Car Noises After 2 Hours of Ownership

I purchased a used vehicle on 7/11/21. I traveled about 90 miles to buy this vehicle. On the drive home, at highway speeds, there was a vibration throughout the vehicle. I figured probably a wheel balance issue, and I can handle that. What was more concerning was the loud squealing noise as I pulled up to my home. Now, this is only after a couple of hours of owning the vehicle. A noise that continues to now, 19 hours into ownership. Calls to try and speak to a manager met with negative results. I was able to secure email addresses for the used car manager and I assume the dealership manager and email them both letting them know my concerns. I will update all rating categories positively after speaking to the representatives of this dealership and reaching an amicable solution. If an amicable resolution is not reached, I will update accordingly.

Universal Hyundai is a great place to buy and I definitely recommend them! My Family has been Hyundai owners for the past 5 years and they love their vehicles!! The people are friendly and knowledgeable. The moral is awesome all the time when we are there!! This is the place to go!!
Beware Bait and Switch

ery disappointed with our experience here and the unethical business practices used by Universal. I had agreed on a price for a new car with Universal's internet sales department. I confirmed the details several times before making the 45 minute drive to the dealership. When I arrived, the car was parked out front and we took a quick drive in it. I then came inside to finalize the sale. After taking my information and running my credit for financing (which "dings" a credit report - I typically do not run my credit unless I am certain that I will make the purchase, to avoid negatively affecting my credit score), I was told that the salesperson had made a "mistake" and quoted me the price on a DIFFERENT car. The actual car I wanted (which again, had been pulled around to the front of the dealership for me) would cost me an additional $1800 over what I was quoted (in writing). The fact that I had the quote in writing (they even had a print out of our email exchange) did not matter. They would not honor the price I was given. In fact, the new price was significantly higher than what I had been quoted at other dealerships. Needless to say I left immediately. Because of Universal's lies, I wasted 2.5 hours of my time and got a hit to my credit score, for nothing. Buyer beware.

Ideal buying experience

I bought a 2016 Tucson yesterday. I usually dislike the new car buying experience but my salesperson made it a calm, no pressure, enjoyable experience. Ron Thomas is very personable and you immediately feel like he's an old friend, a friend that's not going to try to have you buy something you would later regret. I've bought a half dozen new cars over the years and this was the first time there was no tension at all. I can't imagine they have a better salesperson so I would recommend you ask for Ron Thomas to see what I'm talking about.

Excellent experience

Adam Karlski was my salesman, who worked for two days to try to get me a deal that I could afford. With bad credit and an upside down trade in, I knew this was going to be a long and difficult process. Adam and Ron did everything in their power to get me a deal that I could be comfortable with. All of the staff was helpful, friendly and knowledgable. Everyone who was working on my deal came over to meet me and to introduce themselves. I received extra special attention and was kept in the loop through the whole process. Adam made a stressful process extremely smooth. Although in the end, I did not purchase a car due to my husband being deployed I will be back upon his return to pick up my new baby. I couldn't be any more thrilled with the service I received. Adam really made this experience a great one.

I have never experienced a higher level of customer service than I did with Universal Hyundai! Adam, Ron, and Tim went above and beyond to make it the best car buying experience I have ever had! If you are in the market for a new car, make sure you go see Adam Karlski! Adam is by FAR the best salesman I have ever dealt with and you will not be disappointed!

went to Universal Hyundai after a negative experience with City Kia. I had a wonderful experience at Universal. The whole team was great. Salesman Adam Karlski took his time showing me different cars and helping me pick an affordable car without sacrificing the perks. He was friendly and very understanding. He treated me VIP. If you are looking for a place to buy a car then this is the place and Adam is your salesperson and believe me you won't regret it. I just love my new car and is not breaking my pocket 😁😁

my new car buying experience

I got there at 3 o'clock with intentions to buy a used car, after viewing there selection I finally spoke with Ron Thomas who literally dedicated the rest of his night to me. I ended up leaving with a brand new 2015 elantra paying maybe $100 dollars more than I was with my 13 year old car. Ron was amazing, we crunched numbers and before I knew it I was heading home with a giant smile on my face. I will definitely be referring friends and family to Ron. He was very kind, sincere and I wouldn't of had it any other way....Thanks Ron.....You DA MAN!

My wife and I bought a 2012 certified pre-owned sonata from Universal Hyundai which at the time had a clean vehicle history report. Two months later we took the car to a different Hyundai dealer for service and they informed us that the car had been in a collision. I checked the vehicle history report and sure enough it had been in an accident 3 months before we bought it. I called Universal Hyundai and explained the situation and they said to come in and they would fix it. Chris Keller the GM took care of us personally and made sure that we were happy. They bought the car back from us for exactly what we paid for it and we put that towards a brand new car and they gave us a great deal. We are very happy with Universal Hyundai. I highly recommend buying from them. Thank you Chris Keller and Chris Arner for taking care us.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE

I live in the Longwood area and drove 45 minutes to buy from this dealership. My salesperson, Dusty is by far the most professional and courteous salesperson I have experienced. This dealership goes the extra mile from sales to service. I have recommended this dealership to many of my friends and all say the same. They deliver what they promise and follow up on every issue. They had us sign papers. They told us we were approved for financing with zero down and 7.49%. We drove the car off the lot. A few days later, they call us saying we weren't approved, demanded 290.00 and wanted me to reapply by myself. We didn't trust them so we said you can have your car. They handled themselves unprofessionally. Florida law says you need to have a signed paper saying that the deal fell through so you can cancel insurance before sixty days of getting insurance. The manager of this place was annoyed. He said I never heard of this before. He was saying things like I don't see what the big deal is. I can't even put into words the attitude that was there. When they demanded the money, it was like they were holding us there, refusing to take their eyes off of us. Even when we said we wanted to talk in private. I'm sorry don't tell people that they are approved and give them a car when their not. The insurance place said they have heard of car dealers doing this. To make people fall in love with the car and then fork out the money. She was surprised that a big dealer like this place would do that though.
