We cannot recommend Bommarito Mazda of West County because of our recent terrible experience there. We purchased our car online from them. Although we did get a low price on the new Mazda that we purchased, it ultimately would have been better for us to pay a slightly higher price at a different dealership. Had we known then what we know now, we would have paid more at a different dealership! Upon arrival at the dealership to pick up our new car, our salesman kept disappearing and leaving us waiting. He seemed incapable of answering any questions about our new car. It was as though he were seeing this type of car for the first time. The owner's manual was missing from the car, as was the cargo cover (an added option to the car). We were promised that we would get the owner's manual as well as the cargo cover at a later date. We did successfully get the cargo cover, but they gave us an owner's manual that was not even the correct year of the car. Our major problem with this dealership, however, is that they sold us a damaged car. You would think that the dealership had to have willingly done this since they should have set requirements in place for cleaning and inspecting a new vehicle before it is delivered to the customer - did I mention that our damaged car was brand new! If the requirements were in place, wouldn't there have been a manual in the car, and a cargo cover, oh.. and wouldn't the brand new car be undamaged. Luckily the car was not dented, or badly damaged, but there was a spot on the rear painted bumper with paint off of it. Obviously the car had backed into something slowly, or someone had lightly hit the rear of the car. In any case, in order for the car to be properly fixed, it would have to have about $360.00 in repairs at a body shop ( the entire bumper needed to be taken off and repainted to correctly fix the problem, according to three different appraisals from body shops). Since we purchased the car four hours away, and it was a Saturday, and the dealership's collision repair shop was not open when we made our purchase, the dealership promised us that they would schedule us an appointment free of charge and take care of the damage if we left the car for a day. We were ok with this. Later, when we drove back 4 hours for our appt. to leave our car for the day to be repaired (they had told us it would only take a day). We were told that we could pick our car up in 2-3 days. This is a little difficult to do when we live four hours away and have to work! Then all of a sudden, they told us they could do it in one day. Although we voiced our concerns about a 2-3 day repair suddenly only taking 1 day, the dealership assured us that it would be done correctly. 9 hours later when we picked up our car, there were still some small paint chips in the bumper, and you could tell that they had just tried to touch up the paint versus fixing it the correct way. At this point we told them that we could not drive there again, and since they sold us a damaged car, they needed to pay the $360.00 to repair it the correct way where we live. When we left, our salesman told us that it looked like the dealership would be able to do this for us; however, the next day the dealership called us and told us that they would not do this, and we would have to make another 4 hour drive to their dealership for them to keep our car for 2-3 days. We've talked to almost everyone in the dealership, and no one will fix this problem for us. We even called the dealership's executive office - the first time we talked to the woman in the executive office, she sent us right back to our car salesman. The second time we called the executive office, she never returned our call after we left her a message - Shelley, it's been 3 weeks now, so if you're reading this we're still waiting for your call! Buy at this dealership at your own risk. The bottom line is that you may save a couple of hundred dollars, but it's not worth it
