I bought my BMW 325 XI from Sonnen in 2004. I had leased it before that. After I purchased it, I had to take my car into the shop almost every other month for three years. And each time I did, I was told that it's just wear and tear on the car -- that these sorts of problems are normal. What problems did I have. The biggest one was that lights on the dashboard always went out... I complained to BMW USA and to Sonnen Management and their answer was 'we will be happy to sell you a new car' if you want. I calculated that I spent approx. $3000 getting the car fixed and over 30 hours of wasted time, meaning I could not get to work. I also complained to BMW USA, but their response 'tough love' -- until I spoke to them for the 20th time and at that time, they said 'We will give you $3000 off if you buy a new car.' Isn't that kind of blackmail. I can only get money if I buy one of their cars which it turns out --- other people have been experiencing problems with wiring and the electrical stuff. I guess I should be focusing on Sonnen here. Their response has been 'corporate is telling us to do this.. to do that.. we can't do anything without their permission.' Guys, how about putting some skin in the game and taking care of your customers. In my company, they call this behavior 'learned helplessness.' There is abolutely no way I am going to buy a car from your sales guys after how I see management takes care of its drivers... Scott
