Started buying Hondas in 1999. Then in 2007, 2014 and now 2024. Have purchased all of them from Peter Schmidt. He has always "steered" us to the car we could afford and could use. Never trying to over-sell. Recommend him to other potential buyers.

This wasn't my first venture into the car-buying world, and initially, I was drawn to the idea of fulfilling my long-standing dream of owning a Cadillac. However, my experience at the Cadillac dealership was a stark contrast to what I encountered with Derrick. The team there seemed disinterested in assisting me, leaving me feeling unappreciated. On the contrary, Derrick's enthusiasm was palpable from the moment we connected. It was evident that he was a hard worker, and his commitment to helping customers like me was commendable. Despite the allure of the Cadillac, Derrick's work ethic and genuine efforts won me over. Over two years of navigating my indecision, Derrick remained patient and supportive. Ultimately, I opted for the Honda HRV EXL, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. It feels like a car tailored to my needs—perfectly sized, rugged, and equipped with advanced technology that complements my lifestyle. Every time I step into my HRV EXL, I'm reminded of the rewarding outcome that stems from hard work. I appreciate not only the value of the vehicle but also the luxury experience Derrick facilitated throughout the entire process. However, it's worth noting a minor issue with the front cupholders that occasionally allows liquid to splash onto the charging pad, a detail that might be worth addressing down the line. Nonetheless, my overall experience has been nothing short of exceptional, and I'm grateful to have shared this journey with a salesperson who truly recognizes and delivers on the value of both the vehicle and the customer experience.

I was completely unsure about any of the Honda vehicles meeting my needs. My salesmen was Derrick who showed me three vehicles made by Honda. There was absolutely no pressure and he was very pleasant. We drove the three vehicles and eliminated one. The two, that I was interested in, was explained in detail and he took into account the pro's & con's of my needs. I did make a purchase for a new Passport and I got exactly what I was looking for. Very pleased with the Cardinal Honda in Groton CT. and will recommend the dealership and Derrick.

Cameron was very easy to work with and made the buying experience so much easier. Buying a car should be exciting but it rarely is when having to haggle back and forth and then hope you’re walking away with a decent deal. There was no haggling at Cardinal Honda. This is actually the first dealership that offered to put a car up on a lift for us to look underneath the car. We didn’t feel like there was anything they were hiding or keeping from us. It was a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend the dealership. Will be going back there for my next purchase in a couple years. Thank you
