Service Rating:

Bumper to Bumper a real bummer

If you spend $11,000 on a new car would you expect to pay over $1,000 in repair cost the first year despite having a bumper to bumper warranty. No I didn't wear out the tires, if fact went less than 10K miles. And no, I didn't hit anything. Seems the clutch wore out and that made the rotor fan break. Come on. The dealer 1st State says it's caused by abusive driving. GM says they go by whatever the dealer says. Bottom line I'm stuck for 1000+ for a car nine months old and certainly not abused. I will not value Chevy's bumper to bumper warrenty for as much as a dime.

Hey, there isn't any automobile that warranties wear items such as the clutch. Basically it seems that you just don't know how to drive a manual transmission. We have 2 manual transmission vehicles in our family. Both have the original clutch. One truck has 96,000 miles and the car (a Chevrolet) has 77,000 miles. Sounds like the dealer was correct with their diagnosis.
