Sold a truck from under me

I attempted to purchase a low miles Dodge pickup today. I contacted Harry Brown's dealership online last night and followed up with a phone call this morning. I talked with Halie and then was handed off to Sean. I offered to put down a deposit. I was told that was not necessary. He would have the car washed and the paperwork ready for me at 7 pm when my son and I would be arriving after a 4-hour drive from northern Minnesota. Just before 3 pm when we would be leaving our house, I get a call from the dealership informing me that someone would be arriving in 30 minutes to test drive the truck. I asked how that could be as I had already agreed to buy the truck and we were just leaving to come and get it. I was told that I would have to wait until after the 3 scheduled test drives scheduled for today. There was nothing scheduled when I called in earlier that morning. I spoke with two different managers who said there was nothing they could do. They said that they don't hold vehicles and it's first-come-first-served. I told him I wasn't coming to test drive the vehicle. I was coming to purchase the vehicle. He said I should have put down a deposit and a purchase agreement. I told him the sales guy said I was good. If I needed to fill out the paperwork, then send it over and I would fill it out right away and we would then hit the road. The manager declined. We went around a couple of more times with him claiming that I was coming to test drive and he wouldn't hold it. I corrected him each time saying that I was purchasing the vehicle and to get me the paperwork as necessary and I would be happy to prepay for the vehicle over the phone with a credit card or money transfer. He declined and said it would be whoever came there first and made the purchase. He asked if I wanted him to call me back if the folks' test driving decided not to purchase. I told him not to bother as I didn't want to do business with someone that conducted his business in this way. He offered no solutions to a mistake made by the sales staff. I would not recommend this dealership.

Dave Wilson was very friendly, knowledgable and we got good price for our car and the car we bought. Finance person was friendly and great to work with also. We got good prices on extra like extended warranty.

We have bought quite a few new cars over the years and have been very fortunate to have had good experiences in dealing with all the previous dealers. I'd have to say that Harry Brown's would rank at the top. Everyone we talked with went out of their way to make us feel right at home. They were honest and up from from the time we chose our Jeep to closing on the deal. We will for sure recommend to friends and family to check them out.

Great place to purchase a vehicle

My wife and I finally found a dealership that we found to be trustworthy, with no gimmicks, and no lies. The staff were very knowledgeable, friendly, and not pushy. We felt we received the best pricing on the vehicle we were looking for. The salesperson took what ever time necessary to make sure we understood every aspect of the features offered and what everything would cost. On the day we took possession of our new vehicle the paperwork process went smoothly. Our sales person made sure we understood all features of our new vehicle. We have had bad experiences at other dealerships in the past which left us feeling we would never do business with them again. When we left Harry Brown's in Faribault MN we had a great feeling of customer satisfaction knowing we found a dealership that we could recommend to others. We found the pricing in this dealership's service department to be much better than the last dealership we did business with.

My truck's engine blew on a Monday and I was without a vehicle and suddenly in a position to look for a vehicle. A friend recommended Harry Browns. I went on-line Tuesday night and applied for financing. Scott P called me Wednesday morning, he listened to what wanted and selected the perfect vehicle. I had a rental vehicle from a service shop at that time. Scott P. really took care of me, I had my new vehicle that afternoon and the whole process wrapped up by Thursday night. This was the best car buying experience I have ever had. There was no pressure from Scott P. during the sales process and the financing was a breeze, no pressure from Kiki to purchase anything more than I wanted. They both did a very thorough job explaining everything and made sure I had all my questions answered. I will definitely recommend Harry Browns to anyone I know of that is looking for a vehicle. 2008 Used GMC Pick up

We drove an hour each way to look and possible make the deal. We got a fair price on the GMC we bought, and received a fairly reasonable amount for our trade-in. Our sales person (Carson Hruby) was very friendly, very polite and answered all of our questions. He and the finance team also had great personal follow up on any concerns that we had. Overall we had a very good experience at Harry Brown's Family Automotive and we would return in the future.

We have purchased several vehicles including the last one from Harry Brown's and would strongly recommend them and our excellent sales person (Mike Hruby) if you plan on purchasing a new or used vehicle. Mike H. is very helpful and knowledgeable about vehicles he sells. The rest of their staff is also very helpful and work hard to make the buying experience a good one. They also have a very nice customer waiting area with coffee, cookies and pop corn. Their service is very customer oriented and helpful. I would recommend Harry Brown's for all of your automotive needs.

I worked with Scott P on a deal for a new truck. Extremely easy to work with, fair on the trade in value of my current vehicle and Kiki in finance worked just as hard to get my payment where I wanted it, but making sure I was aware of all the options I had. Highly recommend this dealership.

I was in the market for a new Suburban and had stopped at two other dealers to price and test-drive. I stopped in to see if they had the vehicle that I was looking for and met with Randy Beltran. He was very easy to work with, high-service oriented and low pressure...he worked hard to find me a vehicle and worked hard to get the deal done.
