Exceptional!

This was my second time leasing a car from New Country Toyota of Westport. My family has purchased several cars from New Country Toyota of Westport over the last several years. All of us have enjoyed exceptional service while dealing with the purchase, lease, and maintenance of said cars. The most recent experience I had was the best so far. My schedule and hesitance to make a decision required a few visits to New Country Toyota of Westport before making the ultimate decision. Each person I worked with, Nick, Jeff, and Paul helped make my decision as seamless as possible. I am currently driving a car I love for a price that worked within my budget. I would not buy or lease a car from anyone other team. It is reassuring for me to know that both my car and I will always be taken car of at New County Toyota of Westport.

My salesman lied to me - wanted to fill his sales quota. Rather than let me take time to come up with cash (5 days), he assured me that I would pay no interest if I financed through them, and paid in full before the first month's due date, which I did. This was an outright lie!

Not trust worthy Bough a certified 09 Camry!! Paid handsome money still I was treated as if I am buying 10 years old car. While selling the car they were nice and polite. Once I paid token money things changed and they started dominating. They did not keep their promise for delivery date, clean car, change of parts, etc. They delayed car delivery saying work is being done and finally did $5 car wash and delivered car. There were belongings from previous owner!! Before delivery they promised to take care of scratches on car body but finally gave me car paint and asked to get it done myself!! Bought the car an after lot of wait they promised to get the bumper paint work done. It has been 2 months they are not picking my phone calls. Would not recommend this place at all.

i have bought many new cars in my lifetime and we do shop around at a few dealers for the best price I was amazed at the rudeness of the salespeople here. What kind of salesman won't tell you what the actual sales price of the car is or what the amount the will give you for your trade? every time I asked I got a bs answer that made no sense. I was treated as an idiot that could not park a car i was test driving, the salesman repeatedly lied to me and was the most codescending man i have ever met. We happily bought our new car with no issues at all the following day. Do not buy a car here!

A terrible sales experience(s)

no self-respecting person should bother going here. apparently sales being down 30%+ has not reached westport bc these guys just don't care. they have a great product car-wise but i just can't talk myself into doing business with such arrogant and sub-literate [violative content deleted]. I have been back now three times trying to make myself buy the venza but have decided i need to venture beyond my own neighborhood. don't bother with these guys, they're terrible. the answer to every question is I dunno. it gets 20 city and 20 highway. what?!? are you high? i really thought there was something unbalanced about the kid who took us out today. the real sales guys were all huddled around a tv or something in a side office and ignoring everyone who came in. who gets to do that in this economy? the guys at toyota of westport, that's who. if you have to work for a living and only want to do business with others who share that ethic, don't bother going here. you will experience nothing but frustration.

Do Not Do Business Here

The sales manager asked my father in law and I to leave the dealership when I asked for $200 more on my trade in stating that this is not the way he does business here. I had a lease deal done with my 80 year old father in law only to find they hid $1,000 in the deal before I got involved... They were extremely upset when I became involved. We dismissed the arrogant sales manager and dealt with the finance manager. We agreed to the deal as he was more level headed. The sales manager "Armondo" walked across the dealership and asked why we thought he was rude. We explained and he said we could no longer do business here. My father in law asked numerous times to have the deal done (against my recommendation) and the sales managers ego got in the way. He stated that if we were un-happy with him, he would not let us purchase a car there... after they had already deposited a check 7 days earlier. Armondo stated he did not need to sell any more cars and asked us to leave. The finance manager said he could not sell us a car either... We got the General Manager on the phone who said he was at dinner with his family (He could have told Armondo to get the deal done) and could not speak with us until the next day... My family was at dinner without me so I could get the deal done... I will never again buy a Toyota due to my experience with the arrogance displayed at this dealership... I hope you don't either.

Asked for a quote through Edmunds. Only way they would quote is if I came in. I told them I didn't want to come in and they ignored my follow up emails. Other dealers had no problem quoting through email. I've bought at least 5 cars from this dealer over the years but haven't recently as their pushy sales tactics have turned me off. Not quoting through Edmunds just confirms they are not the kind of dealer I would want to go to anymore and do not recommend them.
