Ihave a 2005 Hyundai Sonata. I trusted in them to take care of my care since 2004 when I bought it. Last year before I hit my 60,000 miles, my car's transmission was sticking. I took it in and let Mike know. After they took a look at it he said nothing was wrong and that all of the Hyundai's do it after awhile???? I told him that sounded crazy and didn't like it. I told Mike from Doten that my transmission better not have problems later because I was under warranty and thought they were lying so I wouldn't get it replaced. I warmed my car up more than normal and figured it would just pass. Since then I have had regular service by them and paid the $700 for their 60,000 mile service in the beginning of the year and they still said everything was okay. Last week my check engine light came on so I took it to another Hyundai shop closer to my job. Crazy news.....they said it was on because I need a new TRANSMISSION. Go figure that out. Now at 79,000 miles after my warranty I hear this. Write about now it is either their service that is doing shady stuff or Hyundai Sonata's a bad car. I have had many cars and drove them all over the country and never had to replace a transmission this early. The manager had the nerve to tell me things happen. So basically he too is saying Hyundai's a [violative content deleted]. Good luck, hope you don't have problems with them telling you the truth.
