Terrible experience!

Awful awful awful. We bought a 2017 Ford Transit Cargo van and was told everything was in "tip top shape" with no recorded accidents or major services. Literally the day after we drove it off the lot the engine check light came on and we had to drive it 2 hours back to Salinas to get it fixed. They "fixed" it and then gave it back to us and once again, a day later the check engine light came on. This happened at least 4 times before the actual issue was fixed but then we noticed a lot of other things wrong with the van, bringing us to the conclusion that it might have been in an accident because we ended up with a very bad leak and the side door isn't even sitting flush, stuff you wouldnt know about until you actually drove it around for longer than 5 minutes. We are totally aware that if you buy a used vehicle, it is what it is, but we came to a Ford dealership purposely so we wouldn't be dooped by a mom and pop shop that just flip cars and you never know what you are buying. We thought we were dealing with professionals but instead our nightmares came to life as we were dooped into thinking this van was fixed before it was sold. It was not. We tried to go through the buy-back process but because it is used they wont buy it back and told us instead to take it to a judge which will only cost us money. We have had the van a total of maybe 5 days within a month and a half span and now they are telling us they wont help us any longer so this van has now become a money pit. DO NOT GO TO SALINAS VALLEY FORD because you will not know if they are actually selling you a car that works. STAY AWAY!!! Charlie the sales manager will pretend he is on your side. He isnt!

I was sold a Chevrolet 2500 HD truck used from Salinas Valley Ford, it had an aged smog certificate that was done in house, and I pre-dated my sales contract with the dealership so they wouldn't have to run the exhaust test again. Well that was a HUGE mistake. I go to get my vehicle registration redone in 2016 and find out that there is no catalytic converter on the system. I did not modify it, I did not have anyone modify it, and the truck has only had 12,000 miles on it since then. I haven't needed to do more than change the oil in it. I took it to the dealer and he offered to have me pay for replacing it all. I felt I was being taken advantage of, so I did not make a decision to have the work done by them. I looked to pursue other ways to have my vehicle be as described inn the purchase agreement.

Worth the drive

I originally selected Salinas Ford for my Fusion Hybrid even though it was over an hour away from home based on the specific vehicle I wanted being available there. However, I immediately was impressed with their responsiveness and professionalism, as exemplified by Iris Sullivan, our Sales Consultant. We did all our negotiations by email and phone, including receiving a trade in offer based on my description of the vehicles condition, etc. When I drove down to complete the sale, everything was as expected, with no last minute surprises. I would definitely recommend them, and I love the new Fusion.

I purchased a mustang 2015, service was great! I didn't have the stress and pressure that I have experienced in the past. Victor was great he just did what he needed to do and didn't pressure me. I pray he doesn't loose that as he matures in this business. Oscar was great as well. He did the paperwork in such a smooth peaceful manner I didn't seem to feel the reality of what was really taking place. My experience was awesome!!😊 thank you! I love my car.

I bought a Ford Escape. Actually I entered the store just to have a look but the sales person, Anahi, was the best sales person I had the chance to talk to in Salinas and Monterey area. She listened to what I was saying, what I was looking for and showed me the best options to meet my needs. She didn`t forced me to buy anything bigger/larger than what I needed and that was very important to build up the necessary trust you need when purchasing something with the value of a car. At the end, a car is not like a t-shirt that, if you do not like, you just return it the next day or you just buy another one... So, the sales person played a huge role in my decision. Sure the financing plan was also perfect but I`m the kind of consumer that values a lot human relationships. So, it was the best combination. In less than 24 hours I changed completely my initial ideal of what car to buy. Congratulations Ford and Anahi!!!!

I purchased a 2016 Ford Fusion Energi Titanium. I originally found the vehicle through the Costco program and the nearest location for the vehicle was approximately 40 miles away. After dealing with the other dealership and getting a price, I emailed the Salinas dealership to see if they could match the offer. They were able to do so and managed to get the same car that I test drove - so I was well aware of all the features of the vehicle (did my due diligence online before deciding on this vehicle). I dealt with Iris Sullivan and she gets high marks for customer service as well as the Financial Services Manager, David Shepherd. I was given a tour of the facility and where the service area was and introduced to the staff that was there. It was a delight to work with both Iris and David. I can't say enough good things about this dealership because of these two employees and I would highly recommend this dealership as well as the Ford Fusion Energi to anyone interested at taking a look at what Ford has to offer. Count me in as a very happy and satisfied customer.

I special ordered a 2015 Ford Focus. It took a couple of months to come in, when it did the service team let me know and were eager for me to see the car. I was happy with my order and the deal that we made. It has now been a couple of weeks that I have had the Focus and am really happy with it.

Smooth purchase of quality vehicle!

Enjoyed smooth business transaction with "Charlie" and "Josh". They had the financial institution lined up for me and reduced the price of the vehicle. Purchased a sparkling clean Ford 2014 Escape. Checked it out thoroughly when I arrived home and did a leak check on the whole vehicle. Only 1 small item seems to be a issue which I will address with the dealership later. Overall - excellent service and excellent communication w/ all team members.
