Friendliest employees and best service ever!

The employees at Country Hyundai are the friendliest and most efficient people I have ever encountered. At 73, I have had quite a few cars and these people amaze me with their offers to help, great dispositions, and at checking out things in detail beyond what I went there for. I feel my car is totally protected, therefore so am I. Though there are many people going in and out, my car has always been able to be seen within a few days. They answer the phone after a few rings, and are always upbeat and and attentive, even just when answering questions. I've really never encountered this to this magnitude anywhere else. I have owned my car for two years now.

Great customer service

Vasilios did a great job! He’s very knowledgeable, engaging, professional and great attitude. He was very attentive to customers needs and worked tirelessly at trying to keep things moving. He explained all that needed to be done and charges. I’m giving 4 stars because the waiting time was longer than I was told. Overall, Country Hyundai is a great place to get service and I will return.

Tucson lover

We were on the verge of a deal with one of their salesmen. He went to "talk to his manager," and the manager came over, literally baring his teeth at us in a sneer, to invalidate what the salesman had said and tell us he couldn't take even 5 dollars off the list price of the used vehicle we were in the middle of bargaining for, and were within $500 of buying. Later we thought that for whatever reason he was trying to belittle/undermine the salesman. He was so aggressive and obnoxious we left. We just couldn’t buy a car from him.

Friendly and hassle free

service for my Hyundai Tucson was easily scheduled and carried out without any issues. I was greeted at the door and made feel very comfortable. I was given a full description of all that was taken care of. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and welcoming. Waiting area was clean and comfortable.

Good sales team!

Justin started our sale before handing off to Rodd. Justin took a lot of time with us, really listening to my wife and making her feel like she was really being listened too, a first for all the dealerships we have visited over the years. Justin showed us the best vehicle for us and then showed how leasing could serve us well! Rodd took care of the paperwork and helped clean out our trade in. Chris and Omar were friendly, efficient, and professional.Great customer service!

Wonderful Car Buying experience!

We traveled an hour and a half from CT to buy our 2019 Kona EV from Tim Kent at Country. Tim was great to work with by phone. He matched an out of state price with no hidden charges (a local Branford dealer pulled a financial bait and switch on us). We put a deposit down over the phone. Even though the dealership was having a very busy incentive day today, Tim couldn't have been nicer or more gracious, organizing the purchase steps efficiently and pleasantly. Chris, the manager, couldn't have been nicer, as was Amber, the post-sales bells-and-whistles instructor. The car is going to be registered for us down in CT and driven to our home at no extra charge. This is wonderful service and Well Worth the Drive! Thanks, Country Hyundai!

From the first time i talked with a young lady on the internet about the car they were great no fluff i asked for the best price and they gave it to me straight the exact price and that made me want to go in and sit with someone to see if we could get the deal done Which is were i met Jason he was outstanding and we did the start of the paper work with him and he put the financing together for us and then handed us off to Luis who was great and they were all easy to talk to no high pressure sales and went above and beyond to help me buy a car for my Mom they even delivered the car to our house which was about 1 hour away and again i cant say thank you Enough i will defiantly be buying my next car from them .

Comfortable, Easy, Stress Free Purchase!

Tim Kent worked hard with my family over the course of a few weeks as we deliberated and test drove numerous vehicles trying to find something comfortable. He was always ready and expecting us when we had free time to swing through. With two young kids under 5 buying our first new family vehicle could have been potentially stressful, but he made us feel relaxed, let us ask our questions and offered very low pressure and respectful guidance throughout the process. We ended up walking away with a 2015 Rogue with a price tag that couldn't be beat and our family is very satisfied. We would likely work with Tim again based on his bright attitude, attention to care, and willing transparency. Country Hyundai was not the only dealership we visited, but because of Tim we kept finding ourselves back there. Now, we are glad we did.

Bill McHugh

Mr.McHugh was a very good sales person he did not pressure me into a purchase he was knowledge about the car that i was inquiring about and made sure I was informed on the different payment option meaning how much my payments would be with no money down up to 5000 down so that I felt comfortable with my monthly payments. I would recommend Mr. McHugh and this dealership to my friends and family as they do not pressure you but make sure that you are secure in your decision to purchase from them.

Terrible customer service

Do not go here. They wasted over an hour of our lives giving us the runaround and wouldn’t even talk the same numbers. At first they tried to get down to a good price for us by counting our down payment even though I was trying to discuss the sales price. Then they try to convince me they’re giving me the best price they can by showing me the sales invoice and saying this is what we paid for the car so I can’t go much lower or I don’t get paid. They I said what about holdback and he lied about the holdback number. When I first went in I told them this was the first dealership we were visiting and we were just trying to collect information but they kept being super pushy and tried not to get me to leave. When I was finally like can I just have this all written and if it’s really lower than other dealerships like you say I’ll come back they said they don’t give anything written. The best they would give me was a piece of lined paper that the salesman had written the number on, I didn’t take it. To top it off they acted like we were stupid the entire time and had no clue what we were talking about. I wouldn’t have bought a car from them even if they had come in with the lowest prices(they didn’t even come close). Go to Gary Rome Hyundai in Holyoke. They are so much more respectful and won’t waste your time. They were willing to have a straightforward no nonsense discussion with me and give us a number much closer to what we were trying to get to.

Unprofessional and Slow.

Let me start off by saying that I am 25 years old, and have 2 part time jobs. I work everyday from 10:30am, until 9:30pm between both jobs. My car is registered and insured entirely under my name, and no one elses. I recently had my car (a 2011 Hyundai Accent) brought to Country Hyundai, located at 347 King Street in Northampton, Massachusetts. My car was towed their on Monday, September 25th. My father and I were told we would be called the next day (being Tuesday), and given a list of parts the car needed and an estimate for a cost on fixing my car. By Thursday, my dad had called and contacted them, and was given no further information. Friday, I contacted them. Was put on hold several times, and hung up on. Finally, calling back again I got to speak with Tom, the service technician. I asked him for further information about my car. I was told he had a list of parts and an estimate ready, and was about to call my dad and tell him. I asked what the parts were, and the estimate. He insisted that he was not allowed to tell me, because my father was listed as the main contact. Mind you, this car belongs solely to me. It is registered and insured completely under my name. I explained this to him, and still given no information. I thanked him for his time, and hung up. By Saturday, my dad was still never contacted or given an estimate. Several times, we were told we would be contacted. Not once did an employee reach out to us to let us know what the status of my car was. Monday October 2, my father called the dealership again. Tom again said that he did not get a chance to look at my car, and still could not give him an estimate for the cost. I missed a whole week of work due to the fact of my car not being fixed, and your employees offering us no other options or letting us know the status of my car. It was brought to my attention by a friend, who works at Gary Rome Hyundai in Holyoke that I should have been offered a rental car or a shuttle service so I would not have had to miss that much time from work. Neither my father or I were told about any services that Country Hyundai offers. My car has been on their premises for 9 days. I have missed work this whole time. Within this 9 day time period, no one called to let me know the status of my car, or even looked at my car. I find this very unprofessional the way this was handled. No one called or contacted me to let me know if my car had been looked at, or when it was going to be fixed. My car has just been sitting on their premises for 9 days with absolutely nothing being done to it. I missed a whole week of work due to the fact none of your employees looked at my car or contacted me. Please let it be know that today is Tuesday, October 3rd and my car still has not been fixed. And still no one has contacted us to let us know what is going on. I had high hopes for this dealership, and was expecting a quick and thorough examination of my car, and to be contacted promptly. Unfortunately, none of these things happened.

Lies lies and more lies

Well I don't know were to start first I was approved no money down talked with Jason in sales for a week to make sure there was no hidden surprises,cause they are an hour and half away ok well that was a lie drove there thinking I'm signing papers and no now I need a thousand down. So supposedly this was a miss understanding ok so I play along he says get a car to trade in and well count that as the thousand. Ok I do that now keep in mind I was told I was approved so her we are now he tells me well your credit score has dropped I say what do you mean well it's different from when we ran it before I said cause you guys ran it so many times and I thought I was already approved. Now this were all communication has stopped he will not answer my emails no more and further more I never authorized them to keep running my credit I have 10 denial letters on my counter from them I'm sure with more coming and he won't even respond to me real nice. Yeah they donate to everything to make them self look good and [non-permissible content removed] on the good people when no one's looking. Don't believe me look up the Tommy group and you'll find that they have had some trouble before and after reading the bad reviews I've seen it all kinda makes sense. Do yourself a favor do some research.

Waste of 3 days

Let me start by saying that I am a young, 24 year old woman, and this was my first real experience buying a car. I made it very clear from the start that I would be taking out a loan and putting $2000 down, and with everything included, I did not wish to pay more than $9,000 total (sales tax, and any fees included, that was the final price I would pay). Being a recent graduate beginning to pay off student loans, and with all of life other expenses, I had come up with a number that I felt was reasonable. I had seen one car on their website that seemed like it would be in my price range after all other fees and taxes, but when driving the car I could hear a rattling noise, which was slightly concerning to me. I was assured by the salesman that it would be fixed, but I still wanted to look at other cars. When we went back to the desk, he did a quick search of other cars to show me, and when I asked the price of the car I was going to test drive he said he "honestly wasn't sure." I said a couple times that I "didn't want to be put in a car that was out of my price range," and we went for a drive. The car was great, and when we got back to the computer I had to ask again what the price was. It was roughly $12,300 before any taxes or fees. At this point I was bummed out, and 3 hours had gone by (and only 2 test drives) so I told him I would have to come back the next day. When I got back the next day, the negotiations had began on the car that I had liked because they knew I had enjoyed that car. I was told that they were willing to make a deal for $11,000. I asked multiple times if that $11,000 was the total after taxes and fees price. I was told yes multiple times. The manager (the gentleman who was called over in a bright red vest) came over a couple times pushing me to commit to buying this car by the end of the month (in 4 days). I work 40-50 hours a week, in Vermont, so I said I wasn't sure if I could do that, but if they were willing to make a deal I might be able to switch my schedule around. The man in the red vest then said well we can do $10,600 and then walked away. I do not think he had even realized that 2 hours before be had said $11,000 was the price they could do. I turned to my salesman and said did he just say $10,600 and he said "yeah, I guess we are doing $10,600." I then said back to my salesman "$10,600 for everything? Taxes and fees included" and he said "Yeah, thats what he said, and he is the manager!"I even had the salesman write that price down so that I had a copy of it. Even though it was more than I was looking to pay originally, I spoke with the bank and figured everything out. A couple days later (trying to help them complete the sale by the end of February) I took an extra day off from work, drove down from VT, and met with my salesman. I brought the $2,000 down payment and was just trying to get the buyers agreement for the bank. The manager came out, plopped it on the salesman desk and showed me where to sign without saying barely anything to me (mind you this is the same manager that had said $10,600 the previous day). I looked at the paper and it was nearly $2,000 more than we had agreed on. The manager then, as he was walking away said that I didn't understand what he had said the other day and that he never said $10,600. When I asked the salesman if that is what he remember the manager saying, he said that the manager HAD said $10,600 the other day. They then got another manager, because the man in the red vest didn't want to take the time to have a conversation with me, tried to talk to me in a very condescending way, to explain why I "was probably confused." I explained how I had explicitly asked many times if that was the total price with taxes and everything." I gave feedback on how their communication needs to be better if even their salesman thought the deal was $10,600 with everything. His response was that he "wasn't going to take a $2,000 loss." My response was "I am not even thinking about giving you business anymore even if you were going to change the price, I am trying to give you feedback so that you don't waste other customers time." I then told them I wanted to get my deposit back ($100 to hold the car) and I was told they would have to cut me a check (because I had paid cash), which they couldn't do right then. The next day when the check was picked up, I tried to cash it and it was denied because they had written the check to my first and middle name and not my first and last name. Another check had to be cut, and no apology was made. The salesman apologized to me after the situation and attempted to smooth things over, which was appreciated but not enough to fix the situation (he was really not at fault in this situation, as he is a new employee and it is his managers job to communicate clearly to his employees so they can communicate clearly to the customer.) So after 3 days of wasted time, and over $100 of gas money, I am back to square 1.
