BUYER BEWARE!!! DEALER IS SELLING BAD WARRANTIES!!!

by Eugene_W on 06/15/2016

BUYER BEWARE!!! DEALER IS SELLING BAD WARRANTIES!!! Loopholes in warranty fine print allows warranty company to deny claims on covered parts and Nissan to further profit off of mechanical failures. I took my Pathfinder in for warranty work on my 'covered' transmission. They claim the warranty was denied and said it would be $5000 to repair. Little did I know that their warranties are through a shady warranty company that no legitimate business would partner with. In addition the 2000-2012 Nissan Pathfinder is known for radiator failure that contaminates transmissions, causing transmission failure. There have been numerous class action lawsuits against Nissan, but no recalls were ever issued. #NEVERNISSAN

Friendly and professional

by vikings3 on 07/10/2015

I feel the need to share my thoughts on our recent experience with Fort Wayne Nissan. My wife and I have gone through our fair share of cars so we are quite familiar with the process. I tend to be very tolerant of the experience while my wife hates every second of it. Anyway, it came time to start looking again because it was time to upgrade my wife’s vehicle. We went to several lots and you know within a very short amount of time whether you like the salesman or not, and we ran into several we didn’t like! My wife liked the new Nissan Murano’s so we ended up going to Fort Wayne Nissan, where we met Johann. My wife and I found Johann to be enjoyable. He was not pushy or aggressive like a lot of salesman. We found him to be very honest and upfront and fun to talk to. We found a car we were interested in (which wasn’t the Murano, LOL), but it was too early in our search to buy. We found other cars that interested us, but we felt we would give Johann and the dealership a chance to make a deal because of how we were treated previously. As we were going through the process the level of professionalism, kindness and the lack of pushiness was held at a very high level. During the process I asked my wife how she was feeling, and to my surprise she was actually enjoying herself. I was quite surprised but I agreed because I too was enjoying the process and the people we were meeting. Tim (Sales Manager) was wonderful and so very friendly and kind. Jesse (Financing) was fun to talk to and very honest. We left the dealership with a car that has surpassed all our expectations and the experience also surpassing all our expectations. I am not in the habit of writing reviews so I apologize if this is too wordy, but the bottom line is the next car we buy will be for me, and my wife and I are looking forward to going back to Johann and Fort Wayne Nissan!!!

New 2015 Altima purchase

by Black_Altima on 02/28/2015

My wife and I had a great experience with the sales team and Finance officer. All questions of concern such as other potential rebates and incentives were considered and some accepted that were qualified. Test drive was readily available and items setup in the new car to our specs. I don;t know what more that I could reasonably have expected The company sent a tin of cookies to follow through with the sale.

No Integrity

by customer45 on 08/18/2013

I purchased a 350Z new from FW Nissan and I was given a choice between life time oil changes or a set of new tires. I elected a set of new tires and I have it in writting only to find out that FW Nissan will not honor their original agreement. They stated that tires had to be replaced within 30 days of the purchase of my new car. Really! Who gets new tires within thirty days of purchasinga new car? This was clearly a ploy and deceptive and I would never by a car again from FW Nissan. They promised return phone callsand didn't plus many other tactics deceive!

Don't go near them

by alostraccoon on 03/26/2012

Buy a car from them they rush you though the process and get it out the door as fast as possible. I noticed a problem in the car I purchased before I even test drove it. The battery light being on so I asked them to check it out they never said if they checked it over. Take the car to auto zone the alternator is cooked. I try to call them to set up an appointment and I call 3 times no one answers a phone and no one will return my calls. I got the Car on Saturday and from when I got home till they closed I called several times to get this figured out. I go in today and they offer me a loaner and will most likely charge me to get the car fixed. Never buying from them or possibly every company in the auto group. Do your homework

by ziggy1808 on 02/27/2012

Over the years I've purchases a dozen new vehicles. The first being in 1974 and the last being in 2012. Obviously today there are on line tools available to anyone with internet access. I used Edmond's site to get an idea of how much I should be paying and what my trade was worth. I also used the Kelly Blue Book site. Armed with this data I got a firm price on line and then drove to the dealership with my trade. The young salesman was friendly and knowledgeable about the product which was surprising. Usually, I know more than they do. Their first offer on my trade was a low ball one; after all they are in business to make money. However they were running a "double the rebate" deal which substantially reduces their profit margin on the new vehicle. I made a counter offer on my trade which wasn't as much as I'd hoped to get but was significantly better that their original offer. They had taken $5,000 off of a $32,000 new vehicle and but were giving me $1500 less than I had hoped for my trade. I'm pretty sure all the margin was gone on the new vehicle so I was willing to take less on my trade. The only issue I had with the deal was how long it took for them to get the new one cleaned up and delivered. They did apologize for that and perhaps they were short handed. Four hours after I had signed the paperwork they delivered the vehicle. My advise for anyone dealing with Fort Wayne Nissan is to do your home work upfront, be reasonable with your expectations and friendly with the sales and business staff and you'll do well.

Great Sales, A+ service department

by indiana_klc on 02/01/2012

I stopped into the Ft. Wayne Nissan after stopping at the Honda dealership across the street. The Honda dealership was more worried wether I made an appointment to look at a civic than selling me one. I was not even considering a Nissan until the salesman asked if I wanted to drive the Juke. I told him that I was not interested. He told me that I would love it, so why not. I drove it, loved it, bought it, with no pressure whatsoever. One year later still love it. There service dept. is the great, had fog lamps put added, the work they do is perfect. I am very picky and they are the only service dept. that I have been impressed by. Thanks for the great sales and service. After buying many cars the service department is almost more important the sales department. I am happy with both.

Horrible experience

by wayne75 on 07/09/2011

Would not recommend the Nissan used dealership at all. Salesperson was terrible. Rude from the minute I stepped onto the sales lot. I had looked at a lot of dealerships and this was by far the worst. There are plenty of other places selling used cars .. dont go near this Nissan used sales lot on Lima rd.

Very pleasant experience, no pressure and very friendly saleman.

by tightlilbox on 07/13/2010

Pulled on the lot and glanced around for a car I would be interested in and for the price I wanted to pay. Sameer introduced himself and asked if I had any questions. Told him I was just looking at the time but had a couple questions about the Nissan Versa and Sentra and he helped out with answers as well as mentioning the Cube being in the price range I wanted to keep it in. Took a glance at the car and though ugh not really what I want... Decided I'd move onto another dealer and asked for his card. Wasn't harassed about buying right then and there. So was a pleasant first impression. After looking at several other dealers, including Kia, Subaru. VW, Hyundai and Chevy and not finding exactly the right car and price I decided to check out the Cube again as it started to grow on me. Showed back up unannounced at the dealer and Sameer was off for the evening, however took the cube on a test drive with his partner Josh. After driving it on city and highway roads I decided I liked it but wanted to see what options were available for a stick shift model instead of a CVT auto. We looked up pricing and what dealers had a stick shift within a local area. Ended up deciding on the absolute base model as it came with all the standard options I wanted and the next model up I would have removed most of the options as I upgraded the sound system anyways. (only thing it doesnt have is cruise control but I rarely would use it anyways). I wasn't pressured to look at a model with more options like other dealers had done. I secured my own financing and after a couple days met back up with Sameer to make the down payment and get the Cube on the way from out of state to my dealership. It arrived in 2 days of making my down payment, clean, fueled up and ready to drive off in time for me to get to college classes the morning I picked it up. I felt I was given a fair trade in amount on my Pt Cruiser convertible, $5500 (and it needed a little reconditioning to be ready to be sold by the dealer, as well as had 101,xxx miles). Compaired to other dealers who (VW) offered $5600, (Hyundai) $5200 and Chevy (who were being dishonest and only offered $3000). After the sale, I showed up the next day and was met at the door by Sameer, wanted to show him the DVD stereo I installed the night I got it. Also was greeted by him at my 1000 mile check up (nissan makes sure everything is working correctly and tops any fluids that need to be topped up). I have shown up several times later to show him things on my Cube and he's definately attentive and helpful, I think as excited about my upgrades as I am. One great thing I like about the dealership, free oil changes for life! Which even on my base model Cube I get this benefit... Valvoline oil, with the option of $15 upgrade to full synthetic oil (which will be my oil choice in 600 miles at the first oil change). I'm completely and totally happy with my Cube, the sales people who helped me and my overall experience was absolutely perfect! Thanks Ft Wayne Nissan! Your the best! Only thing I'd love to see in the future for a possible next car purchase, stick shifts on the lot. Last time I dropped in, Sameer had the sales manager come check out my car and they were talking about ordering a couple stick shift models to have ready and waiting! AWESOME!
