Warranty Repairs

Dealership did warranty repairs on two of my vehicles and I must say they very honest and truthful about both repairs. I received a rental vehicle for both repairs and they were done in a timely manner. Service Rep Angela Perez did a great job of getting the motor replacement job done on my Sonata in a timely manner

Boycott Puente Hills Hyundai

I originally wanted to wait and buy a Hyundai Sonata close to the end of the year. Puente Hills Hyundai dealer lured me in by promising an out-of-door price in writing. Then one hour prior to my appointment, which is supposed to finalize the deal, they texted me and said they could not honor the price. When I arrived the dealership, they told me how unattainable the price that they promised in the email was, and tried to sell me at a higher price. It is the classic bait and switch technique. When I tried to tell the finance manager, who I believe was also the owner, that I did not like the sales tactic that they used. He said "Who promised this? I am going to fire him." I was speechless. He then went on, "You just got him fired." I said that I was going to file complaints about this practice. He was enraged. He said "This is my shop, and no one threatens me. Not you, not Trump." I was clueless as to why he brought up this name. In short, this individual has no ethics, and shameless. In my email with Robert Jefferson, he mentioned that he got approval of the name of the director, so it is highly likely that he was merely under the direction of his superior. If you are also abused by this dealership, contact Hyundai, BBB, Consumer Protection Agency, California Attorney General, DMV, and tell your friends and families NEVER buy from this dealership. Their mere existence is a shame,

STAY AWAY!

STAY AWAY! [non-permissible content removed]. Bait and switch tactics. I had a deal worked out with another dealer even though my first choice of color was not available there. A few hours before going there I received an email from Angelica with a price that was a little lower and she said they had the car in the color I wanted, in stock. I call Angelica and she confirms they have the car and I get there in 45 minutes. I have my wife drop me off there and spent the next hour waiting as they tried to find car in the color I was told they had. The manager Justin came back and said it was sold in the morning. I spent the next hour with Justin talking about different options on me getting the car in that color. He said he could transfer it in from a sister store and would take another $100 off for my inconvenience and I could buy it the next day. I asked him to write the new negotiated amount down. Since I was dropped off I had to take a Lyft home. Justin said he would call me the next day at around noon with an update. The next day, I call around 1pm and ask for Justin and they tell me he's not working today. I'm like WHAT?!?! Angelica then tells me the True Car manager, Yasser, wants to talk to me. Yasser calls me back and proceeds to tell me that I have to pay $700 more for the car with my color choice because the base price is higher. It's the exact same car but with a higher base price. I tell him that the other manager Justin wrote down the negotiated price for me but Yasser says he has to sign off on it and he won't honor it. I tell him that it's not my problem your cost is higher, I had worked out a price for this model of a particular color and I was to buy it at that price. He tells me it is my problem and the price is $700 more if I want that color. This whole time I'm upset and talking sternly (not even raising my voice) and not cursing and he all of a sudden tells me to watch my language! Wow! After this sh*t he pulled I can't believe he said something like that!?! So I wasted 2 hrs of my time in the dealership and spent $20 on Lyft just to be lied to. Let this be a lesson for others, STAY AWAY!

my sales exp

I purchased the Elantra Value Edition at Puente Hills Hyundai because it was the only place that had the car in stock. Alex greeted me promptly at my appointment time and was extremely polite. He pulled out the vehicle upfront for the test drive and he thoroughly explained my questions about the car. I really appreciated the time he spent with me because this was my first first time looking a Hyundai. Then, he took me to Fred and I got the car for $21,595 but the fact that I got incentives on a "rare" car was a big plus. The reason I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars is because I was there for a ridiculous six hours. I understand it was a busy day but that was way longer than I expected and was told by Alex.

Sale Dept.

On 12/02/2013, I purchased a new 2013 Hyndai Elantra at Puente Hills Hyundai for $25,930 and of course I was treated excellently during the purchase. Unfortunately, the next day I was forced to return the car because the sunroof would not close. I dropped off my new car at the service department the next morning and the service department could not complete the repairs with promised so I was forced to rent a car and paid for rental car insurance on my own expense. I am very disappointed because I could not believe that my brand new car was in the service department. I took the problem to the Sales Manager, Fred S., to better understand why a brand new car would have such a failure. What a mistake that was! All I got from Fred was his disrespect and sarcasm. He was laughing at me that I paid $10 for rental car insurance because I have full coverage. I expected a much higher level of service from your company, and I am quite disappointed. Then Fred walked me over to the Customer Relations, Kelly C., who thought she would smooth things over by offering me a free oil change. Since oil changes are included with the purchase of the car services, I can only conclude from her offer that Kelly was having a good laugh at my expense, just hours of the purchase. Kelly also offered me half a tank of gas and commented that this offer would be good enough for her if this happened to her. She also told me that “it was very common for customer to receive a brand new car with a technical problem”. Was this how you train your Customer Relations to treat a repeated customer? I denied all the offer. Here’s the bottom line; from this day forward I will share with as many people as I can the treatment I received at your dealership. I will tell my experience, at the bank, the grocery store, at YOUR dealership while I am waiting for you to change my oil, at the dentist and any and everywhere else I am waiting where there are people. And of course it goes without saying that I will never buy another car from Puente Hills Hyundai, ever. You should also understand that our other car is a Mercedes and that I can afford much more car than a Hyundai. I choose Hyundai because of my past experience with the service I received as a customer and the reliability of the car. After this experience I can no longer recommend Hyundai as a reliable car or a place that I would do business in the future. I understand I will be getting a survey from Hyundai Corporation? I will attach this letter with an unfavorable survey response. I will also seek help from a consumer protection agency or Better Business Bureau.

Edmunds Internet Purchase

I've just recently purchased a car for my daughter through Edmunds internet sales. Our experience has been straight forward. After getting quotes from several dealers, the ones contacted by Edmunds, Puente Hills gave me the lowest bid. They even have the base model without any options, not like the other internet sales told me all cars come with options. My daughter picked up the color and the options that she wanted, and the internet sales manager actually pulled the carout before she arrived. She paid exactly what the quote was, not a penny more. I've bought over a dozen cars over my life time, the last several purchases had been internet sales. My general experience with internet experience has been great.

Good Dealer to do business with

I was looking at an Elantra GT, and actually ended up purchasing a Sonata at a better deal. They gave me a very fair deal, below Edmunds TMV, and treated me fairly. There was the usual haggling process much like any dealer, but it was done with respect. Overall, this is a solid dealership.

They lied about their inventory causing me to drive a long way and waste my time. They did not honor their price quote. The process took hours, even though it did not complete. They bait and switched salespeople. As someone else reviewed, The Good Old Days of Bad Car Sales Tactics. Hardin Hyundai on the other hand, was fantastic.

Bad experience

Sales are [violative content deleted], they will not honor what they have in there advertise, and also very misleading, and seems like bait and switch. Sales manager is even worst, seems like take it or leave it attitude. No wonder why the dealer has no customer when i got there, sales are BS, nothing can be trusted.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH RUDE SALESPEOPLE!

Being an Elite Yelper, I have already wrote an extensive review about my experience at this dealership. Please search for Christy L. and look for Puente Hills Dealership. Not only was my actual experience terribly bad but to make matters worse, one of the sales lady has the nerve to post FAKE reviews on Yelp just to make herself look good again after my unbias opinions dealing with her for almost a month. She and other staff members had the nerve to send me rude emails accusing me of being a liar. These people promised me two major installations during the initial signing of my agreement. The pushy sales person named FRED sold me a vehicle without the two items and PROMISED me that it will get installed without any promised in about a week. I had to deal with these incompetent immature unprofessional people who lied, raised their voice at me, mistreated me AND made it sound like I'm making them go out of their way by giving me something that I have already paid for. On top of all that, they changed their promise by trying to NOT even give me one of the items that I had already paid for. What a bunch of [violative content deleted]!!!! I mean, are salespeople really [violative content deleted]? I'm greatly disappointed in both Hyundai corporate AND this PH dealership for making a customer who shouldn't have gone through all this bad experience still unhappy. If you had wasted 2 days going out of your way to fight for what you've already paid for because the dealership won't give it to you, wouldn't you be mad? Wouldn't you want them to compensate for your loss of personal income for being an independent contractor? I had to cancel my appointments just so that these lazy incompetent [violative content deleted] won't end up pocketing the money that I've spent on the product! And they had the nerve to tell me that I should be happy now that I finally got what I asked for......uh, excuse me but all you FINALLY gave me after I begged was something I had already paid for a month ago! I have ZERO patience for [violative content deleted]!

The worst dealership I have ever encountered

I have bought many cars, both new and used, and my experience at Puente Hills Hyundai was the worst. Carlos Corona, the AAA contact at the dealership, contacted me and set up an appointment to test drive the car and get pricing information. I went to the dealership and test drove the car. After the test drive, I asked Mr. Corona to provide me with the “Auto Club Pricing Agreement and invoice for new cars” as described in the email I received from AAA. For some reason, Mr. Corona kept trying to change the subject and asked me what price I was looking for to make the deal. I repeated my request to see the paper work and he kept stalling. He kept telling me to go price shopping first and he would match the lowest price I found. I told him I don’t play that game because there is no incentive for him to give me his best price and it wouldn’t be fair to the dealer that does offer the best price. Eventually he went to the sales office and left me alone for 10 minutes. While he was in the sales office, another salesman approached me and asked me what I was looking for. I told him I was working with Mr. Corona and he said he was busy in the sales office. The sales office has glass walls and I could see Mr. Corona sitting there, not doing anything. The new guy tried every dirty hard sale trick in the book. He asked me to forget about the AAA pricing because he can give me a better price. I asked him how if he is not willing to show me the AAA pricing. He said don’t worry, his price is much better than AAA’s price. He gave me a ridiculously low price, but refused to put it on paper. It was obvious this was a low-ball offer. Eventually Mr. Corona came out and asked me what I wanted to do. I repeated my request to see the AAA pricing and he refused, telling me he couldn’t do that because I wasn’t ready to buy the car that. I was so mad I walked out of the dealership, but came back in and went straight to the receptionist. I asked to speak with the general manager, but since she wasn’t there, I was referred to Brian, the sales manager. I went to his office and asked why Mr. Corona doesn’t want to provide me with AAA pricing. He asked Mr. Corona and he said he was printing it. What they showed me was a list of models with the AAA discount. He said the AAA discount for the 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe was $350 under invoice and there was no discount for the 2012. I asked him what the invoice was and got upset and accused me of trying to drag this thing on. How am I supposed to know what the invoice it? Isn’t it their job to provide that information? Overall, I wasted over an hour of my time and at the end I DID NOT receive the AAA pricing for that car. I should have paid attention to all the negative feedback for this dealership when I was doing my research online. I assumed since they were AAA affiliated, I could trust them to be honest with me. I guess I was wrong. I went to Hardin Hyundai just a few miles away from Puente Hills and had the exact opposite treatment. Mr. Steve Cooke was a gentleman and after my test drive, he gave me a printout of all the Genesis Coupes they had in stock including invoice price, MSRP, and the dealership discount. There was no pressure to sell and I left the dealership with a smile on my face and will definitely buy my Hyundai from them. I was planning to call the general manger and voice my complaint, but I don’t want to waste my time on those people. I hope my experience will trigger some kind of action by AAA, resulting in better treatment of potential customers. I don’t want anyone wasting their time on this dealership.

Be cautious if you're condering buying

I told a PH Hyundai sales that I was interested in the Sonata GLS model with popular package, and the price I was offered by another dealership, see if PH Hyundai can match it. He wrote the information down on a piece of paper and asked his sales manager. The manager agreed to sell. So I filled out the paper works. Unfortunately they didn't have that particular model on that day. They asked me to wait for a couple of days for their next shipment to come in. So I went in 2 days later when they had the car. The manager who agreed to sell at the matched price was not there on this day. So I spoke with a different sales manager, and told him about the deal we had. He totally refused to sell at the agreed upon price. So I spoke with the dealership owner. He also refused. And told me that the agreed upon price was invalid because it was only verbal. Please be very cautious if you're considering buying from Puente Hills Hyundai.

What an asset for your dealership!

A few weeks after the purchased of my 2011 Sonata Limited, a leased one, I discovered that there was a section damaged near the front tire by the passenger side, deep scratches and paint chipped. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and called management at Puente Hills. I was contacted by Kelly Chacon and she arranged to meet up with me a couple of days later. I was given a loan car for the weekend until the car was fixed. I was overwhelmed by the outstanding service she has given me and I like to thank her very much. She is very friendly, personable, and also professional. What an asset for your dealership of have her! I certainly will recommend your dealership to all my friends.

I wanted to share my thoughts about John Madarang. Mr. Madarang and I started corresponding via email about my potential purchase of a 2011 Hyundai Elantra. Since our first email/phone conversation Mr. Madarang was friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. He made my husband and I feel like we had known him for years. He was very easy to talk to and offered as much detail as possible about all of the cars we were interested in. Over the past few weeks we visited several dealerships, but John made our decision about who we wanted to purchase from very easy. He walked us through the entire process and was very accomodating the entire time. It is employees like Mr. Madarang that make the car buying experience a pleasant one. Thanks to him, we will make Puente Hills Hyundai our dealership of choice and will make sure to refer friends and family to your location. Great dealership...but greedy.

I am all for businesses making money. It's called free enterprise, but when a dealer gets greedy, it can cost them a customer and the referrals that could have been created. I wanted to buy a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Ltd. with Navigation. They had the car I wanted and eventually gave me a quote, which was approximately $1000 less than the sticker price and WOULD NOT budge. I really wanted the car, but I decided to do a little shopping around at other dealers and ended up buying the exact same car in the color I wanted for over $1000 less. You would think a dealership selling over 300 cars per month as I was told by a "floor manager" would be able to discount their vehicles more since they would have a greater amount of holdback, to get the sale and the good will, but they weren't willing to negotiate. I would have loved to do business with this dealership because the salesperson was friendly and didn't try to pressure us to buy when I told him there were some other makes and models I wanted to try first, to make sure the Sonata was what I wanted. I would very much recommend this dealer to my friends, but only if they adjusted their prices to what 3 other dealers were willing to sell me my car for. I ended up getting my car at the dealership that got the one I wanted in first, that was willing to sell it for a price I was willing to pay. I'm glad for the two reviewers that are so happy with their purchases, but I can almost assure them they paid more than they needed to. As to the reviewer claiming the dealership to be dishonest, I can't comment on that.

Amazing experience!

I have had such a great experience here. When I bought my car, I had everyone involved. The salesperson, the sales manager, and the customer service manager, I even got to meet the GM! The sales managers were so helpful, they made sure I got everything I needed in my car. The salesperson was great, he let me test drive 4 different coupes before I chose mine! AMAZING! I have taken my car back for it's first service and I wasn't charged anything and my car was washed! Just outstanding service. I have never experienced better service from a car dealership and that's why I will always keep going back for any of my vehicle needs!

I love my Sonata. I was treated very well, the salespeople were very patient and polite. I felt very comfortable with the price and they made my monthly payment affordable. I have been back several times for the free car wash, free hot dogs and popcorn. Lynn Johnson and Justin Kil are amazing, all the dealership personnel is very friendly and helpful. dishonest salesmen

stay away from puente hills hyundai. i had heard that their salesmen are dishonest, and i experienced it myself. they gave me a quote. when i went into the dealership they did not have the car, even though they said they had it on the lot.
