I had the most pleasant and professional experience with the staff of Maplewood Toyota. Rick our salesperson was amazing, patient and knowledgeable. Sara the product specialist was wonderful too. I have always had a fantastic customer service experience with the staff at Maplewood Toyota. There is a reason our family has purchased eight cars from this dealership. I worked with Dave and he was awesome! He had the Ford Expedition Max ready for me when I arrived. Dave talked me through details about it, made sure I was comfortable and I took it for a test drive. He took the time to answer my questions, work through hesitations, and gave me a really good deal on a power train warranty too. I would highly recommend Dave and Maplewood Toyota for a great car buying experience.

Efficient, Fair Sale of Certified Used Prius

Fourteen years ago I bought a used hybrid Prius at the Maplewood MN Toyota dealership. It was the first car that actually got the mileage advertised. I loved it; it had good mileage and took little maintenance. Today I returned to this dealer having found a used Toyota Certified hybrid Prius online. I just wanted to purchase the car with as little hassle as possible. This was accomplished. The sales and finance staff were very professional and informative. There was no high pressure in this sale - that would have turned me off and I’d been out the door. I really appreciated the diversity in their staff. This too was a plus for me and lessened the stress of buying a car.

Things have become more complicated since we last bought a car. We began the search with the idea we would get something like we had but with fewer miles. We knew we wanted a Rav 4 because we liked the old one for its reliability and functionality. After looking through carfax and other online sites for weeks we grew more confused so we decided to go to a dealership and look at actual cars to see if that would help. After reading a few reviews we chose Maplewood Toyota because of the reviews and it was fairly close. We emailed Jamie Thao who invited us to come in at a specific time because of their Covid protocol. When we arrived at the location she introduced us to Jay Engler. As car buying has become complicated with all the various options available Jay patiently explained the pros and cons of various options leaving the decisions on which path to take at each turn to us. It seemed he would have taken all day if we needed to understand the variables involved. With Jay’s help we decided on a New Rav 4 Hybrid. Very different from the strictly gas powered used car we intended to buy when we started. Because we needed a car soon we could not wait months to have one built. Jay scoured the cars that were currently in transit and found one that was due to arrive the following week. When we picked it up Jay spent a couple hours explaining how everything works and processing the purchase. I should try not to use what sounds like a marketing slogan but this sums up the experience accurately; We didn’t end up with the car we thought we wanted, we ended up with the car we now know we actually wanted and we owe that to Jay Engler because we would not have gotten there without his help and time. In the future Jay and Maplewood will be our go to for cars. We felt comfortable there.

Very flexible when customer needs change

The service staff was very accommodating. I made an appointment to drop my vehicle off but ended up needing to wait for it as I'd lost my ride back home that evening. They were able to diagnose the issue quickly, discover other things that needed immediate attention, explain the options, and get me in and out in under 2 hours, despite having to squeeze me in when they'd had every reason to thing they were going to have all night to finish the job.

I am very impressed how the team at Maplewood Toyota worked for my business. I had previously leased a Tacoma from Jim Miller two years ago. At the closing of my lease Jim called me to discuss my options. After talking with Jim I decided to explore other makes and models to lease or purchase. At the end of my searching I came back to Jim and we worked out a great deal on exactly the vehicle I wanted for the price I wanted. All people I have had contact with at Maplewood Toyota have been very friendly and easy to talk to. I would recommend any friends and family to Andy and his team.
