HORRIBLE MANAGER

by JAM1884 on 07/16/2017

Horrible car buying experience!! As soon as you buy the car their whole demeanor changes especially the managers. Asking for one thing to be done for the car Daniel Smith yells "Stop washing the car, put the stickers back on and park it back on the lot." My salesman Nicholas Teye did everything that he could to help me through my experience but the manager does not have your best interest.

Lack Integrity

by 01autobuyer on 10/15/2015

First... They did not honor their advertised internet price, charging an addition $790 over that price. Secondly, they did not inform me of the missing remotes and only having one key. Yet the vehicle was advertised with "Remote Start" and "Keyless Entry". Without the remotes, these features are useless and just as well not be installed. Then, after intense negotiation , they agreed to pay for one remote and the second key, plus the programming. All I had to do is go to a dealer of the make and procure them, and their programming, bring them the receipt, for with I would be reimbursed. However, in the end, this was not true...even after I did it all less than their estimated price, $21 less...it may seem trivial, but they shorted me approximately $28 of my out of pocket cost. At first it was $58, then I pushed the issue until they gave me $20 more. I'm suggest that you micro review everything, more so, if the vehicle is even equipped as advertised. Too, don't get reeled in trough false internet pricing. Do research for competitive pricing... If I had to do it again, I would go on down the road to one of their competitors, for I look of some integrity in dealing, not total deception. In closing, I was contacted by by customer relations, assuring that they would do a review and get back to me.... Ha! Just another one of their dishonesty moves. I'm sure they are glad our business is concluded. Edmunds.com is a excellent service... It's on those dealerships that lack integrity you have to be cautious of.

I love my Jeep

by girlygirl8 on 10/11/2013

Came to the dealership looking for a 2014 Grand cherokee. My demands were very simple. There were only a couple of feature that I needed and my sale person Malcom was able to show me exactly the truck I was looking for. I fell in love with it instantly because he was able to describe and demonstrate most of the features. He did his best to respect my time and the process was pretty painless. Everyone was very friendly and helpful though the manager seems kind of annoyed with my request for negotiation. I still drove away satisfiewd because Malcom made sure I didnt leave before knowing how to fully operate my Jeep. He was great after a previous bad experience with Darcars, he showed that there are still some good professionals left in the car business.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER FROM A DEALERSHIP

by rotorwng1 on 07/11/2010

DARCARS of New Carrolton did nothing but try to rip me off. I went to see a PT cruiser. The internet price was 7,777.00. When I got there, they said that the car I wanted to see was already being purchased by someone else. They then offered me an almost identical car, one year newer and 10K miles less for the exact same price. After test driving the vehicle, I asked for a military discount or if they could come off the price a few hundred dollars. The MANAGER came over to me and told me that they could not do anything better on this deal. I was ok with the price as it was an had my checkbook out and was ready to write the check. The salesperson came over to me and said that the MANAGER wanted me to look at another car. I was like, "no thank you, I'm buying this one." What was going on was.... The deal for the first car I wanted to buy was falling through with the other customer. They then wanted me to buy the older car now with more miles on it for the same price that they offered the newer car with less miles. I went to the manager directly and told him no way, I want the car that they offered. They said that they NEVER offered the car at the price that I was quoted. REDICULOUS. I test drove it, was offered it in writing and then they tried to switch me to a beater car. Are they serious? YES they were.. The worst part was that they were calling me a liar. I'M AN OFFICER IN THE UNITED STATES ARMY. Offended? YES absolutely. They not only lied about selling me the car that they had me test drive, they then wanted to make even more money off of me by buing a piece of junk. They retracted the offer for the newer car and left me with no option but to walk out. They are skeezy, shady, whatever you want to call it. I know that I don't do business with people of no integrity. You shouldn't either.
