Buyer beware!

On January 14th my daughter and I went to Camelback Hyundai to look at getting her a replacement vehicle after an accident. We were helped by Carlos who was friendly and took the time to answer any questions we had. We sat down and negotiated a deal on a new Elantra. It was a pretty good experience until we hit the finance stage. When we sat down to sign the papers we were first shown a contract that had my daughter's name on it but showed the payment being about $50 higher than we had negotiated. When questioned about this, they were able to "find" the correct paperwork. We continued through the process and were asked to sign a second contract, for a different amount, in case they weren't able to approve my daughter's college graduate discount. The next day we set about gathering documentation from Arizona State University which would qualify her for the discount . The finance department was provided with my daughter's transcript and a letter stating that she is due to graduate in May (well within the 6 month requirement to qualify for the discount) and were assured that everything looked good. On January 16th we received a message stating that the discount was denied and asked if she wanted to proceed without the discount. I guess what I would like people to learn from my experience is that you need to read your paperwork very carefully, especially at this dealership, and be cautious about discounts you are promised. If they are unable to qualify my daughter, who is in her last semester and has a cumulative gpa of 4.17, for a discount which she is qualified, things look pretty bleak for everyone. Buyer beware!

A few days ago, Camelback Hyundai Sales Agent Nikki Josephs, showed herself to be the most accommodating salesperson. Her and financial staff member "Tommy" showed me that with my credit score of 720, I could turn in my 2015 Hyundai Sonata SE with 35,000 miles on it, for a 2018 Hyundai Elantra with 300 miles on it, they would absorb more of the negative equity and lower my monthly payment from $550.02 I had been paying for the Hyundai Sonata SE down to $488 for this new Hyundai Elantra (with the "GAP" warranty). I was persuaded, entered into the contract, and I am pleased with the new purchase.

Looked on Edmunds for a vehicle found the one I liked received a call from Tammy , we scheduled appointment for the next morning and just like that I was able to leave in my new car.... Tammy was very pleasant to work with . I recommend this dealership and Tammy.

I am so happy with my experience, I was really hesitant on coming in. But once I came Carlos greeted me at the door and was very proffesional. It wasnt a long day at all because we had spoke over the phone before so he knew what I wanted and it was pretty easy. I LOVE MY ACCENT !!!! She was very kind, professional, and helped me with all the questions i had because i have never purchased a car before. I highly recommend Dana and Camelback Hyundai to make your next car purchase.

Love cars / hate Dealerships : Worst experience Today @ Camelback Hyundai Motors in Phoenix, Az. On Camelback Road in Phoenix. I was prepared to leave today with a specific vehicle / model after weeks of searching and a price guarantee + providing them all info on trade in vehicle. The Dealership assigned me to this Sales " kid " that kept asking me unnecessary questions for over 3 hours After driving the car, when I had a (*guaranteed price ) before coming in . I am extremely light sensitive, and they were not at all accommodating, I had to step out to walk off a migraine brought on by the bright lights. A private office with lights off would have prevented that. I even asked, explaining my dis -ability. He then added over $10k on the back of an envelope To INCLUDE the trade in, and dared to want to deduct the tow it needed into the dealership / I.e (charge me for it). They would not honor Blue book value on my trade in vehicle, nor show me an "alleged " copy report claim of accident on said vehicle. I have no knowledge of that and requested report/ proof . A True bait & switch !!! Such lack of integrity , I am so very disappointed and discouraged . Extremely disrespectful to a female customer . YES - I did say that ! There were over 5 other men in the main office, obviously that could have stepped in if they wanted the business instead of playing games. I had to repeat myself my original price range/ offer - He did not seem to understand I say what I mean the first time. As I was leaving, exhausted, he thanked me for wasting his time and day rather loudly when I walked out of the room . Disgusting behavior for a young employee or a man ( ? ) of any age. They will NEVER get my business. Lost a sale today, and reference. * They actually wrote down a fee to charge me for AIR already in the tires on the new vehicle I was considering buying, written on the back of an envelope. Don't buy a Santa Fe ! You will get taken .

I purchased a car from the folks at Camelback Hyundai and was very impressed with their professionalism and customer service. My sales person's name was Andrew and he was very patient with me and let me test drive several cars before deciding on on the Tucson. I got a fair price right away which has never been the case with past purchases. I look forward to continuing to do business with them.

My wife and I drove to Camelback Hyundai from Tucson based on prices that we negotiated over the phone. We were in the market for a certified Hyundai Sonata and they happened to have one that fit our budget. We worked with Sam on the prices and payments and he even gave me a ballpark on what they would give me for our current car that we were looking to trade. The numbers and car was perfect for our needs and we were very pleased with their honesty.

I bought a car from Sam this weekend and the whole process could not have been more seamless. I had already talked numbers on the phone and came to an agreement prior to my test drive. I was desperate to get out of my old car and into something newer with less problems, but I knew it would be hard since my credit isn't any good. I called camelback hyundai about a car they had listed online and told them about my history but they were able to get me approved by three different places! I was shocked. I was able to get out of my old car into a BRAND NEW car for only $15 dollars more a month than I was paying. I have literally told everyone I know about this place. They helped me when I thought there was no hope and I couldn't be happier!

If you are shopping for a Hyundai, make this your first stop and go see Jeff. I made the mistake of shopping elsewhere before coming here and it was a nightmare. This staff is not only fun, they are straight shooters and don't waste your time like the other guys. My purchase at Camelback was fast and easy without the drama.

Camelback Hyundai really wanted my business and claimed they offered the lowest price in the Phoenix area. I had decided on another dealership and called just to let the salesman I had been working with that I was no longer interested. His manager called me a few minutes later and made me an offer I literally couldn't refuse. It was for a 2016 Sonata and the price he offered was $1800 below what I was planning to pay. I was skeptical but showed up and they honored the price - including all the dealer-added accessories. There was some subtle pressure regarding purchasing an additional warranty and using the Hyundai automatic payment plan, but when I said no, they accepted it. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and respectful. I have on problem recommending this dealership - just know your facts and know what you want.

I contacted Camelback Hyundai regarding a car they had listed online. Unlike most dealers I have dealt with that say "Yeah, we have the car! Come on down.... " they were honest and told me that they didn't have that particular one (as they had just sold it) but many others like it. I went down the very next day and fell in love with a completely different vehicle after the salesman, Andrew took the time to show me a few other options. I am a proud owner of a Sante Fe (not a Tucson) and look forward to working with this group again.

Camelback Hyundai has restored my faith in the car dealerships! I was in the market for a Hyundai Sonata and had corresponded with a few dealerships regarding their inventory and financing options through email but was immediately annoyed with their nonstop calls and emails. I impulsively pulled into Camelback Hyundai the other day on my way home from work and was impressed with their professionalism and laid back atmosphere. It was nothing like the pressuring emails/phone calls I had received from the "other guys". Instead they sat me down, asked me what I was looking for in a car and budget wise and let me test drive three different cars that would meet my needs but not break the bank. I was so happy with my experience that I purchased a Hyundai Sonata that night! My salesman, Andrew couldn't have been more professional and patient with me. Thank you to the whole team at Camelback Hyundai!
