I went to this dealership on Sat. and dealt with Octavio. We knew exactly which car we wanted, a 2016 CR-V. They had four at the same price. We were told they don't negotiate, as their price is already low, and that's why. We test drove the car and loved it. We tried to get a final price, but didn't have our car we'd be trading in, and so agreed to come back on Wed. However, Octavio clearly stated it would be 15,399, plus taxes, title transfer and registration, less the trade-in. When we came back last night, not only did they offer an insultingly low $200 trade-in, but they added almost $10,000 to the price, as the total now was $26,000! Once we stopped laughing at the ridiculousness, they offered to take off a few of their add-ons, but insisted they had to leave some, which "only" brought up the price another almost $3,000. This is clearly their way of doing business, hoping the buyer will just fall for this deception, as they let us walk out the door, checkbook in hand. I wasn't asking for a discount, just simply what they had agreed to sell the car for four days earlier. Avoid this place and their shady business practices. There's a reason they advertise low prices, yet their cars don't sell.

"Stay Away from this dealership " - Stay away .. gimmicks and fake promises to attract new customer...Worst customer experience at McGrath City Honda Chicago,IL 60707 To complain about the sales experience we had at this dealership, we were promised one figure when we called and returned for the deal the Sales Manager Andrey refused to keep his words on top of that was super rude, arrogant had a biased behavior may be a little racist. The sales person Manny was agreeing to what we were promised and is a key witness to our entire experience. Turning back on promised numbers however is one thing but talking to customers “did u record my video? I can turn on my words i have rights to change my numbers anytime.. you can complain to whoever you want and I can do whatever i want to and decide to do” is a bad name on part Of Honda as a company, makes customers loose faith in Honda. This was going to be our third Honda car as we already own two of them at this point. Loyal customers of honda getting such experience and not caring about customers for merely a couple hundred dollars and imposing financial options or services is certainly not really what makes Honda what it is

Friendly, fun and pleasant. Of course, a car salesman will do what they have to to sell their product but he wasn't pushy or the experience in a negative manner.

The overall process from exploring the car to the test drive and negotiating the price was hassle free. Never did we feel that our time including the time needed for financing took long. Would recommend anyone to buy from here.

I was told I was approved for a loan Went in the next morning to sign the papers Sebastian Rodriguez told me I can’t sell you this car! So bottom line someone sold the car that morning before I could get in at noon to sign my paperwork! What kind of a company does business like this?! A dishonest one! Now my credit has been hit hard on the pull they took and I have no car to show for it! STAY AWAY!

I went into McGrath Honda very skeptical. I read some bad reviews. Boy, was I surprised!! Not only did I get the lowest price I could find (I shopped for 3 weeks before deciding) but the General Sales Manager John called me the next day for a better deal. Honda came out with 0.9% on the Pilot and he had me come in and lower my payments. The best car experience I’ve ever had. Don’t take my word for it. Go see John and find out for yourself. Top Notch. I purchased a new Accord in May 2017 and it was easily the best auto purchase experience of my life. The salesman all the way to the finance manager and general sales manager were great. Specifically the General Sales Manager John. I was in a car accident in my previous Accord abs firmly believe that I was unharmed because of the vehicle. John then shared a personal story and was also saved from major injury due to Accord construction. If you are looking to purchase a new or used vehicle, I can’t recommend McGrath City Honda enough!!

I recently purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle from McGrath City Honda and felt compelled to write this review! First, let me say I hate going to car dealers and have avoided such in the last 17 years. McGrath, however, and specifically Carl and Gilbert helped to change my opinion about this car dealer! I am a very particular customer who researches her vehicles thoroughly. I experienced very honest and clear communication at McGrath and felt no pressure whatsoever to purchase. Both Gilbert and Carl wanted to ensure I had good experience and got the right vehicle for me, with a fair price. I visited twice and find their customer service exceeded my expectations. After purchase, that same customer service continued. After waiting for a call to set up service, I called them and within hours received three phone calls to apologize that service hadn't reached out sooner and a guaranteed date to bring the vehicle in for the minor bumper repair they wrote into my purchase. In addition to this quick follow-up, they washed and detailed my car for me again!! Gilbert is kind, laid back, and a no-pressure salesperson - which we loved! Carl was easy to work with, quick, witty, and we loved his sense of humor. Add to all this the fact that I am driving a car I love and McGrath City Honda is a win-win!!

I wish I would have read the reviews before I came here because it sounds like many people have had similar negative experiences. Wow this was baaad! I never write reviews, but felt compelled to warn others of this place. We were in the market for a used accord and saw one here that met our specifications. Since we were coming from 1.5 hours away, we called ahead to see if the price was negotiable. They made it sound like it totally was. My husband talked to a staff member at length about his trade and other info. They talked numbers and the sales lady agreed that his offer seemed reasonable. After we decided we might want to purchase, we talked numbers at length to the sales man who made us believe there would be negotiations. Then here comes the used car manager Carl telling us the price was not flexible at all!!! It was beyond disappointing. We wasted a whole day. The craziest part is that Carl got upset and raised his voice at us!! After this, we had a great talk with John S who is the general sales manager of the whole place and he was very reasonable and listened to our concerns. He seemed willing to offer it for less/negotiate, but at that point we didn't want to give them our business. Why do you have sales people if the price is as marked?? We would just go to the register and buy it for a fair price.

Courteous friendly staff. Even other salesmen(Juan Cruz) made conversation with me while I was waiting for delivery of my car. All around pleasant experience. My salesman Dave K. was very easy to work with.
