Felt Like I was Purchasing A Car From A Friend...They Are Awesome!!!

by shapribrown on 03/16/2014

This is my second time purchasing a vehicle from Savannah Toyota. I love their customer service and they make me feel like family. Brad H. was my sales person and I must say he is very knowledgeable. Brad made me feel like I was buying a car from a friend and wasn't high pressure at all. Brad truly cared about my needs and wants in a vehicle and I am very thankful for that. Scott D. was the finance guy he made the process so stress free and gave me very good advice. I love Savannah Toyota and will recommend to everyone I know. Brad and Scott give the company such a great name.

Integrity...not so much

by Mhs0523 on 07/23/2013

I had bought a Toyota from this salesman in 2007 so when I needed to purchase another vehicle I called salesman for a price. I was comparing his price to 2 other dealers. After much negotiation, Salesman gave me a great price and I was all set to purchase the vehicle. He sent me a picture of truck, but they had located the wrong vehicle. I told him that he needed to find me the right vehicle at the price he quoted me. After several days of jerking me around, he told me that he couldn't sell me the vehicle at that price. He said his sales manager told him it was $850 more. I went back to my local dealer and they honored their price without any hesitation. I can't believe Toyota of Savannah didn't honor their word and is willing to risk their reputation for $850.

Arrogant

by molina67 on 02/14/2013

Also received a pricing certificate from USAA and it was not honored. When I told them they were $1000 more than there competition they said that they are forcing them to do that because of their sales volume and that they did not need to meet their price. When I told them about the price certificate $27,900 for a Limited RAV 4, he told me that he can get me one for $30,000. Well I got the same one for $26,500 from the competitor.

Pleased with the buying experience at Savannah Toyota. Salesman, Brad, was polite and knowledgable of new car features. Was good with follow through, without any excessive pressure.

Dishonest statements and deceptive sale pitches

by hbb2 on 11/18/2012

Scott, from the internet service department, sent me an e-mail quote that was not honored on the day of the attempted purchase. I had a price certificate from Consumer Reports specifically for Savannah Toyota and it was not honored. I was told that five Camry LE(s) were available for the price on my certificate. Upon my arrival and after getting confusing price quotes from deceptive Brian, I was told the Camry LE I wanted did not exist. Brian tried to sell me the Camry LE at $1400.00 more than the originally agreed upon internet price. I left after being talked at all at once by Scott, Brian and Justin. Bully tactics and deliberate confusion do not work on me. I went to Chatham Parkway Toyota, who honored their internet price.

Unprofessional to the core

by hal19 on 05/30/2010

I've had a couple experiences with this dealership. 1. About 8 years ago the motor in my 4 runner blew up but it was covered by my insurance company. We took it to this dealership for replacement. Over the next month+ the hood was damaged due to the motor "dropping on it". I'm not sure how that could happen but that is the excuse for the service department. 2. They replaced the hood after 2 years the clear coat started to peel. At this time the hood has only a 3 inch strip down the center with clear coat. The hood is separating from the supports underneath. I really don't think this was a toyota hood as they said. 3. We had multiple minor issues (brakes, electrical) that occurred after the truck was returned. These were fixed by a different mechanic. 4. Recently went to look for a used car so I stopped by to look at their inventory. They attempted to sell me a car that had suffered "extensive" front end damage in a wreck. They told me the car couldn't have been in a wreck because vehicles in that condition are sold off to other channels. They priced the car at about $500 over retail sales value (if the condition was excellent), They were well aware of the history because the car had been in their possession (lease) since delivered new. I have owned toyota's for over 20 years and bought a used toyota in my last purchase. So I have nothing against the brand but I recommend that noone trust dealing with this Savannah company. If you KNOW you've gotten a good deal, buy it. Just don't trust them to treat you well in the future. Don't trust a word they say unless you can verify it. I've steered at least 15 people away from this dealership (sale and service) . If someone else is saved the realization of being screwed by this dealership, then this review has been well worth the time entering it.

WORST DEALERSHIP EVER!!

by bragglerock on 04/07/2009

Among the infinite tasks on our baby preparedness to-do list, we're on the hunt for a family-size car. We both drive over-the-hill compact vehicles with rubber holding up the back windows, a crack in the windshield, a broken bumper and faulty seat belts that Brady used as chew toys. Clearly not suitable for a child or any living, breathing person for that matter. Mike and I ventured to Savannah's car dealership row yesterday. Our first stop was the Toyota dealership. Driving through the lot, it was clear we couldn't afford anything they had to offer. One of the [violative content deleted] circling the lot -- I mean car salesmen -- stopped by our car to ask if we needed anything. Mike told him we're looking for a used -- yet reliable car -- at around $7,000; we don't want to get stuck with payments for six to seven years on a brand new car. Without hesitation, the man said, "We do have a couple of used mini-vans that might suit your needs." This piqued our interests and before I knew it, we were circling the neighborhood in a comfortable 2005 Honda Odyssey with 40,000 miles. However, once we returned to the dealership and sat down with the salesman and the "floor manager," it was clear they weren't listening to us. "So, I see here you want your payments around $300 a month." "No, we made it pretty clear we want it at $200 a month." They pulled out all of the stops. They tried to get our social security numbers for a credit check -- when we didn't even know the price of the car and even after we told them we didn't feel comfortable giving them our social security numbers. They checked out our trade-in vehicle and shuffled some paperwork in the back. All of this effort only to return to tell us, "Well, I don't think this vehicle will suit your financial needs." "How much is it?" Mike asked. "$16,000" "Well, we could have told you it wasn't in our budget instead of wasting time." Mike repeated our top price. Again. The floor manager quickly said, "Actually, we have something that we can get to you around $200 a month." As Mike and the awkward salesman headed out to another van, I grew suspicious. "Babe, you go with for the test drive and I'm going to find out how much it is." As I walked back into the dealership, the sketchy floor manager approached me. "Yes, m'am?" "How much is this car my husband is test driving?" "I won't know that until he comes back from test driving." I repeated the question. "I don't know." "You're telling me that you don't have a list of your inventory back there with the make, model, year and price?" "That's not how we do things here." "Well, when my husband gets back, we will be going somewhere else." "Why would you do that?" he griped at me. Suddenly, I was 10 years old fighting with my brothers over the remote control. "Because I asked you a straight-forward question and you can't give me a straight-forward answer," I said. I don't remember what was said. I walked out after that, waiting for Mike to return. I called my sister-in-law, wondering if I had overreacted. She had rated a dealership as a mystery shopper and confirmed that I was not overreacting. Just then, the floor manager came out and said, "The car is $16,000." "We specifically told you what our top price is." "Well, it's all about the monthly payment, right?" "No." He rolled his eyes. "We can get your payments at around $200 a month if you're willing to give a little." "$200 a month for, like, 12 years?" "Not 12 years." "I don't think so. We'll be leaving. Thank you." Finally, Mike returned. As he opened the door, I said, "We're out of here. The car's $16,000." Just then, the store manager came out. "M'am, I'm sorry if the floor manager upset you." "It's alright," I said. "I'm not upset. We're just not appropriate customers for your establishment." "What do you mean 'appropriate'? We have something to suit everyone's needs

Never Again

by randad79 on 03/29/2008

Went to this dealership looking to replace my current vehicle - was interested in either a truck or a car. My wife and I drove to the lot, got out of the car and began looking a cars and saw one that looked very attractive. A group of men were standing near the door of the dealership, and one of the men shouted to ask us if we needed some help. I said that we are looking to buy a car, he said 'ok', and that was the end of our conversation. My wife and I walked all over the lot and never saw a salesperson again. I had already had a negative experience here after helping my daughter buy a new car.

They have this 15-min. guarentee to have you a price in hand. I spent 4 hours (MISERABLE) hours in their showroom one day. They had my keys from driving (appraising) my vehicle or I would have left. I had talked with the Int. Sales Director before arriving. When I arrived, they put me with some young gentleman who was there for nothing but to make a big profit off me. When I finally got to where I could get my keys, I told them I was not interested, give me my keys, and I left. Never again will I visit Savannah Toyota.
