Rav 4 purchase experience

Our initial contact was via email w/ Eddie - online sales. No Rav 4s were available so we planned a trip for the following day to put down a deposit for one in transit. Our initial experience wasn't that good. We felt there was miscommunication and possibly incorrect info given. Eddie was not available but he set us up with Robert in sales to proceed. We were upset by a few things but one was add ons (extra cost) which were not added yet. That and being told a few things that didn't sit right we did put a deposit down, on a different vehicle. I contacted Mr Cash a manager at the dealership to express my concerns. The reason for my 5 Star review is because of how he handled my concerns. Sometimes things happen but in the end its all about how it was handled. His actions kept our sale going forward. He also did something even better and let me know of another Rav 4 similar to the one we put a deposit down that just arrived. We have bought several new cars in our adulthood and though it's a tedious and time consuming event, it wasn't quite smooth sailing. But again Mr Cash made things right so we aren't docking any stars here since he made customer satisfaction a priority. Although we initiated our sales process with Eddie via email/phone, we finished all of our sales needs with Robert. He didn't rush us. He was patient. He tried initially finding us a vehicle that would suit us. He definitely put in the work. Back to our initial visit when we were putting our deposit down, we felt the 2 finance guys were definitely not helpful and was where most of our concerns began. As we wrapped up our sale we were dealing with Nick and Eleno in financng.. Both were patient and brought a happy vibe and sense of humor to the table...which helped during the long process. Although we had a few issues in the beginning which ultimately may have lost them a sale my review is an honest one based off of our experience. Sometimes in the end it's about customer satisfaction and how concerns are handled. I also would like to add that Robert was on top of following through with a few things that came up.

Dealing with Jose and Rodney was amazing. There was absolutely zero pressure. The need for negotiations or haggling was not there. Was looking to possibly get myself the GR Corolla. Luck would have it, Autonation was getting one. I worked with Robert and he was of great help in me getting a deal I could be happy with. Seeing as I didn’t need the car, he still went above and beyond what most salesmen would do with a high demand vehicle and the price I wanted. Poor service department -2015 Toyota Tacoma

I had an after purchase (within the 90day warranty) done and it was discovered that both control arms and brake rotors needed to be replaced. After much ‘discussion’ the service department finally approved the repairs. DO AN INDEPENDENT PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION. Because I don’t live in Tempe, the work was done by AutoNation Honda Tucson. They did a great job.

Horrible experience

We recently purchased a RAV4 from AutoNation Toyota Tempe, expecting a smooth transaction and top-notch customer service. However, what ensued was a series of frustrating encounters that left a bitter taste in our mouths. To begin with, as my daughter excitedly drove the car off the lot, we noticed not one, not two, but three cracks in the windshield. This was not the auspicious start we had hoped for. Despite bringing this to the attention of the dealership, it felt like pulling teeth to get any acknowledgment, let alone a resolution. The next hurdle came when the salesperson insisted I needed to present insurance for the car before they would finalize the sale. Per Arizona state law, insurance is automatically extended for seven days after purchasing a new vehicle. However, despite this, the dealership adamantly claimed I had no insurance coverage, contradicting the state regulations. It was an unnecessary and frustrating ordeal, wasting both time and energy. Furthermore, when we traded in a vehicle without the title on hand, we were assured by the dealership that it wouldn't be an issue. They confidently stated they could handle obtaining the title themselves. Yet, just a week later, the sales manager called to inform us that we were responsible for obtaining the title. This sudden change in stance was bewildering and infuriating, especially after their initial assurance. The situation escalated when we began receiving incessant calls from the dealership, demanding the title. Despite repeatedly assuring them that we would provide it and requesting they cease calling, the calls persisted, as if they were playing a game of cat and mouse. It was unprofessional and left us feeling harassed and undervalued as customers. Even today, as I sought an update on the car tags, the dealership provided misleading information, claiming they had completed all necessary steps on their end. However, upon contacting the relevant authorities, it became evident that this was not the case, further highlighting the dealership's incompetence and lack of integrity. In conclusion, our experience with AutoNation Toyota Tempe has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the initial cracks in the windshield to the ongoing saga of the title and registration, it's clear that this dealership prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction. I would strongly advise against anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from them, as they have demonstrated a blatant disregard for customer service and integrity.

So great I drove 1745 miles to buy a van from them

I live in Wisconsin but have family in the Phoenix area. There are no Siennas available in my area so I called to see if they had any Toyota Siennas coming in with the trim and package I was looking for. Not only did AutoNation have the exact van I was looking for, but Gabriel Hosler was absolutely fantastic to work with. He was honest and made the process of buying a car from out of state as easy as possible. I was planning on buying a new van but Gabriel got me into a super low-mileage used van and saved me $15,000 in the process. I flew down last week and picked it up and it is even better than I could have imagined. Exactly what I was looking for and he even gave us recommendations for where to get the best street tacos in the area when we were done.
