Santiago and Derek were amazing. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and very transparent about the whole process. The environment is not your typical car salesman which is great.

I Got It Right the First Time: By Purchasing my SUV from STG Auto Group

by Brenda M on 04/18/2021

My sales consultant, Dominique, was excellent in the handling of my vehicle purchase, from start to finish. He treated me like his very own family. And the management team were very nice and knowledgeable and compassionate about their work. If you want to get it right the first time, please go to STG Auto!

Frank Talk

by hyperchris on 01/13/2020

I like it when I can show up with my information and they take it seriously and then together we look at the numbers. The sales manager walked me through what other sites were charging for that car and we talked about it and came to a deal.

They Almost Had It Right...

by jochriswhite17 on 12/03/2019

So now that I'm gone from the dealership, I'm going to leave an honest review. I'm going to start off with the positives before I even get into the negatives; so please read closely because I WANT YOU GUYS TO BE PREPARED. The car that I purchased from STG Auto is one that I'm more than happy with. So long as you have your financing situation lined up before you sit down with them, they do a great job at getting you in and out of there. None of that waiting around for six hours going back and forth with a salesman type nonsense. The salesmen themselves seem like fairly decent dudes as well. Now for the negatives. When we sat down to go over the price breakdown for my car I noticed that it was a lot more expensive then it really should have been. In one of the columns there was additional charges for "aftermarket parts". The first one being a subscription based GPS service for $1500 and the second was window tint for $495. When I demanded to opt out of these options the manager told me that these "already come with the car". So what that actually means is that they install these "options" on the car already and then sneak it into the contract so that you're left with no choice but to buy them. In the original listing there was never a single mention in the 'Options' tab that this GPS service or window tint was pre-installed. I asked the manager, to show me on the website listing where these options were mentioned. He begrudgingly spent a substantial time on the computer tracking down where it mentions these options. HERE'S THE SNEAKY SIDE OF THEIR BUSINESS. Within the fine print at the bottom of the listing page, in a very clever and underhanded manner they mention that "ALL PRICES ARE FINAL PLUS ANY AFTERMARKET WHEELS, LIFT KITS, LOWERING KITS, TINT, ACCESSORIES, PRE-INSTALLED THEFT DETERRENT DEVICES, DOC PREP FEES, SMOG FEE, SALES TAX, DMV LICENSE FEES, REGISTRATION FEES, SMOG CERTIFICATE FEE...CALL DEALER FOR MORE INFORMATION AND DETAILS." Now is that ambiguous or what? Why would anyone look at a section regarding the options on a car, in a section that is formatted to look like the fine print( I know for a fact that YOU, the reader, does not read the fine print word for word in your daily ordeals, so don't roast me for that one) that we all just glance and skip over? When you try to opt out they will try to give you some sob story about how "we list cars below market value and these aftermarket options are the only way we make a profit", don't fall for it because it's probably nonsense. If these expensive OPTIONS were listed in the OPTIONS tab like how they should have been, then there wouldn't be a problem. But since they embrace a culture of deceit they create adversarial customers. Before I even walked into the dealership I had a a number in mind that I was satisfied with paying. So I was able to get that ridiculous $1500 GPS knocked down to $800, and the $495 window tint down to $240. After that, the car totaled out to the exact price I wanted and now I'm happy. In closing, DO NOT LET THEM TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR IGNORANCE. They will definitely bring their prices down on these sneaky pre-installed options. Just don't get caught off guard and expect for used car salesman to be altruistic.

Good selection mediocre experience

by 2018NissanLeafSvUsed on 06/19/2019

This is exactly what I would expect from a used car lot. If you can deal with the sales pitches and 'deals', you can get what you want. I'm a cash buyer with previous experience both in the auto industry and with this Make/Model in particular. Pros: Good selection and very attractive cars on site. Good online demeanor Nice complimentary beverages Dedicated manager We got the car a the listed price Cons: Electric car was nowhere near fully charged when we arrived for the test drive Asked to write a review after 3 hours in dealership and no lunch for us(poor planning on our part). Seems to be a warranty insurance office with a high overhead. The manager had to do 'everything' related to the deal Push: I don't think I communicated clearly that I was going to pay cash/debit card. They ran a credit check that was unnecessary. Miscommunication on both sides fwiw. Our very nice sales rep was on the job for only one month. We arrived at our appointed time after an initial electronic conversation. The sales rep was cordial, and quiet during the test drive. I asked a few questions during the drive that the rep couldn't answer. He was new, but no one prepped him for the drive or with any relevant details on the inventory. After we got back and said we were interested, the manager came in an offered us a deal that was over $6k more than the advertised price due to dealer options like an extended warranty, an anti-theft package, and an extended exterior warranty. That offer was refused as it was an extra 25% of the listed price. A second deal was presented with the unwanted anti-theft package. I don't believe Leafs are as high a theft car as Accords or Camrys so I refused again. The manager at this point tried to point out some item(disclaimer?) on his site that said dealer options were extra. His site and Edmunds listed the exact same price. At that point, I indicated I didn't want any options and I was willing to go. Finally the dealer came back with the offer I wanted - car + taxes and title. We were presented and started filling in financing forms for some reason. I don't think I was clear enough about paying cash with no financing and it wasn't until they got to the fill in references part that we stopped the process and clarified how we wanted to pay for the vehicle. Payment was taken, forms were signed and we went to find lunch and a chargepoint station to fill our new car and kill some time before the long drive home to the San Fernando Valley; from Orange County to the SFV is about an hour during the best of traffic. The day was grueling but we got the deal(dealer list + taxes & fees) and the car we wanted.
