[violative content deleted]! I cannot believe how we were taken advantage of by their service department! We initially brought our vehicle in because it was overheating. The suspected "problem" was that the freeze plugs were leaking antifreeze and causing the overheating. So they were replaced and the system was topped off and "burped." I also had the oil changed which totalled a little over $500! $500! Mostly labor... however, when we got the vehicle back, there was NO HEAT. Apparently that was not noticed when the Heating/Cooling system was checked over, topped off, and "burped." Not wanting to spend another wad of money, I did some research on what it could be... apparently, NO HEAT is common in this vehicle. The repair? Check the Thermostat... we did, and replaced it... still no heat... Being that it has been in the teens recently, we decided to call to have it checked out (against our better judgement). We dropped the car off at 830am, after it sat ALL day, I got a message at 445pm that there was a question. When I called back, service was closed for the day. I called the next morning and was told that they replaced the thermostat that was stuck and further, the heater core was flushed. Note that the thermostat was just replaced, and the work that was done wasn't brought to my attention before being performed. When I informed the person on the phone that there was no way the thermostat could have been bad, he said "Oh, well then, well take care of that cost." Still, the bill was to be $142 to flush the heater core?! Work never approved and outrageously over priced... Why wasn't this noticed on the last visit that cost me over $500 in labor? Bad service, that's why... So I talked to the service manager... he said, sorry, $142, that's the labor cost for this new work... Nothing else. I told him that if this was the way service was handled that this is the last time I bring my vehicle back here for any repairs... His reply? "That's fine." If you can't trust a dealership to honestly take care of your vehicle, who can you trust?! Stay away... Unless you have a mess of extra cash laying around....
