Great experience buying a used car

My wife and I worked with K.C. on buying a used car. We made an appointment with the dealership and everything was ready for us when we got there for the appointment. Once we decided to buy the car the process for signing papers and taking the car home went very smoothly. We are going to be shopping for used cars for our daughter in a few months and will definitely keep this dealership in mind when we are shopping.

Love my car! It’s the perfect family/mom car out there! It has enough room for all your needs! Love the third row seating and still have pleanty of truck space for stroller and groceries! Ordered a diagnostic Run on my 2019 Pickup Truck

After a week I was told that they had to do a whole bunch of work to determine why I had a little miss while idling. All I needed to know which I explained to the Service Dept. when I brought it in was which cylinder was causing the problem. Picked the Truck up and am taking it to another dealer.

Took my Bolt in for lithium-ion battery error. Needed to be replaced. Had trouble getting communication for a few days, but after that, communications were excellent. Explained everything & very responsive. Work was excellent.

Dear Chevrolet team, I regret to inform you I feel completely taken advantage of on my last visit. I came to you guys because I had just experienced a nightmare claims event and thought I would get the best professional help possible from you guys. I was let down when I drove off and part of my concerns with the tough steering seems to not be the alignment as anticipated. I still have a steering problem. I was also charged quit a bit for a rubber garment that was never actually installed. I feel like rather than helping me I was taken for more money to do breakers and rotors when that was just a reason to avoid my actual problems and sale me something I didn’t actually need or want but again; I was under the impression I would be receiving the best service possible. It’s not like I asked you guys to work on a Ford or any other manufacturer’s vehicle. I asked for expert help with my 2009 base corvette. Something that I feel lucky enough to enjoy and a family I thought I wanted to be part of but after my back to back bad shop experiences I’m not so sure anymore. There are other items I need to address. I also had a headlight replaced but for some reason there is a constant power source going to a running light that drained the battery dead to the point the car was inaccessible. The key port under the hatch seems to not operate on my car anymore so the only way to get to the interior of the car was by taking a tail light out and using a battery to supply power to open the trunk. Because I had to go through these steps twice before I figured out where the battery draw was coming from I must have blown a fuse on the two rear tail lights as now they are not working. I feel like this could have been avoided if I was given a walk around on the vehicle upon payment like when I came in and pointed out my issues. I may not have been so inclined to just jump in the car and drive home. I seriously thought I was taken care of but now my car has to sit on a trickle charge all day while the running light bulb stays lit. I feel played for a set of pads and rotors that now extremely Amoy me as I feel like the rear should be done too. To conclude, based on the nightmare experience I had previously gone through then for you guys to add on top of it I now have now power at the seat like I used to before the first shop and you guys didn’t even catch that or offer help on that problem? Like I said, I came to you guys for actual help I I don’t believe I got it one bit. The entire process seemed to be extremely rushed. Please let me know if you guys would be willing to give me one more chance to help me out rather than financially destabilizing me?

Service and Transmission

I took my truck in for a standard service and told the advisor that while towing a 3800lb trailer, I had a pop up on my display that said transmission fluid hot, idle engine. I let the engine idle, the fluid went back to 200 degrees from 250 and made it home. When it was in for service, the advisor said that the transmission fluid should be changed every 30K miles. When I picked it up he said all was good and don't stress and give it bad juju. I had that done, and the very next day my fluid was at 61degrees after 12hrs off, the next day was at 84 degrees after 12hrs and was never stable. I took it in to another dealer and ran a diagnostic test and now waiting for a transmission valve replacement, as well as filter and another flush. I wasted $400 on a flush I didn't need and now out more money for additional work even though the transmission is under warranty.

Headliner/windshield replacement

Bought a brand new 2023 Silverado pick up truck back in may 2023, first week I was driving it, it started raining there was water coming in through the windshield on the passenger side! Took about 2 months to get it repaired since there was miscommunication between the call center and the dealer! Finally got it in to repair waited 2 weeks for"parts" to come in windshield/ headliner, picked it up headliner was still stained from watermarks! They didn't even replace it! Now saying GM didn't want to replace it but had me waiting on parts! SMH so disappointed still waiting on a response to see if I can get a new headliner! Which they said it wasn't damaged clearly it's been raining for months out here with obvious water damage, manager tried to call me to make an appt to finally replace it the headliner after I told him what days I was available to come in, never got a response back!!! So unprofessional!

2020 Kia Niro with a dangerous chemical smell

On Wednesday, 8/23 I saw a 2020 Kia Niro Hybrid on the Sam’s Club website for car sales. I asked for the price. I got a text message from Braedon asking me if I’d like to come in for a test drive. I asked about the damage listed in the car fax and he sent me a video walking around the vehicle- but not showing the damage. I went in and took a test drive. I liked what I saw and put down a deposit. I told him the money transfer will hit my bank on Friday and that is when I could pick up the vehicle. He suggested I fill out most of the paperwork so pick up on Friday would be easier. So I did. I spoke to the finance person, Elisa and did more paperwork. I got my cashiers check, proper insurance completed. Braedon text me Friday 8/25 in the morning asking me what time I would be there, I said 11. When I got there I asked about a spare tire and a jack, Braedon told me that these cars don’t come with either. He also told me it had not been detailed, from Wednesday afternoon to Friday morning, the car had not been detailed. I saw Elisa again and finished my paperwork, gave her my cashiers check. I ended up sitting for an hour and a half waiting for my vehicle. I offered to take it dirty because I had things to do and was told since I already did most of the paperwork, I could leave quickly. When I finally got the car it smelled strongly of chemicals. I thought Braedon might have gotten gas on his shoes when he filled the tank. Later in the day a friend looked at the vehicle and said it was the cleaning solvent. I googled dealership solvents and the thing that smells is formaldehyde. Saturday morning I opened the door and the smell was so intense! I immediately send Braedon a text asking for a manager. Cameron -I assume is a manager- called me back and offered me a “shock” treatment. I picked up the shock treatment which smells like chlorine- another chemical like formaldehyde that is deadly to breathe. I used the shock treatment. Now my vehicle smells like formaldehyde and chlorine. I emailed the general manager, Brian Nicholson, Sunday and have yet to hear back. This morning, Monday 8/28, I sent Braedon multiple text messages and have not gotten a reply. I checked the paperwork and realized all the paperwork and the temporary plates say the vehicle is Black, this vehicle is pale silver. A police officer can pull me over thinking I have stolen the temporary plates.my next move is to email corporate and hit social media. I’ve gone from disappointment to disgusted.
