Henkel was a nightmare

Dealership unable to deliver vehicle by promised date. Henkel promised to deliver vehicle to my house
by Christmas. This was my son's present. Henkel included the delivery charge on their invoice and they
promised to make all arrangements to have vehicle deliverd to my home. The $700 delivery charge was
paid to Henkel. They could not find someone to deliver the vehicle and had to refund the delivery
charge to me. That began the nightmare with these people. We eventually had to take a train to
Pennsyvania to meet the vehicle and then drive it home to NY.
The Internet Manager Ross W. promised that in addition to an included 3 month In house warranty
they would talk to the dealership in NY and pay for any repairs discovered after delivery. The repairs
would be done by my local Chrysler dealership and it would not be necessary to drive the vehicle back to
Michigan to make any repairs. This assurance was witnessed by another individual on the phone.
After delivery, the inspection by my local Dodge Chrsyler dealership discovered the vehicle needed new
tie rods and could not pass the New York State Safty Inspection. Also the brake rotors were pitted and
needed to be replaced and a rear brake seal had a leak. As a result of replacing the tie rods the vehivle
also needed a wheel allignment. The owner Dan H. accused the NY Chrysler dealership of over
pricing and the service manager Jeffrey S. accused them of not knowing what they are doing.
The vehicle was not able to pass the NY State Safty inspection because of the Tie Rod issue. The owner
Dan H. said he isn't going to pay for any repairs even after I offered to take it to another mechanic.
He said he wouldn't pay for any repairs even if I took it to 4 other mechanics and that I was trying to
turn the vehicle into a perfect vehicle at his expense even though he knew the vehicle wasn't passing
the State inspection. Service manager said the brakes were at 70% and that the tie rods were replaced
in 2010. He mentioned nothing about the pitting brake rotors, and leaking brake seal. He did
acknoledged that tie rods could be ruined at any moment by pot holes and bad roads. How well did
they check the vehicle before reselling it? The truck arrived without one of it's keys. They eventually
ordered a replacement cylinder for the lock that I'm going to have to replace myself.
Vehicle paid for by bank check.
