Wonderful experience buying a truck

by Truckguy on 11/08/2017

Casey provided a very pleasant experience in my purchasing a truck. He found me exactly what I was looking for and the price was right on my budget. The Dealorship was very professional and friendly to every question I had and no hard sell or pushy. I will definitely shop again at TruWorth for sure.

Great experience!

by PeterPan on 09/16/2017

Great experience selling my car and browsing for my next vehicle! The selling of my car went smoothly with Carval Lyons, and Ryan Briggs has been a continual help in trying to find our perfect option for a new-to-us car. Once we are ready, I'm sure I'll be purchasing from him!

Five Stars Is Not Enough!

by indyhep on 09/01/2017

I cannot express the AWESOMENESS of the team at this location. Rodney Razor, Michael Pautsch and Alan Stanley. A+++ EVERYTHING. Not pushy, easy to talk to, just a really super bunch of folks. I would absolutely recommend TruWorth in Carmel to EVERYONE that I know. They're friendly and funny and I felt like I was surrounded by friends. It's not often I leave a car dealership feeling as great as I did today. We bought our car in about 3 hours. BOOM! Done. Which is fantastic. We will certainly go back when we are in the market for another vehicle.

great sales associate!

by chrishowrey on 06/01/2017

I bought my jeep wrangler from Truworth auto and absolutely love it. JOSH WILLIAMS was a great sales associate and took the extra time to track my vehicle down since I have been looking for specific features for awhile. I will but another vehicle from this business if the need ever arose.

Don't waste your time here

by dkelmo06 on 05/16/2017

TruWorth Auto is big about finishing sales fast (30 minutes or less, as seen on their website). This is where the problem started, this sale lasted close to an hour if not more. Scott Holthouse (Finance) and Robert LaSalle (Sales) were quick to apologize for this and explained they were just making sure we got the best rate as we weren't putting anything down for the vehicle. We blew this off as it wasn't any longer than any other car purchase we had made in the past. So there we are approved, signed, and off the lot with our new vehicle. 3 weeks later we get a call from TruWorth stating that our financing needed to be finalized and that they would need our most recent pay stubs so that they could verify our income with the financing institution. Puzzled by why this wasn't asked of us at time of purchase, I get the answer "we knew this financial institution would need this, but must have forgot to ask for this proof at the time of purchase". We refused to provide this as this failure was a result of the dealership. We started receiving calls and texts (yes, text messages) from the employees of TruWorth that we had been working with on this sale. I even received a voicemail from Nick Hardwick (General Sales Manager) stating this same needed information about this "Volt" we had bought (we bought a Prius). We offered to give this proof on the condition that the price of the vehicle be changed to reflect the dealerships mishaps. After almost a month of back and forth calls and texts, we eventually gave in and provided the proof for the dealerships mistake because the dealership was trying to void our contract and remove the vehicle from our possession. The dealership did nothing to fix their mishap. So it took longer than 30 minutes for the sale, and then 3 weeks later they realized they forgot to get information from us. This isn't everything....the car wouldn't start not even 2 months from the original sale date. So what did I do, I give TruWorth one more chance to redeem themselves, I give them a call as I know they provide service for vehicles. Scott Holthouse, who I had already dealt with, pushed me onto their service department to discuss the issue at hand. Knowing that the car was purchased less than 2 months ago and already knowing of the other stresses associated with my sale, the service department wanted to charge me $99 for a "diagnostic check" and then even suggested that I could go across the street to the Toyota dealership to have them check it. So I went elsewhere. I'm still so surprised how I didn't just let them take the vehicle back, I will never be purchasing another vehicle from TruWorth and I have not been hesitant in letting everyone I know of this. Horrible customer service.

Amazing service that was actually fast

by travelingrhino on 04/02/2017

I never knew I could buy a car so fast. It was 2 pm on a Saturday, TruWorth was busy, and I still only spent 45 minutes in the dealership. I felt kind of weird having several people helping all at once, but weird in a good way. I would definitely recommend them to anyone

Poor post-purchase service

by hogantp on 02/04/2017

My original purchase experience was very good - Tom Clark was very attentive. Unfortunately, Tom is not being supported by the rest of the team. This review is about the poor service provided post-purchase. At purchase, I added an extended warranty. When I sold the car 12 months later, I filed for a rebate on the extended warranty and received a check from TruWorth for $146.16 two months later. I followed up with a request, via TruWorth's contact site on their website, for an accounting showing how they arrived at that amount. After a month with no response, not even a call or email back. I sent an email to Tom Clark who indicated that he forwarded my email to the "Office Manager". Now, another month later, with no response, not even a call or email back, I have sent the following email to Tom and another TruWorth associate... "Tom: unfortunately, whomever you forwarded this to has not followed through. The service provided on this request has been incredibly poor. I am simply looking for a detailed reconciliation for how they arrived at paying me $146.16 when I cancelled my extended warranty after selling the car I bought at Truworth. I have now added Scott to the is email since I received a "Happy Birthday" email from him in January. I find it interesting that you still are reaching out to me as a potential customer, but are unwilling to provide any service following my previous purchase. I do not know with whom else I should talk and feel as though the company is hiding from the information, perhaps Truworth knows they calculated the payment incorrectly and is unwilling to expose that to me, the consumer. Sincerely, very frustrated." Yes, I could stop in at the dealership to drive home my frustration and will take that step next - this is not, however, how customer service should be provided. It is not Tom's fault or even issue to address, but his very good service has been directly affected by the poor service of others.

This place impressed me

by andytechboy on 11/30/2016

I don't buy new cars, and I avoid debt like the plague. I don't like dealing with salesman because I will NOT be pressured. My wife and I found ourselves in a situation where our car was totaled in an accident, so we needed to find a replacement car quickly. Normally I buy used cars for cash, but this time our cash was short. We drove toward "dealers row" and prepared ourselves for a long day of browsing. I had never heard of TruWorth, and it was only by a happy coincidence that it was the first place we came to. As I walked toward the front door, I was waiting for the vultures to descend...they didn't. Dave Ross met me after I had entered and browsed a little. We talked about my needs and what cars I was interested in, then we talked with the manager, Casey Niles. Casey told me this was a different kind of dealership, and that they didn't pay their people on commission...I liked that a lot. I had no red flags raising. I told them I had seen a specific car online that interested me, so they brought it around. After the test drive, I let them know that it was only the first car, and I would not make a decision yet. We then drove another car that was in our price range. After that my wife and I said we would think about it, but we wanted to shop around. There was no pressure, they just asked if we would keep them in mind. After we left, I got a text from Dave thanking us for stopping in. We went to three other dealerships in the area and only drove one other car. I had a certain type of car and a specific price range in mind because I had shopped privately owned used cars online over the last several days. Of those three other dealerships, there were exactly "zero" cars that interested us. Two of those dealerships had nothing in our price range. I suppose it was fate, we ended up going back to TruWorth and purchasing the first car we had test drove. Dave was out on an errand, so Casey set us up on a computer to enter our information for financing. Scott Holthouse walked us through the various financing options, including one that would help my wife improve her credit score. The entire process took about 30 minutes, well maybe a bit more because they were so friendly that we chatted the whole time. They gave us the keys and the paperwork, and we drove away happy!

Some misleading promises

by JTanglert on 05/12/2016

Nice and modern environment, friendly customer services, good selection of good quality used cars with good values, one of the easiest way to buy a used car... WHY TWO STARS? An ad on the website says - No-commission sale staff, - Best price up front - no hassle, - No additional fee ! Your price + Sale tax = THATS IT!. The first two points are true. The last one...not quite. There is a hidden $199 for so call "Theft protection program" regardless you want it or not. Many auto insurance policies already cover theft. The second lost star is the promise that all vehicles have been inspected and tires will have at least 7/32 of usable tread. Fantastic.. rear two tires fit the description, but the front two are not... they have treads with about 5/32. We told the sale staff. They could not do anything about these issues. The dealership could have many more stars if they keep the promises that they make. Any how.. check them out.

Fair and Honest Business!

by rnmcguire on 04/18/2016

I went to Truworth Auto to check out a Jeep that I saw online. I ended up trading my BMW Z4 for the Jeep and received a very fair deal on both vehicles. I participated in their "shares" program and received another check for my trade within a month! I've purchased many cars over the years but I've never had a better experience that the one at Truworth. The staff is very professional. No cheesy gimmicks or high pressure sales here. They even worked with me to install new tires on my Jeep and their service department was great as well. I'll definitely shop them again and recommend them to anyone I know!

Needs Work

by CarBuyer1009 on 04/07/2016

Bought a car from TruWorth and the sales experience was great! Afterwards we contacted the dealership for a few issues to which one was addressed and the other fell through the cracks and they never responded. Follow up is not their strong suit.

Working together

by ccgml15 on 10/09/2015

Not long after posting this review. I was contacted by the sales manager about this situation and he was not aware of the incident that occurred and was willing to work with me on resolving this issue. I have since then met with sales manager and resolved this issue. Thank you for responding and making my concerns Tru Worth's priority to address. I feel like I could shop at Tru Worth Auto once again because of them taking actions on my concerns.

Great salesperson

by p645250 on 10/04/2014

Just bought a Jeep Wrangler from Tom Clark. Probably the best sales experience I have had in years. Friendly, knows his inventory, not pushy. Answered all my questions, helpful, made good suggestions, attentive, etc. Have bought cars from Carmax in the past, but TruWorth, especially Tom Clark, brought car buying to a new level. Their technology and the information they shared was extensive, helpful and appreciated. Didn't see any gimmicks, and the people were all friendly with a team spirit. Financing was a breeze. I will recommend to my friends - extraordinary customer service is rare these days, but Tom Clark is a fine example.

My Shares Trade Experience

by wileylm on 10/04/2014

I sold my Kia Soul to TruWorth and got a fair price for my trade-in. I did have to track down my check after they received the title, but besides that, everyone was really easy to work with. As far as the Shares Trade Program, I was really interested in being able to get back a little extra money from my car. Josh did a great job of keeping me informed about my car and the process of selling it, and he got my check to me within days of sale. I would definitely recommend the Shares Trade Program to any friends who are looking to get as much money as they can from selling their car without the hassle of doing it yourself.

Doing everything to make it work

by LBPIndy on 07/26/2014

I couldn't be more pleased with my experience with the team at TruWorth, who worked magic to ensure I reached my financial goal in the purchase of a Subaru Outback. I came in with a specific price point in mind, hoping to decrease my monthly car payment with a trade in for a safe, gently used car. I knew that my goal was a stretch for the car that I was interested in, even with a strong trade in to apply towards the purchase. But, even without a down payment, Chip and his team flew into action looking for the best deal for me--and it ultimately worked out perfectly. As a divorcee making my first independent car purchase, I was pretty new to the nuance of the process, but Mike and Chip were extremely patient with me and clear in answering all of my questions. Mike allayed any fears I had and re-explained things when needed. Following the purchase, I was anxious about setting up my payments in a timely manner, and the banks were slow to process the paperwork in the first two weeks. Mike followed up very quickly and let me know the current status of my files with the banks, and in the end everything went through without a hitch. Throughout my time there, Mike and Chip were open and honest about their business and their commitment to the customer, and I felt confident that they were on my side. They earned my trust, which is so important. The team at TruWorth understands that word of mouth is more valuable than money. I consider myself lucky that I happened upon TruWorth Auto, who made me feel like a member of their family in the short time I was there.

Finally - A Positive Car Buying Experience

by carbuyer1975 on 06/18/2014

After nearly a month of searching for the right car for my family at a price that was within our budget, we stumbled upon TruWorth. The dealership was over an hour away and my wife called initially to insure the vehicle in question was still available. She explained the distance we would be travelling and asked if the saleman, Scott, would be willing to test drive the vehicle for an initial evaluation and report back to us any concerns. Within less than 10 minutes, Scott responded that the vehicle was smooth driving and did not appear to have any mechanical issues. He then proceeded to describe every stain, scratch, and cosmetic concerns that we might have including the rear hatch hydraulic lifts were needing replaced. He indicated that he would have those looked at. Later that afternoon, Scott called and asked if we would be interested in a test drive and that he had spoke with the manager and the rear hydraulic hatch lifts would be replaced the following morning. The next day (today) we decided to make the trek early in the morning and stopped at several other dealers that we were also considering. The first indicated that several people were in line to purchase the vehicle and the vehicle was ready for a test drive. We arrived promptly and found the vehichle still being serviced and wouldn't be available for 3 hours. --- We proceeded to the next stop, dealer two, and found the vehicle listed was not available on the lot specified and had to be located then delivered for us to test drive. We proceeded to TruWorth and arrived a few minutes early. We were quickly greeted by Michael and he asked if we were just browsing and indicated he would be inside if we needed any assistance... WHAT!!!!! Yes, he was not on me asking about how much I wanted to spend or how quickly I wanted to buy... He simply wanted to know if I needed help... My wife and I explained we had called the previous day and were interested in a test drive and he quickly retrieved the key. The car started right up without issues, note* the prior 4 cars we had test driven at previous dealers in the same price range and year/age and miles required a jump start. Several of those knew we were on our way ahead of time and didn't take the time to verfiy their vehicle was operational. He asked if we wanted him to come along on the test drive or would prefer him to stay behind. I welcomed his company as we were somewhat unfamilar with the area. We tested all the buttons, gadgets, etc. in the vehicle and he assisted in determing how to operate the features of the vehicle. Not once did I feel pressured to buy. Not once did I feel the need to negotiate the price of the vehicle. It was priced below most other vehicles of this type and was close to most private sale prices. IMPRESSED! We checked the back hatch and told Michael that Scott had indicated it would be fixed. Michael stated he would ship the parts to us if we were comfortable with replacing on our own or we could come back in. Next... We begin the paperwork process and had a trade-in. They were concerned, as I could understand, the quality of our trade but came to a very reasonable agreement quickly and without the typical "behind the scenes" flash that occurs at most other dealers. Lastly, NO HIDDEN FEES. They were upfront, car price + tax... no document prep, no destination, no inspection, nothing... plain and simple. I could calculate and know exactly what to expect. No attempt to sale me "add ons", warranties, etc that are typically a waste of money and have no real value add except to the dealer being purchased from. While signing our paperwork, the parts arrived for the hatch and the service team went right to work installing... TOTALLY IMPRESSED! I have NEVER had an experience so positive or smooth when purchasing a vehicle. A+++ to this team and my hats off to them... Exceptional value, exceptional service, exceptional job. Thanks TruWorth Auto for positive car buying experience... FINALLY! ***Note One of the optional selections for the survey ask what I prefer more, Speed of overall process or Establishing a relationship with dealer for future service and sales --- I chose Speed of Overall Process, however, in this case, they hit both extremely well.

TruWorth Auto and Mike M Rock! Would highly recommend TruWorth Auto. Mike M was great. Experience was enjoyable and professional. They were efficient, enthusiastic, professional while not being pushy or overbearing. Came away with a fair price for a great car. Great Experience

by autoguy10 on 04/01/2014

Great Experience WOW.... Who would believe you could sell your vehicle for a decent price and then get another check down the road for the same vehicle. WELL IT IS TRUE!!! We sold our 2011 Nissan Armada to Truworth the week of March 10th and within 3 weeks they had sold it on their lot!! They contacted us to pick up our check....incredible. This was one of our best auto dealership experiences ever. The staff was very courteous and forthcoming and we did not spend all day in their building. We definitely will be back!! The G's

Great Experience!

by Michael205 on 03/31/2014

I found my vehicle on Cargurus.com. I visited the dealership for a test drive and was greeted with a very welcoming non-pressure Sales staff that was very helpful and courteous. I had prearranged financing and they were able to find me a better finance rate. There was no pressure to purchase the vehicle or switch to their financing. It was simply offered and the decision was mine. I would recommend visiting this dealership before purchasing a vehicle. If they don't have it in stock I believe that they can locate what you want and still deliver a fair price. The usually painful experience of purchasing a vehicle is not present at this dealership. It was a painless, non-pressure experience that I would recommend to others.
