Avoid this dealership - Judgmental Sales Staff

On a whim, based on the elevated prices of used cars (I looked up my vehicle), I decided to upgrade to a Porsche. I found a used 2020 Cayenne with low mileage at Champion. I was well prepared to purchase when I went to the dealership. I had a high-value trade-in, several thousand in cash and preapproved financing. John Schaefer, salesman, responded to my email inquiry to confirm the vehicle was on the lot. I scheduled a test drive, drove the vehicle, and immediately decide to purchase. I provided John with all my financial items (trade-in, cash and approved financing). An initial offer came back with a low-ball offer for the trade-in; which he agreed was low based on his search on KBB and Edmonds. I realized it was just the beginning point in negotiations. He asked, and I advised, what my comfort zone was. I also let him know I had to leave, and if he could get with his manager and come back with a better offer. I asked him to call me. He responded indicating I had his number, and to call him. I called the next day and left him a voicemail - no response. I called the following day and left 2 voicemails - no response. At that point I located another vehicle at Porsche West Broward (I highly recommend them). I took the long drive there, and closed a deal later that day for a newer, nicer, and more expensive vehicle. Advice to potential Champion Porsche customers: Wear a tux with lots of accoutrements or they will not give you the time of day or the courtesy of call back. (I wore shorts and a t-shirt). I guess they can afford to blow off an $80K+ sale. Instead go to West Broward Porsche - they do not have a dress code nor do they judge you based on your appearance.

Always room for improvement

Great folks all around especially the service reps. But Larry R. in sales needs to come down from his high-horse or move on to another profession. What an obnoxious little man. Listening to your customers is always a good start, but difficult when you love the sound of your own voice as much as he does..

If you want the best sales experience ( and with a Porsche this should be standard) ask for Bruno G. He knows the product, and this guy is real. No sales pressure, no push on options, no down playing your trade. Straight information on everything, no games. I have purchased three times from him in the last 9 years. Porsche there is no substitute
