I bought this car from STAR on line. It was sent to me with 40 nicks and scratches/scuffs. The engine light came on right away, and they refuse to honor the State of Illinois statue that "the dealer is responsible for repairs for 14 days." The car won't pass state inspection because the engine light is on and the front tires are worn. I have not, therefore, been able to transfer title or plates. After two months of calling and over a hundred texts, I have been advised to file suit. So, if you are planning on purchasing a car from Star, don't do it on line! This has been an absolute horrible experience!!!!!

Thanks Henry. Good guy to work with. I flew in from out of state after talking to Henry a few time. Was worth the trip to buy from them. Wish they had a lil more wiggle room on price but all in all a good experience. Bought the car to surprise my daughter. Thanks guys, Walt

I was interested in a Land Rover Autobiography which they had in stock. But, I wasn't exactly satisfied with my service the first time I came though. The sales guy acted like he really didn't want to show me the car. But he did after I requested to see it from the inside. I overlooked this and came back anyway because I was deciding between two cars and wanted a second look. I had other things to do this morning so I came back at about 8: 40 am this morning. I waited til 9 am when the guys started to come into work. I was greeted when they arrived only to be told that I would need a credit app ran on me to see if I could afford the $76k price tag on the car. Plus a copy of my drivers license. I do not carry a physical copy of my license on me. I have it in my phone for security reasons as is my credit cards. NOT EXCEPTED. I own and have owned a lot of cars in my day including the 39 Mercury I own which has an estimated value of $125k. I was deeply discussed! I have experienced racist hate before but not to this level. If you are a person of color, its best to past this dealer by and go somewhere else like I did and bought a 2018 Land Rover Valar the same day!

I purchased a 2008 Honda Civic Si with 54k miles from them in June. I haven't driven 5 blocks, after I purchased the vehicle, and noticed it was overheating. I turned right around and the sales person told me, that the gauge is reading high due to a hack tune, the manager drove it and it is fine, don't add coolant or anything. I took their word for it. I have retuned the car to stock and it was the same overheating issue. The car had a leaky headgasket, cracked intake valve spring, and a bend valve. I had Honda do the repairs, and they are not honoring their implied warranty. I am currently seeking legal action for the compensation due to the fact they sold me a vehicle with implied warranty on the contract, and the car had a major defect, internal moving part, listed on the contract. I have been waiting for over a month and they will not return my phone calls.

I would like to start off by saying that my sales representative MIKE is absolutely wonderful! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Feels more like a family member rather than your standard sales rep just trying to sell you anything. If I had any questions or concerns MIKE was more than willing to assist and responds in a prompt and timely manner. My experience has been phenomenal. Working with the finance rep FIL was a pleasure as well. He treated me like a family member. He made sure to explain all detailed information and found a vehicle within my overall and monthly budget. Star Motor Sales has more than enough luxury and standard vehicles for you to choose from. I have recommended this dealership to all my family and friends. You won’t be disappointed!!!!

I had been searching for a first generation Cayman S locally for quite some time. After talking to Henry, and finding both him and Fil to be extremely helpful, I drove a very long distance to pick up the car - well worth the drive. In all my years of buying used cars, I have never been more pleased with the service I received at this dealership. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a cold bottle of water on a hot summer evening. Despite my less than stellar credit, they were not deterred from doing whatever it took to get a deal done. The salesperson, Alton, was very cordial, and despite my 4 year olds excessive shyness, he quickly turned her into his little buddy. When it came time to make the deal happen they were very straightforward and open about what they could and could not do. I responded very well to this and I was able to follow suit allowing for very efficient use of both of our times. When it was all said and done we drove off in the car we wanted with a two year extended warranty. Thanks to Adam, Chris, Phil, and Alton for helping to get me into the car I wanted despite my poor credit. If your looking for a dealership with an honest, hardworking staff that treats all of its customers with respect whether you have stellar credit or just had a bankruptcy discharged, this is the place to go.
