WASTE OF TIME!!!!!

by JP on 10/04/2020

Found one of their cars online so i called ahead to make sure they still had it since it would be a 1 1/2 hour drive for us. It was a cash purchase and the salesman insured me it was there "I can go put my hands on it right now" his words !!! He didn't tell me his name so i couldn't confront him!!!! Then as I walked out a different sales person asked if i needed help so I just held my phone up and he said " oh ya that car is right around the corner and up the hill" so completely flustered me and my daughter walked the lot for the next 45 mins till finally a service tech told me they sent it to auction. When your only off one day a week and spend three hours driving and over a hour there looking for a car you been told was there an apology just dont do it!!!!!! They keep good deals online just to draw people in then sale them $40,000 cars they are [non-permissible content removed]!!!!! Some of the cars have sold over a year ago.

Awesome

by Cagle on 08/01/2020

Absolutely the best Toyota dealership within a 2-hour drive of me. I contacted a total of 10 Toyota dealerships around my area to find the right salesman who wanted to work a deal. I live three minutes from the Toyota dealership in my town and they are absolutely horrible so I did not have a problem going elsewhere for great customer service. I spoke with Jason on the phone on a Monday evening and he was ready and willing to work with and close the deal the same day. I'm not an easy customer when it comes to purchasing vehicles. Jason took every one of my questions and my bargaining deals and handled it wonderfully. He was super friendly with the kids and extremely knowledgeable about the vehicles. When I went in and spoke with finance, Esqu, he was absolutely helpful, talkative, positive, friendly and all around a great guy also. I asked for a sales manager while I was there to let them know how wonderful Jason had been and everyone I spoke with again was absolutely friendly and helpful. when I tell you this is the place to go I mean it. I drove an hour and 40 minutes to get the best customer service and it paid off well.

Actually good experience at a dealer

by bdillahu on 02/12/2015

I generally love Toyota vehicles, and hate the dealer experience. In this instance, I had been to another dealer in the morning where I received the standard of Toyota care (i.e. none- salespeople didn't know the product, insultingly low trade-in offer and no willingness to deal). Wound up dealing with Atlanta Toyota. Salesman was very good, not pushy at all and actually knew something about his product. The first offer from the dealer side was actually inline with what I had felt would be nearly best case after doing my research on going prices, invoice prices, trade-in value, etc. We adjusted a little and bought the car. Huge dealership with a very large inventory.

Great Experience!

by smeyer504 on 06/05/2013

I contacted Atlanta Toyota through Edmunds. Heard back from them right away. I had a quote on the car I was interested in that I liked. I went in the next afternoon and drove away in the car I wanted!

Tremendous

by grandchan on 04/07/2013

I submitted an online inquiry about the used car I wanted and explained my stats with what I had for down payment and what I was pre-approved for. I knew it would be a long shot to get the car I wanted at Atlanta Toyota but low and behold they wanted to make it work and give me an astounding value for my trade-in. So I drove 700 miles to make this deal work. Turns out when I get there, there are some issues with my trade-in. Despite all of this they STILL honored the deal. Seriously, I would not have blamed them if they couldn't have but they didn't even try to fight me on it like every other dealer in the world would have. I was so impressed and happy with the integrity and professionalism ever step of the way by Stephen. It was a smooth transaction and as arduous as buying a car can be, it really went forward as clean as possible. Beyond that, I LOVE X5 I got from them. Typically, people don't write reviews unless they're pissed off but and either would I but I'm so impressed and happy I just have to. If anyone wants to ask me any questions I'll be happy to answer. I live in Florida and would happily go back up there to buy my next ride.

A very pleasant experience!

by HBRN on 01/24/2013

We had a very surprisingly good experience with Atlanta Toyota. After researching Edmunds.com, we were able to find the car we wanted, along with a dealership that was willing to negotiate. We communicated entirely by email until the day we walked into the dealership to purchase the vehicle. We had a trade-in and we needed to finance with Toyota. We reached a deal, had all the paperwork done and were on our way home in our new Venza in about one hour. Our salesman was Franklin M and he was 100% customer friendly.

Great dealership!

by cyndirose on 09/09/2012

This summer we were in the market for a new van. We went to 6 dealerships and ended up walking due to no flexibility with sale people. So we went here expecting to walk again. We were surprised to be met in every direction with flexibility and helpfulness. The salesman we dealt with was Anqar (SP?) and he was one of the best we have dealt with.

Women ignored if alone

by howdyhow on 12/07/2009

" It makes me wonder if they have something against women since I was never treated that way." I think they do because I was ignored the minute I pulled up. I looked around the lot for 10 minutes with no help in sight. I figured this was intentional but I decided I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. I started to walk up to the showroom. As I was approaching I saw a young woman standing outside the doors appearing to be waiting for someone. Then a salesman, manager? walked out and asked if I had been serviced yet. When I said no, he said this young lady could help. You mean she was a salesperson? And I know she had seen me pull into the lot, browse for 10 minutes and start the long ascent up to the showroom, and she stood motionless at the top of the steps the whole time?? I was quite disappointed and knew in that instant they would never get my business. I let her try to sell me a car but I was satisfied knowing she was freezing her glutes off and wasting her breath.

First-time car buyer's great experience,,, with Atlanta Toyota!

by ugadad81 on 08/08/2009

If you've ever bought a car you know how stressful it can be. Therefore, even more reason to have a resource like this to help others with their experiences--whether good or bad. Our experience was very good. After visiting many dealerships on-line as well as in person, let me say that hands down the Atlanta Toyota dealership, from the top general manager to the service technician, this whole experience was made memorable. My son was in the market for a Tacoma truck. We found other dealerships to lack the inventory for the particular truck he was looking for. Not only were we disappointed that these dealerships did not have what we were looking for--but the sales people (for whatever reason) never responded back to us after weeks of waiting. That is, until we found Atlanta Toyota and their staff of professionals. As a long-time owner of many Toyotas myself, it was a welcoming reunion for me to run into the general manager, Mr. Gentry, who had been selling me cars for years. I knew my son would be in good hands. Mr. Gentry introduced us to sales professional Mr. Song who immediately showed us his inventory of trucks on site as well as an inventory list of trucks due to come in later. He made it quite clear that if there was a specific truck we were looking for, that he would make calls and contact my son as soon as something came available. Fortunately for my son, the Tacoma of his dreams was on the lot. Mr. Song knew the situation of this being my son's first experience of buying a car and made the process less stressful for both of us. This is where we then saw the Atlanta Toyota team of professionals come together. Mr. Song worked with my son on all avenues of sales discounts--from first-time buyer discounts to recent college graduates program to even explaining the cash for clunkers program (on his old gas-guzzling car). It was a satisfying sight to see how well Mr. Song and Mr. Gentry worked together on behalf of my son's interests. They worked with him and respected him knowing he was a first-time buyer. After negotiating all of the sales options and negotiating a fair trade-in price for his vehicle, the sale was made! He was introduced to Mr. Mitchell who is one of the finance managers. Mr. Mitchell then took my son to explain all his financing options and even allowed me to tag along (which surprised me since this could be an opportunity for shady practices of selling something unnecessary to my son.) I was very pleased to hear and observe that not only was Mr. Mitchell very professional--but also very concerned in what was in my son's best interest as well. After showing my son what was best suited for his situation--the transaction was completed. Which brings me to why I call Atlanta Toyota a team of professionals from top to bottom. We were then put back into the capable hands of Mr. Song who presented my son his package of keys and explained all the things that would take place in the coming weeks concerning vehicle ownership. At that time, a technician from their service department team walked my son out to his fully gassed and polished new Tacoma! This experience was not only an eye-opening one for my son--but it was also a very gratifying one for me to be a part of as well. It was very nice to be reunited with a man like Mr. Gentry who truly cared about his customers and was very pleased to hear that I still had the very first Toyota I purchased from his former dealership some twenty-three years later! Let me close by saying I hope this review will be helpful to anyone who values reviews as I do. I can truly say Atlanta Toyota is fortunate to have built a professional sales staff such as the ones I have mentioned in this review. I have learned--and now my son has learned--that the staff is truly dedicated to building relationships that last!

Pushy Salesman

by gamommy on 08/14/2008

I recently went to Atlanta Toyota at Gwinnett Mall, and was quite unhappy with the experience. My husband and I told the salesperson before looking at any cars what price range we were interested in. Of the 5 or 6 cars he showed us, only 1 was in our range. He was very pushy about having us run numbers on a car that was more than $4,000 what we wanted and could afford. We then told him what monthly payment we had budgeted. After running the numbers he said he had "great numbers" for us, which was a monthly payment of more than $100 more than what we told him. When we explained to him several times that it was too much, he brought the manager over to tell us that we could not afford that vehicle with that monthly payment. HELLOOOO! That's what we said from the start!!! So, even though we were quite clear regarding our budgeted amount, we still left the dealership feeling somewhat small, very taken advantage of, and like we had wasted an hour of our time at that dealership. I wish dealerships and salespeople cared more about the customers, and less about their commissions. The world would be a much better place if people cared about others.

These people are [violative content deleted]. Stay away!

by buzz144 on 12/02/2007

These people are accomplished [violative content deleted]. I test drove and bought a new (11 Miles) Tacoma. Liked it and they supposedly washed it while I paid cash and signed the papers for a new Tacoma (sales receipt again said 11 miles) They pulled the vehicle up, I jumped in and proudly looked around, then I looked down and the odometer said 734 miles. Turned off the engine and went looking for salesman, who was nowhere to be found. When I finally ran him down, his comment was "too bad, done deal." I hunted down the general manager, Adam Berman, and his response was "We gave you a good deal; you have no gripe." Stay away from these people. They are rotten to the core.

2007Toyota Tacoma

by orland14509 on 10/25/2007

I bought a used '07 Tacoma in May of '07. One of the unusual features was a cruise control which the salesman mentioned because it didn't have other power options such as doors and windows. I traveled to SC the following month and I remember using the cruise because the control was a little unusual. I had to push two buttons at the same time to shut it off. Also, I thought the truck was shifting when it was going up a slight incline. I didn't have occasion to use it for the next few months, and when I did the cruise didn't work. I took it in for service and was told it never worked because "brains" weren't even there. It was supposedly added by the previous owner. Since I bought the truck with the knowledge that it had a cruise (by my own observation as well as the salesman's comment) I felt it should be covered by the Platinum Warranty which I paid extra for. I called and talked to the manager of the dealership and he backed up the service dept's statement that it never had a cruise. Whether it did or not it should have been covered by the warranty since it was sold to me "with a cruise". They finally offered to install a cruise for something under $300 and I refused. As far as I'm concerned, I was ripped off!

Never Again

by peter_williams on 10/22/2007

I leased a new Avalon from these guys. I had to leave a deposit for them to locate the exact color/option combination. On closing, they had "lost" all record of my deposit. Fortunately I had the receipt. Next, they "miscalculated" my lease at the agreed monthly payment PLUS sales tax. I had their computer printout from when I ordered the car which showed that the amount INCLUDED sales tax. Within a couple of days and with less than 30 miles on the odo, I noticed that the car was riding very hard. I called the salesperson to ask if they could switch the Bridgestone EL400s to Michelins as the Avalon comes with either - luck of the draw. The salesman didn't return my calls. I left multiple messages without getting a response. I called the sales manager and he avoided my calls too. I went to the service manager who refused to help. I contacted Toyota Customer Service who told me to go back to the dealer. The sales person called me back after being prompted by Toyota and said that the manager would not replace the tires. I went to a Bridgestone dealer who replaced the tires under warranty and upgraded me to a better quality tire. I completed Toyota's new car survey and gave the dealership and salesman the rating they deserved. The salesman eventually called me back about 2 months later - to complain about my survey. I continued to have multiple problems with the Avalon but the dealer never resolved any of them. They even pushed back on implementing TSB's that documented the problems I was having. Other Toyota dealers were just as unhelpful. This vehicle was a mechanical and electronic nightmare. I eventually traded the Avalon at less than 6,000 miles for a Nissan.
