Greedy Dealership

Avoid this dealership if you are trading in a vehicle - they are happy to exploit customers. I wasted an entire day and several thousand dollars enriching this dealership when I could have had my Maverick order shipped to my door. I was driving in (to utilize A/Z plan & trade-in for KS tax offset) from 2.5 hours away with a 2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Blue. Ahead of coming in I sent photos and asked them to appraise my vehicle for trade-in, they refused saying they need to see it in person. I ignored that red flag, but at the time thought no big deal they would provide reasonable value for my trade-in. I was getting local quotes for $19,700-21,000 (dealerships & online). After their onsite “appraisal” they came back to me with $17,000 quoting the lowest value on KBB under the ‘Fair’ category, while the vehicle is Very Good or Excellent. They refused to improve on their number and played the ‘finance manager’ game three times over the course of 2 hours eventually adding…$250. Normally I would have walked but didn’t have the means to store/transport two vehicles that far away from home. A few days later they listed my trade-in for $27,250.

Sometimes word to mouth isn't enough.

Short and simple. Vehicle was taken under their care for rework they failed to correct the first time. Vehicle was damaged during their care. Nobody provided evidence that proves damage may have occurred before tooken under their care. General managers would rather use "word to mouth" as proof rather than take care of said damage due to lack of evidence. Now I own a damaged vehicle that a dealership damaged and will not take responsibility of the damage. I will no longer associate myself with long MacArthur Ford. I am not blaming any one person specifically. But I do not trust anyone at the dealership. Not just because of this one incident but many other incidents that long MacArthur as a whole refuse to care for. If you cannot document vehicles coming into your care then maybe you should not be a part of the service.

mirepresented used vehicle from you dealership

I drove 5 hours 1 way march 10 to purchase a 2015 platinum f-250 from you. After confirming with dan penner? that there was no damage on truck i put $500 down to hold truck. When i get to your dealership to pick truck up there are several rock chips on bottom from tires, i counted 4 dings on body and tires are maybe 30% left instead of 70 likie video said on you tube! Very disappointed , even had a friend take off work to drive my other vehicle home.

Best customer service in town. Always in and out within an hour. Service team is professional and to the point. Never tries to get me to buy anything my car doesnt truly need. Never take my car anywhere else to get serviced. Jon Horn best service tech.

Excellent to do business with both before and after the sale

At first I was weary because I've heard mixed reviews from my peers. However, I found a vehicle I wanted, and knew one of the salespeople that worked here. I got ahold of him for a text drive/viewing. Shawn Zeedyk brought the car by my work to look at, and then we met up the next day when I was off work. I ended up switching colors on the car I wanted, got a fair value on my 2 year old car, and got an exceptional deal on the car they were selling me. 3 days after I bought the car my tire pressure light came on about half a block from my house. When I pulled in the driveway it was flat. Now I could have called Ford Roadside assistance and had them change it, but I wanted to do it myself to familiarize myself with where the jack/spare etc. were at and it was pretty simple to do in comparison to other cars. I brought my car in today to have them inspect the tire to see what was going on. Somehow there was a hole in the sidewall which was very odd, but Long McArthur Ford has In-House road hazard on all their new cars, so instead of me having to buy a new expensive tire, they took care of it for me. They also put me in a loaner vehicle until the tire came in, So I'd have something to get to work in. If your looking for a good deal on a new or used Ford, both before and after the sale. I highly recommend this dealership, and Shawn Zeedyk as a salesperson. Thanks Long McArthur, I know I'll be taken care of for the life of my vehicle!

Great Experience

We just bought our second new car from Long McArthur. Both times we had a great experience. Our salesman was very knowledgeable of the vehicles we were considering and was very patient with us wanting to check out all our options on the lot. We will be back in a few years when it's time to replace our old truck!!

The Ford-Lincoln Dealer in KS to buy from

I've bought four personal vehicles, 2 Ford pick-ups and 2 Lincolns, from Long McArthur in the past 5 years. The first one I bought because I lived only 20 miles away. The experience was so good that even though I now live 200 miles away I still return. Sales and service right the first time is worth much to me!

Great prices excellent team

We found the used car we wanted online and contacted the dealership. We interacted with Alisha off and on for a couple of weeks. She answered all our questions, some twice, and never pressured us or got irritated. We drove three hours to see the car. Terry Abbott was our sales professional. He had the car pulled up near the building and ready for our inspection. The car was exactly as advertised. We had already done our research and knew the car was priced about as low as any comparable vehicle in the nation so we didn't negotiate the price. The financing was very simple. We didn't want the additional warranties or add-ons and we weren't pressured to get any. We were simply asked. We answered and moved on. We loved how simple the process was. We couldn't be more satisfied.

Buying my edge

I called on Thursday and told them I wanted to buy the 2013 Ford Edge I was leasing, Set up appt. for Saturday @ 10:30 Was in and out with papers signed and my edge was now mine in 13 minutes. Ask questions BEFORE you buy!

All was going well with this purchase until I asked about the keys to the car. The salesman gave me one key, and the vehicle I traded in I gave them 3 keys, all original. When I asked for a replacement key or the second key the dealership told me I had to buy one for $200.00. That was very upsetting and the dealership did nothing to provide me with another key. I am most likely not ever going back to Long McArthur for anything.

Sold me a dud

Bought a newer 2005 Ford F-150 crew cab. Definitely newer than what I was accustomed to and was sold a lemon. The unfortunate part is they knew it was. With as many issues as I had there was no way for them to not know. The sales team did a fine job finding the truck but as soon as it needed help the service department sucked. I have never been so dumbfounded by the ignorance of one department. None of them should have a license to work on vehicles. Do not buy here, especially used, it will not be worth it. Check the $11,000 loan I will be paying off over the next 3 1/2 years without a truck to show for it. Shame on them

I was asked if I was happy with my service at Long McArthur Ford in Salina. I drive right past the Ford dealer here in Junction City and drive 1 hour to get to Long McArthur Ford. Does that answer your question? Folks, if you want your vehcile serviced right the first time, take it to Long McArthur. Auto dealdership "done right".
