Last year we purchased a Certified used Toyota from Roseville Toyota we found online. The car seemed prefect for our elderly parents. It went downhill from there. We told them we would pay cash and there was no trade. They tried to get us to complete a full credit application and would not give us any price except full advertised. Only when we were ready to leave did they let us make a offer without going through all of their hoops. The offer was accepted but they did not give an out the door price. During the F & I session about $250 fees (other than license, tax, doc, etc) were included and deleted only when we threatened to walk. It now about 3 hours after we walked on the lot. When it came to delivery they could not get rid of us fast enough. We assumed they would have used some of the three hours getting the car ready. It was dirty (food between front seats, stains on mats and seats, etc) missing parts (no jack, no owners manual) and only had one key. Everything except the key are check off items on the Certifed many point inspection. A reasonable person might assume the Certified label would mean the items were actually checked and correct as necessary. When we left the sales manager that approved our offer said it would be taken care of. It sounded like “the check is in the mail.” After many calls (some returned in timely manner, some not at all) and almost a month the car was clean and complete like it should have been at delivery. Only the person in parts seemed to care about taking care of us in a way that would make us want to come back. Base on our experience I would not buy another Certified used car or deal with Roseville Toyota. When we replace our 4Runner with another Toyota a few months later we did not consider going back to Roseville Toyota.
