I walked away from signing a lease deal there because of the following: 1. I made an appointment with the internet sales person and said I wanted to deal directly with her. She said great, come on down. When I showed up at Prestige Imports (where her e-mail signature indicated she was located) she wasn't there - down at Hansel Mazda. They got her on the phone and she said someone would bring me down. (trap #1) 2. When I got down there, she didn't deal with me but kept me in the hands of the salesguy who drove me down there. He was kindly, but slow.... 3. I wanted to test drive the Mazda 3 s sport 5-door. There seemed to be a great deal of difficulty in locating one for me to drive. Took a long time.....never found one... took more time to locate keys..., so I drove a similar model (of course, a more costly model). Drove two difference cars. I was deciding between automatic and manual. Decided on automatic and was ready to make a deal. 4. I had prepared a folder with my credit rating, Edmunds quote for the model I wanted, had done my calculations on the Mazda website calculator for the lease terms. Another younger guy came in to make the deal, while salesman #1 sat there. He was okay with my info and saying I was a "smart consumer" but still tried to lock me in to a higher monthly payment and higher cash down payment. I was ready to leave once and the prices came down. They "called in some favors" on my trade-in vehicle and they were "not going to make anything on this sale". It got down to a decent deal, but when all was said and done, I didn't feel good about it. I was tired - it took too long....they could have easily made this sale in an hour and a half if they had been straight, if the appointment had been treated as an appointment and we got down to business quicker.
