Bad Cliche'

Disgusting, unethical, [non-permissible content removed]. Not even smart enough to be good at it. They are they caricatures of shady car salesmen that you see in bad movies. You don't believe that these people actually exist, but they do. Make no mistake [non-permissible content removed] will try to steal from you as if they had actually broken into you home. NEVER CONSIDER DOING BUISNESS WITH THEM. Let me say first that I am a return customer who purchased a car from Antwerpen Hyundai Clarksville in 2012. I visited Antwerpen Hyundai Clarksville on Saturday 9/11/2021 to test drive a 2021 Hyundai Sonata. I explained that I was looking to do a cash purchase and that my financing was already in place. I had done quite a bit of internet research on this dealership's website as well as making in person visits to the lot during the previous week and again on the day of the test drive. I was very careful in documenting the VIN numbers and the costs displayed on the stickers as well as on the web site information and costs for several vehicles. I asked specifically why then sticker price online was higher than the advertised "Jack Says YES" prices on their website. I was told that the "Jack says YES" prices would have to include all of the dealer incentives for being a first responder, first time college student and active military personnel discounts. I asked how someone could possibly be all three of those things at the same time but was only met with blank stares and stammers and was never given a straight answer. My wife and I test drove a used 2021 Sonata demo car with several hundred miles on it. The car was filthy on the interior, there was some type of crud on the steering wheel and the interior of the windows were so covered with dirt and film, that I believed someone must be smoking in it. The car also had at least one very noticeable paint chip in the hood. The salesperson apologized for the condition of the vehicle and advised that his manager had been using the car for personal use and as a test demo. We completed the test drive and came back to talk about the price. To our surprise the salesperson ran the costs on the used demo that we had just driven. The total price was $31,974.24 included a $1295.00 option for aftermarket paint and fabric protection that we did not want nor did we request. When I asked why this option was added without our request , I was told "Oh yes, we just always add that to every sale we do here" I asked if he really expected me to buy this used/damaged demo as if it were a new vehicle. Once again I was met with blank stares and stammers and was told “yes”. I did not appreciate my experience on the showroom floor, so I thanked him for his time, took a picture of the sales sheet which included the vehicle cost and VIN number and left. There is an option to purchase the car online through Antwerpen Clarksville Hyundai Website. Around midnight that same night, I decided to go online and see if I could purchase the vehicle myself. I observed that you are required to click the 'purchase online' button, in order to be able to see the full window sticker with the pricing and VIN numbers. I did that and carefully checked several vehicles. I wanted to be sure that I was not attempting to purchase the used/damaged demo that I had driven the day before. That vehicle had a VIN# that ended with 8101. I began the purchase process for a different 2021 Sonata SEL with VIN number ending with 0759. I had physically viewed this vehicle in person on 09/11/2021 prior to the test drive. I specifically showed it to my wife and told her that this was this was the car I was interested in. I pointed out that it still had the shrink wrap and packing protection foam on the body panels, and that interior was still covered in plastic. I was given a final cost for this specific vehicle of $29,776. I checked the fine print to verify that this included dealer incentives, dealer fees, freight destination charges, DOC fees, tax, tag and title fees. I completed the transaction and received a notification that this price was valid through 09/18/2021. I decided to go to bed and to upload my photo ID, Proof of Insurance and Proof of Identity the next day. I also received text messages confirming the process. The next day I received a call from the salesperson I spoke to on the previous day. I told him that working with him "left a very bad taste in my mouth" and that I was not interested in dealing with him any longer. He made the excuse that the manager set the price on the previous day and that he had no control over that. He went on to say that they saw I had begun the purchase of the second vehicle the previous night and asked if I could come to the dealership to complete the process @ 1:30 pm on 09/12/2021. I reluctantly agreed and my wife and I drove to the dealership. I got there, sat down and immediately was told that the vehicle I had requested to purchase was the same vehicle that we had driven the day before. I said it absolutely was not. I explained that I knew exactly which VIN belonged to each vehicle, and that my purchase was for the Sonata with VIN# ending in 0759. Without checking or discussing with anyone else he immediately switched gears and said “well then there is a problem. That vehicle is not here. My manager took that car for personal use”. I replied “are you trying to tell me that that I saw this car yesterday, I put in a purchase agreement for it last night and somehow between 10:00 am and 1:30 pm the same manager who was driving the other demo, came into the dealership, didn’t check to see if there was a pending sale on the car, removed all the shipping protection from it and then immediately left the lot, essentially turning almost all of their 2021 new stock of new vehicles into used vehicles”. He said Yes. I got up and said I was leaving. He then said, my manager can knock $1000.00 off the price of the second car for a total price of price of $31,800.00, but only if I financed through them. I then spoke to the manager and said if I was not going to be given the price that I was presented for the online purchase I was leaving. He said “there is no way I’ll sell you the car for that price”, I became angry and the conversation degenerated to becoming vulgar so I left. This was a disgusting experience! The blatant lies, bait and switch, attempts at high pressure financing demands and unwanted add on products/fees, would be laughable if it weren’t true. If I were to write an online review it would say

The sales representative [non-permissible content removed].

On 27th December 2017, I went to Hyundai Clarksville with the aim of purchasing a car. After test-driving a Used black Hyundai Elantra 2015, I sat with the sales team to discuss financing options and proceed with buying. They told me my credit was bad that it was difficult finding a lender to finance the car , that the option I have is to buy a brand new car. I accepted that option so they brought out a black Hyundai 2018 with exactly the same features as the one I test-drove . VIN- KMHD84LFXJU489384. After waiting for about an hour, one of the representative came back to me to tell me they found a lender( Exeter Finance) with the following Loan terms.- $521 monthly payments for 72 months at 21.5% interest rate, down payment $500. I rejected the offer and told them the interest rate is to high, unacceptable to me. I let them know I won't be buying the car on such loan terms. So I walked out of the facility and went into my car. As I was about to leave the facility, one of the sales representative came out to meet me at my car and told me they have a new deal for me and I should return to the office to discuss the new deal. I returned to the office to ask about the deal. He said if I can make 6 on-time payments , I should bring the car back to get a lower rate (refinance). I asked where should I bring the car, he said "bring it to this facility after 6 on-time payments ". I called my wife to let her know about the deal, she insists I should not sign the contract. She was skeptical. She demands to speak with the representative and he told my wife the same thing. My wife told him to put it on paper that I should bring the car back in six months for refinancing. He said there's no need for that because it's a standard practice. My wife told me not to listen to him, but I took him for his word and accept to sign the contract. After making 6 on-time payment, I took the car back to the dealership, I met with the sales Manager Jonny Park to let him know I brought the car to have it refinanced. He told me it was a lie that they don't do such and apologized for being lied to. He said those representatives have been laid off. But I have been lured into signing a loan on false information, I would not have sign if I know the real truth. I don't know how many people they have done this to or if I'm the only one. This is not acceptable. This is a bad business practice and should not be allowed to happen to other future buyers. Say things the way it is. If you can't help someone with a bad credit get a car they can afford, say so, don't deceive them into signing a high interest rate loan with false promises just because you want to sell a car.

She responded to every email promptly, was knowledgeable about the vehicles and options, provided helpful suggestions, and was available to meet our busy schedules. She was friendly and made it fun to talk too, and still had our sale was handled in a professional manner. We stay loyal to purchasing cars from Antwerpen Hyundai of Clarksville. The team here is amazing. Not only did Jessica let us come by the dealership at 8:00pm with the car i was looking at pulled up and ready to go, she stayed until 10:00pm to make sure that i had everything i needed after i signed the papers. Oliver, their finance guy is awesome too. Very helpful and forthcoming. No scams, very straightforward, and they are also friendly and funny!

An Excellent Sales Experience

I recently totaled my Impala and was in the market for another one. I went online to Auto Trader and found the one I wanted. I contacted Antwerpen, and was lucky enough to be connected to Jessica Mitchell. The car I had selected was a used car, so she could not hold it for me. It seemed like it took my insurance company forever to do the paperwork to total my car, but in the meantime Jessica kept me up to date and let me know that no one had purchased my selected car. When the day came for us to go and purchase the car, she had everything ready and we worked out a great deal that we were very happy with. Jessica is an exceptional sales person who handled our sale professionally and we left feeling very fortunate to have had her as our sales person. You should be proud and honored to have Jessica as part of the Antwerpen Sales team. We had never purchased a car from your dealership, but will do so in the future and Jessica will be our sales person, for sure. Very Poor Service

I've had issue after issue with this dealership. I've had my vehicle for almost 5 weeks and have yet to receive my tags. I contacted the MVA who stated they were released over 3 weeks ago. No one from the dealership will call me back and I've called multiple times.

Timely help

So grateful for Enrique​ Algarin, the sales consultant who helped me choose a new 2016 Sonata yesterday. He was kind, patient, knowledgeable. He listened carefully to my questions and was good at remembered my concerns. My only complaint about the experience was how long it took to finish all the paperwork for financing, but then again I came in at the end of the day and they were having a very busy day. Good sign of a successful business! Thanks Enrique.

Superb Service

I came in on Monday night to talk to Marcus after months of being told to do so. I wasn't familiar with the car buying process. I just wanted to look around and "see what they can do for me" Marcus was great! Every single question I had for him he answered. Showed me around the lot and we looked at some pretty cool cars. Not pushy or anything! I accepted the offer for a NEW Veloster! The process was very easy and the staff there was great!!

Went to Antwerpen Hyundai looking for a used Santa Fe. Told them exactly how much we had to spend when we walked in the door. Had to go twice just to get a test drive. Found the vehicle we wanted in our price range and settled down to do the paper work. After 6 hours of at the dealership they came back with a sales contract that was $2000 over our budget because of "dealer processing fees". When we told them that, they kept insisting we "get more money". We ended up buying at Fitzgerald Hyundai, which was WONDERFUL!

Unprofessional, disrespectful, high-pressure

Stay away. This dealership is absurd. These salespeople are disgustingly unprofessional and will pressure you like no other. Some will even try to guilt you into buying a car fast while they are working so that they get the commission, and not someone else. I even asked one of them if they have a return or exchange policy and he replied "We don't even think about returns. That's the last thing we want to think about, because we get paid for the sale and that would take it off our checks." As if I give a damn about their paychecks. What [non-permissible content removed] car salesperson would have the audacity to say that. Also, the internet prices are scams. They have a 1K "reconditioning fee" among others. Pathetic ethics. They pressured me into buying a car that I am now stuck with, don't let them do the same to you.

Misleading ad. Sale demo as new car on full price.

Worst dealership I have been. Not honest people. Ad use to lure customer in. Don't list all incentive and then add back because you not qualify. Bottom price same as all dealers around the area and they make you think they give you a great deal. Make sure to ask the odometer reading on the car. They try to past a demo car as new. Never mention that it is a demo car until someone slip, Stay away from Neville.

The "Professional's"

My experience at the Hyundai dealership in Clarksville was a great one due largely on the part of Mr.Tom Blackmon. Mr. Blackmon wasn't pushy but honest and very knowledgeable. You don't find salesman like that everywhere. He truly is a great asset to this company and should I ever be in need of another vehicle I will be in contact with him.

Great place to go

They were very professional with my car purchase. Everyone was very tentative and meet my needs and expectations to the fullest. Al Russell was my sales person and answered all questions about the car. The sales manager Neville did an amazing job finding the right vehicle for me. I even had the chance to talk to the G.M Don Nelson and he came in and answered all my questions. I love my new Genesis. The finance manager Mike Thomas showed me some great options and was quick and efficient with my paperwork. Overall they know how to treat people and i would recommend them to anyone.

TOTAL SCAM ON INTERNET PRICE PUBLISHED

Internet price not only included standard taxes tags and document fees, but also a prep fee of over 3k ... Stay away from this dealer ..... Advertise your price dont hide it.... They didnt even itemize the sale Price with the added fees ....On the contract Live and learn ...Never again ... I would not even give them 1 star for this find of sales tactics that they have been do
