost immediately I felt a sense of comfort; mind you this is still over the phone. I agreed to an appt with him; where I was promptly greeted by a young man with manners. I did not feel like a "customer" but more like a friend or family. Tyler made the process effortless for me. It was a great pleasure to work with him and an even greater pleasure to see him (youth of today) being respectful to everyone he came in contact with and how much others seemed to believe in him and trust him just as I did. With that said all that touched my file or car from Tyler in Internet sales to the detailer that pulled my car around was amazing. I would recommend Centennial Toyota to anyone that needed/wanted a new or used vehicle. On a higher note I would recommend Tyler from internet sales to get that relationship started.

bad dealership avoid

by jkirk101756 on 10/18/2016

Centennial Toyota sold me a certified 2011 Tacoma. They promised to repair a dent, clean paint out of the bed and re-clean the carpet that was sticky. The original salesmen would not return my calls. I went to the dealership they assigned a different salesmen who was very rude and refused to honor the agreed upon repairs. This Salesman called me an INFIDEL apparently this is OK with Centennial Toyota they refused to discipline this salesmen. Avoid this dealership they will make false promises to sell you a car with not intention to keep their commitments.

Nearly $10k loss out of pocket cash

by Nunya1234 on 01/03/2016

Please take this review very seriously when considering buying a car from this place... they have cost me nearly $10k and offered me $900 as a trade in for a car they'd sold me only 2 months prior for $7500. I purchased a used Corolla on 10/22/15, the car had only 80k miles on it (roughly) for $7500 (tax&fees brought it up to well over $8k). On 12/23/15 the serpentine belt fell off which can be very dangerous when you are driving (you lose power steering). I took it to Findlay Toyota and was informed the bolt holding the belt had broken and was lost in the engine. I agreed to pay nearly $1k to have the work done, but when they completed it they informed me the engine was knocking and would need to be replaced. This would cost $4600. They advised me of the work Centennial had done and replacing this belt was one of them. This made me wonder if the reason it fell off was due to them not properly installing it. Findlay suggested I take it to Centennial and that if I'd purchased it from them they would help me out of this situation. I called Centennial 4x the following business day and got no return phone calls. The next morning I started calls again and spoke to a sales "manager" named Jason who showed zero empathy, handed me off to the service dept and I had to make an appt w them. When I checked in at 9am on Saturday they were under the impression I was going to pay for them to confirm the diagnosis. The service "manager" did not hear the knocking until I went to the car with him and pointed it out; at that time he agreed it was there. This confirmed it was overlooked when they initially "inspected" it. If I could vaguely hear it the day I drove it home then I can see how it was overlooked. With that being said, this car should have been taken back into their possession and money should have been refunded in full. That is the ethical and correct thing to do as a company. Needless to say that did not happen. Instead they offered me $900 toward a trade in. It gets worse, the sales boy (Ody, who had been there 2 months) offered me $2500 as a trade and they'd pay off my loan. Ody had no clue how an actual loan works which is really sad since he's attempting to sell them to customers. He kept telling me they were going to take care of my loan balance... when I met with finance (after 4 hours of waiting) I notice they loan was refinanced into this new loan and the trade in was listed as $900. Basically [non-permissible content removed] thought I was as dumb as them and would just look at my monthly payment and run. I asked to speak with a manager and here come Jason again. [non-permissible content removed] had already passed me off to Ody the moment service walked me into the sales room. How this loser managed to get "manager" added to his title speaks volumes as to how this place is run, very ignorantly. He told me he would increase it to $1400 and I can either take it or leave and take my car elsewhere. He was rude, unprofessional, and condescending (which is the all-time low coming from a car salesman, dressed as if he has an adult job). At any rate, I walked and I went to a Honda dealership, bought a brand new 2016 civic which I know won't die at 80k miles and from a respected dealership that has integrity. FYI for any of you that have had similar experiences with this awful business, please call Toyota directly to place your complaint; the number is 800-331-4331 One last thing to keep in mind, test it if you must, call the dealership, leave a message for someone, anyone and see if they call you back. Believe me you will want to work with a company that returns calls in case something does come up after you purchase. Check online reviews, you'll see they are known for not returning calls. Another thing to notice is the 30+ sales reps walking the parking lot, but they have only 4-5 finance employees which is why it takes 8 hours to even get out of this place. You will also notice each review will show a reply from the owner, this is an auto reply generated in order to appear as if they are handling the negative complaints, trust me, they are not.

GM will not abide by corporate Chrysler decision

by drmack48 on 12/24/2015

[non-permissible content removed]!!! The short of it: We bought a brand new car in 2014, that we co-signed for our son. Several months later, the car stopped running. Corporate Chrysler has taken 9 months to arrange a trade with the dealership. In the meantime, he is paying for the car payment AND the taxes on the rental car that Prestige put him in. Tonight we were finally supposed to get the car, but luckily, our son read everything before signing. They assured him that there would be an even trade with a $0 increase on his loan, then 15 minutes, tried to quickly get him to sign for a new car that cost much more. Prestige is trying to make extra money by hoping that because he is a young college student, that he isn't savvy to their ruthless business practices. Prestige Chrysler is NOT a good place to do business! We were sold a car that doesn't work and now we are asked to pay MORE than agreed upon! We are PENALIZED because we bought a Dodge DART!

What my family experienced yesterday 10/21/15

by icaneat on 10/22/2015

I wrote this letter after the experience we had purchasing 2 vehicles. We were fine with the salesman and interaction with other employees. This letter is specifically regarding the Finance Manager we had to work with last night. Letter of Complaint: Regarding Finance Manager Silvino Reyes Dear Centennial Toyota, I am writing to your company about the insulting and frustrating experience my husband, mother-in-law, and I had with the Finance Manager Silvino Reyes on October 20, 2015. We believe Mr. Reyes has either not had the correct training to deal with customers on a professional level, or he is allowed to continue his behavior as long as he produces “sales” of the extended warranty. It was Abundantly clear at that point that he cared solely for the sale of the extended warranty, and not for the well-being of his customers. I also saw another review on Yelp regarding Mr. Reyes, and the woman said she ended up purchasing a warranty but that she left his office shaking. That is how my husband and I felt, and I ended up crying with anger in the Centennial Toyota lobby because I could not believe Mr. Reyes was speaking to my mother and law and husband so unprofessionally and insultingly. If he cannot change his behavior, he should not be in a position where he will be speaking with customers on a daily basis. We waited patiently over an hour to speak with him after my mother in law agreed to purchase a new Camry XLE Hybrid. (The previous day, my husband and I also leased a brand new Sienna Limited Premium van). As he started explaining the extended warranty packages, Mr. Reyes became negative, rude, antagonistic, aggressive, and directed anger towards my husband through his words as well as body language and slamming paper around, etc. This angry behavior was all directed towards my husband simply because my husband did not feel that my mother in law needed to purchase the extended warranty at this time. He asked my husband multiple times “Are you going to pull out your checkbook and pay for her repairs then? Are you going to write an open check for all of her car repairs?” and my husband said, “Yes I will!”, and Mr. Reyes said “Yeah, right!” First of all, this is quite juvenile behavior. Second of all, sounds like Mr. Reyes is practically guaranteeing this car will need major repairs all the time, making it sound like he has no confidence in the vehicle. At that point, I let him know that his attitude was negative and it was pushing my mother in law and husband away from getting the extended warranty, and he got even more agitated but took out his pen and wrote aggressively and said “Fine! I’ll use my employee discount of $29/month” (for parts defects), and my husband and my mother in law did consider that and decided to get it. But because of his rude attitude, I still wanted to let him know that his attitude was not right, and he then accused my husband of being the “negative” one, and my husband said “I did want to hear what you had to say” and Mr. Reyes said “No you didn’t! No you didn’t!”, just because at first he didn’t want to purchase the warranty! On top of that, he started escalating the insults by saying that my husband is not a good son, and that we are not looking out for our mother. My mother in law is 76 years old, and after hearing the insults about my husband not taking care of her properly (just because we were not getting this warranty!), and she felt the need to start defending her own son to him! I got so upset that I said “Why should we have to defend ourselves to you? Why are you making my mother in law and husband feel like this?” And at that point, Mr. Reyes threatened us with “Fine, do you want me to take the extended warranty off? I can take it off right now!” People purchasing or not purchasing an Optional extended warranty has nothing to do with us needing to “defend” ourselves to a rude, aggressive and ignorant Finance Manager who is obviously angry that he could not make a sale (on an expensive extended warranty). I sincerely hope that insulting customers or bullying them to get any warranty, cheap or not, is not a behavior to be rewarded at Centennial Toyota. Customers want to feel that it is their choice to purchase something, not to be forced or bullied or insulted if they do not get it. If it is so “mandatory” to get an extended warranty because the car is not good and needs tons of repairs, then it should be built into the price of the car then. Optional means Optional. We will definitely be writing a review on the Centennial Toyota website and on Yelp regarding our horrific experience. We are kind, polite, nice people, and customers, and do not need to be insulted after doing a deal for TWO cars in the past two days! My sister in law might also be in the market to purchase a vehicle and we stand assured we will not be recommending Centennial Toyota because of Mr. Silvino Reyes terrible attitude and actions.

We got a 2015 toyota camry and we quickly realized the a/c wasnt working. We live in las vegas so we dont want to have a car with a/c issues so we asked if we could have another car because of that issue without us loosing money. Immediately they said yes no problem and sat us down with someone. Feeling it was too good to be true, as soon as we sat down I asked again we would only do this if there was no money lost. They said we could even get another car and would only pay the difference if it was more expensive so I asked again a 3rd time saying it sounded too good to be true and he assured me it was ok. We picked another car that was a tiny bit cheaper and when we got the break down of the monthly payments we were told something way higher than what we were going to pay for the camry, so when we asked why the manager came by and explained that we would lose the 10k down payment we made on the camry. i got upset and said thats not what we were told and that we just wasted our time (we were there from 530 till 9:15pm) and the manager Randy I believe said "no YOU are wasting our time now" I just answered we wouldnt have stayed if we wouldn't have been lied to 3 times! Randy the manager I believe was extremely rude and has horrible customer service. Dont buy a car here unless you are okay with being lied to and being told you are wasting their time because you are not agreeing to their terms..in our case losing 10k in a car that we didnt even have for 1 month.

Exceptional Service

by dayzgirllv on 07/28/2015

After several weeks of researching the best maker of vehicles for my lifestyle by visiting and experiencing other dealerships and sales people I was thrilled when I experienced a quick response from Slade Talbot to an email inquiry I submitted. Slade seemed to be professionally intuitive and while he followed up on my inquiry he did not hound me when I told him I couldn't get into the dealership right away. Once I was at the dealership he had the vehicle I was there to test drive at the front door before I even parked my car. Not only did he listen to what I needed in a vehicle but also paid attention to my comfort level behind the vehicles I test drove and provided me the information I needed to make an educated decision regarding the best vehicle for my needs. The entire team was awesome as well. I am so happy I chose your dealership to purchase my new vehicle.

Terrible Service- 1 star out of 5

I dropped my car off for scheduled maintenance and waited for 1 1/2 hours then one of the service reps comes in and says sorry I didnt check you in myself. I didnt know what he meant then I see my car sitting in the parking lot way off to the side and then i get an email that my service check up had been done over 1/2 hour ago. Toyota's service is sub par at best. Not good.

Would Not Make Another Referral

by Tlaine5 on 02/12/2015

It appears the Centennial Toyota namely Rich Grehza (not sure of spelling of last name). However, I referred someone to him and they purchased a car on 12/9/14. I did this on the premise that there is a $200 referral check to the referralee. Spoke to Rich 12/19/14. He said it takes a couple weeks. I asked him to please check to see if paperwork was submitted. On 1/14/15, still no check, text Rich again, asked him to get back to me. 1/15/15, Rich says he will submit paperwork for referrel check again and if I don't get it, "I will pay you myself. Sorry for the inconvenience"(his words). February 11, 2015 Spoke to Rich, says paperwork must have gotten lost and he will submit again on the next "big" deal he gets. WHAAAAATTTT!!!!!!!!!!! So this is how the referral works folks you get "bupkus""nada""not a thing" for referrals. I have another friend that wants to buy a car.....ask me if I will send him to Centinnial Toyota.

I have purchased 4 new vehicles from Centennial Toyota but have bought my last one. I traded in my 2013 Corolla for a 2014 Camry. My sales Mgr, Manny Floyd, put that I was putting $500 down and was asked about this in Finance, Elton, but told him I was not putting anything down. I had purchased a service agreement on my Corolla $1760.00 and called to cancel and get a refund. I was told that I would get the full refund since I only had my car for 18 months. He then said that Centennial had already called and cancelled the agreement and had already received the check $1760.00. I then went in to speak with my Mgr, Manny, and he went to speak with Elton in Finance and came out and said that Elton confirmed that I was not aware of them taking part of my refund. I had called and left messages for the GM but he never returned my call. I then spoke with Corp HQ and they would have someone contact me. Todd, the Customer Service Mgr called and said that he spoke with all involved and now they say that I was well aware of this payment coming out of refund. I am still waiting for my refund of $1260 even though they have had their money since 10/31/14. I will continue to use the Service Dept as Richard is the greatest and always takes care of my car and me. BEWARE THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY ANYWAY POSSIBLE. I don't believe that I would receive anything if I had not called to cancel my contract myself.
