Used to be better years ago

by deccie on 02/23/2024

I have purchased 5 autos from Daytona Toyota over the past 10 years. Times have sure changed recently. In Dec 2023 I purchased a used RAV4 (most of my previous purchases were new) which they said was "inspected" and everything which was not in excellent shape was replaced. One week later I went in because my tire light was blinking. They told me they replaced two tire sensors and left the other two in place because they didn't show failing. Now, one week later they want $300 to replace the last 2 sensors. Toyota knows all 4 sensor batteries are exactly the same age and should all be replaced when 2 of the 4 go bad. There are other Toyota dealerships in Orlando and Jacksonville so I will be buying from one of those from now on.

Very happy :)

by oviedoed on 06/18/2014

It came down to either a highlander xle or a santa fe gls...we shopped all around and this was the best dealer by far to deal with. I knew what I wanted and how much I was going to pay...Ash and Mike were great to work with and we purchased the vehicle we wanted for the right price...very happy with the transaction and how we were treated.

Horrible! Lies, Lies, Lies

by irwin_t on 04/03/2014

I found that they had the same car listed online for $4000 less then what they tried to sell it to me for. Make sure you look around at all the reviews for this company. There are a lot of bad remarks about there sales department.

Not worth the couple hundred dollars...

by snowflake82 on 08/22/2013

This was a horrible dealership. The initial paperwork process was completely disorganized and I had to make several phone calls to get details straight. While they gave me the price I wanted, they failed to tell me about the locations where the warranties and lifetime oil changes were valid, and also failed to tell me that the $500 loyalty cash was "included in the price" to "get me to where I wanted to be". By rights, that should have been my money to put toward the deposit, not jack the price of the car $500 so they could make some few extra bucks. The sales manager who "negotiated" the price with me was friendly and willing to deal until he found out we were financing with another company, then he didn't give me the time of day and was rude when I spoke to him. Oh and regarding the 0% APR deal, it was NOT the best deal I could have gotten, which is why we ended up financing elsewhere. That was a big lie as well. And why did I have to fight so hard not to pay for Toyoguard when I didn't want it on the vehicle to begin with? Putting it on in advance and then fighting not to pay for it was a huge waste of energy and time. Daytona Toyota has called twice since I purchased the vehicle and I hope they stop calling and I never have to deal with them again. I will give up my lifetime oil changes and extended power train warranty to be done with them for good.

Why we keep coming back to Daytona Toyota

by Marsha386 on 05/04/2013

Hi: This is our third car from Daytona Toyota and though we have shopped around we keep coming back to them due to the great service and attention to detail that they present. We recently bought a Prius V not even knowing that model was available. Glen M. spent hours with us, explaining all of the benefits of the Prius and how it operated. Once he listened to us, he realized that we needed the Prius V, we had never seen one before. Now we happily own one. Glen listened to us and explained everything, it was a great experience and one of the reasons we will go back again.

Couldn't be happier

by Kevin_T on 04/27/2013

Dealt with the internet rep, Kevin, they were up front about everything. I could not have been happier. The deal was fair, and the interest rate was 2.9! Glenn M. was my salesman, prompt and professional. I can't say enough good things. I drove from Melbourne, 83 miles because this dealership was willing to order what I wanted, and gave a great deal!

Internet Purchase of a 2013 Prius V (3)

by rzca on 01/13/2013

We dealt with Chris D. at the above dealer - they not only beat the competition on my Edmund's submission on the purchase price but they offered us the best trade in value, but a huge amount, over the other dealers. We also negotiated the floor value of our trade in over the phone simply by providing an accurate assessment of out car (outstanding and low mileage) and providing the vin number. Chris came back with a guaranteed bottom price (which met our must have price) and we took it from there. We visited the dealer to see what was available and drove our new car away that same afternoon. Chris even followed us home in our trade in to pick up some paperwork! This dealer wants to work with the customers and will listen to fair and reasonable offers. We highly recommend them and Chris.

Service Department

by dmac14 on 11/27/2012

Ok, the reality of the situation is the service department is very poor. Yea, when you buy a car your told how great it is, how you'll get loaner cars, and quick responses, and "customer care". With regards to my situation, this is not the case. I've brought my prius in three times now for the same problem. Each time, I've had to wait over a week for a loaner car. Each time it comes back with the same problem (which is, nothing lights up car won't start after you turn it off). First repair consisted of a computer reset. That didn't do anything... broke down again. Second time they said it was the key fob...broke down again. Then they said that even though the 12v battery tests good, thats the problem. So, $240 later, it breaks down on the side of the road again. During this time I called the dealership to tell them that every time I put it in park the "low key" light comes on. Jackie, a service rep, tells me, "we will document your issue." Of course, that's when she decides to call me back. Now, I am waiting, once again, for there to be a loaner car available so I can bring my prius back in to have another diagnostic test performed. You would think that when there is a chronic issue with a vehicle and your service department is having difficulty in the diagnosis, that customer care would be brought to the forefront. For instance, come get the vehicle; tow the vehicle to the service department; have loaner cars available. See, when you live 45 minutes from the dealership you kinda rely on good service to help you when you have a problem. Yes, we could get the vehicle there but if they want to keep it for a couple days, offer to bring me home! Do something! I don't expect a dealership to necessarily treat their customers like royality, but taking 4 days off work to drive to the service department over the course of a month is more burdensome than you think. You can buy a vehicle from anywhere. What makes one dealership stand out over another is their service after the sale. Sure, oil changes and tire rotations are great, but when it comes to a real issue, I want a dealership that can step up and deliver on that service promise.

Great Deal!! Worth the time and trip!!

by jordanbev5 on 05/23/2012

I emailed thru Edmunds and got a response quick from Jermaine Lewis, who called as well. After giving specifics I wanted, he called again with price quote and then we negotiated the rest. I purchased the car with in 4 days of my first contact! He was upfront and worthy of my time and trip from Orlando to Daytona BCh. Make sure to print off the dealerships $25 trip rebate, and check any other deals online and they will match!!!!! Jason "JB" Bland did my actual sale once there. Great professionalism!! Can't say enough about this dealership.
