Great Experience during purchase of Excellent vehicle.

The sales staff at Gerry Lane were extremely courteous and overly accommodating. My wife had a specific vehicle which she was interested in buying. The staff took the time to locate the exact vehicle which she had been looking for and made delivery of the vehicle after having it transported in from out of town the same day of our visit to the Gerry Lane lot. She had been searching for a mid size SUV and couldn't decide between five different makes of vehicles and finally decided on the GMC Acadia Denali after the excellent service offered during the presentation of the vehicle and because of the service offers of the vehicle after the sale, which was only offered by Gerry Lane. All of our recommendations will be for anyone needing a new vehicle to go to Gerry Lane. They will not regret their decision to purchase from Gerry Lane if they do!

Engine Service Dash Light

I brought my 2013 GMC Sierre 2500 Diesel 4X4 to Gerry Lane GMC in Baton Rouge because it had the 'Service Engine' code light on the dash. I do not like to ignore these things, and called the dealership to make an appointment to have the vehicle checked out. My appointment was made, I brought the truck in and dropped it off for service on January 31, 2017, and within a half-hour their concierge driver gave me a much-appreciated lift home. Later that day my service advisor, Kevin Dartez, called to let me know the diesel exhaust fluid heater was weak, and it would be replaced under the diesel engine warranty. Since the truck has 78,000 miles on it, I told Mr. Dartez to go ahead and have the entire drive train inspected and serviced, including front and rear axles, the transfer case, and the transmission. The DEF system was repaired, all services on the drivetrain were performed, giving me great peace of mind that everything was in proper working order and all fluids had been replaced or treated, and the truck was ready to go the next evening. I picked the truck up and had another pleasant conversation with Mr. Dartez. I find the entire staff at Gerry Lane GMC to be professional, courteous, and attentive, and I certainly plan on purchasing my next truck from this dealership.

Inconsistency at its best

After calling in and providing Gerry Lane with my VIN because they have worked with my truck before AND it's monitored by OnStar I was told if the service I was bringing it in for matched what we discussed it was covered and there was no fee. I brought it in and they did confirm it matched what I told them on the phone but it was not covered after all. So, I had to pay a diagnostic fee a second time. I was told that the service expired at 120k miles and the person I spoke to should have told me that, but probably didn't know my truck had more miles on it and I countered I'm not sure how he would not know that as we started off by opening my vehicle history. They record your mileage each time you bring it in. Anyway. I will not be going back. I do not appreciate having to pay for a diagnostic twice for a known issue. Not ok.

Great Buying experience

I got a 2013 Yukon, there was not one on your lot that had all the options I wanted. Your salesperson quickly located the vehicle I wanted in the correct color with all the options I requested. She contacted the dealer that had the one I wanted and quickly got it transferred to Gerry Lane for me. I could not have been more pleased with the quality of service I received from everyone at Gerry Lane!

A Few Good People

Overall the staff is very nice. There are a few salesmen that appear to be very lazy. I know cars sale themselves, but you have to at least entertain my questions. My salesman, Paul, was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Although he called all the time. The Finance manager was sometimes inappropriate. I asked him several times on two visits if he was having a bad day. He cursed, talked about the other staff, and did not offer me an extended warranty until I signed papers and realized no one asked me.
