I have been holding off on this review until all my issues were corrected. I bought an ’05 BMW X5 from the dealer this fall. Love the car and the salesman was very nice and worked with us. About a week after having the vehicle we noticed a load bang when pulling away from a stop sign. We took the car in to our mechanic and they showed me where the control arm bushings and the subframe bushings were shot allowing the front wheels to toe in on braking and the entire subframe to move. The 140 some point inspection that the dealership did should have caught this. We were reminded several times during the purchase that this was a very thorough inspection. I called and talked to Bob Heman, sales manager, and told him about the issues and asked for assistance in the $1700 repair. He said that he would get back with me. Several days went by and I called and left a message and then several emails. I never heard back from him again. Aside from the bushings we had to have a complete transmission rebuild at a cost of $3300. Our transmission tech said that the dealer had to know of this problem. I guess it is like everything….BUYER BEWARE. I am just disappointed that Mr. Heman did not have the decency to get back with me. I know I did not buy a $70,000 Porsche but how about a little pride in your service???
