Go somewhere else

This is the worst place to buy a car from. I bought a new car from them in late 2015. In early 2016, the front tow hitch cover literally fell off of the car, nowhere to be seen. I have been trying to contact them for months about such a simple issue, with no response. This is a sorry excuse for a dealership, and because of the organization of the company, they have an effective monopoly for the Birmingham area. MY recommendation: spend an extra day and go to Atlanta for your BMW needs.

340i Xdrive Order

Great experience from beginning to end. Ordered a 340 from Germany arrived in 5 weeks (1 week earlier than stated). I was kept up to date on progress. Anything you need Birmingham BMW will do their best to accommodate. Love the car!

I have been here twice to look at and drive a car I was interested in purchasing. On both occasions I was unfortunate enough to land salesmen who treated me in an offensive manner. While it's almost unfathomable, I experienced both gender and weight discrimination at this dealership. Needless to say, I will not be buying my car from them.

DO NOT TRUST TOM WILLIAMS BMW

I contacted Pam with Tom Williams BMW on 1/16. During our conversation, I told her that I was relocating to NYC and had received offers from my hometown dealer for both vehicles, however would be willing to sell them to Tom Williams if they could match the offer so that I did not have to transport the vehicles. She asked me for the VIN numbers, Mileage, and various details concerning the state of the vehicles. The following day on 1/17, following lunch I received a phone call from Pam telling me that Tom Williams would like to purchase both vehicles from me for the price we had discussed ($25,000&$38,000). I told her that was fair, however I would not be coming to the dealership to negotiate as I already had offers. She assured me that there would not be any negotiating and Tom Williams would pay the agreed amount. Shortly after, I received a phone call from Client Advisor, Chris C., who made arrangements for our appointments in the afternoon. (Its an hour round trip for me) Following the inspection of the vehicle, which was credited as perfect condition, I was offered $3,000 less on both vehicles than what was assure I would receive. Tom Williams BMW Sales Manager Robert F. contacted Pam in concern to the prices I was offered and both Pam and Tom Williams Mini Sales Manager, John S., confirmed the offers were made to me. However, Tom Williams BMW refuses to honor the verbal commitment they made to me.

Buying the car was easy and fun

I never would have thought that buying a car would be so easy and so much fun, especially when I live in Maine...I picked up the car in SC...and the client advisor was in Alabama. A quick back story synopsis - While I presently live in my home state of Maine, I lived in B'hm for 16 years. This dealership kept my 1978 320i in true" fun to drive" form. I just retired. A new 328xi Sport Wagon was to be my retirement present to myself. I wanted to take delivery at the BMW Performance School in SC. That being the case I figured I could buy the car from any dealer. My first thought was to contact Tom Williams because of my past relationship with them and how they have treated many of my friends over the years. I was lucky enough to have Niyse B. as my client advisor. She and I did the entire deal via email. She quickly answered any question I had. She was knowledgable, personable and never pressured me in any way to buy a car. She sold me a car by never trying to sell me one. All paperwork was exchanged using scans and email attachments. Only the final part, the part where I turned over a check, had to be done using originals and FedEx made it an overnight event. Ms. B. handled all the arrangements for me to take delivery at the Performance School. All I had to do was get a flight to Greenville, SC. The Performance School experience is SO MUCH FUN! You will leave there not only with your new car, but with a huge grin on your face. Certainly mine was an experience made possible by electronics and the Internet. It was the people, however, that made it effortless. To a person everyone at Tom Williams and everyone at the Performance School couldn't have been nicer. So, let me highly recommend that you take delivery of your new BMW at the Performance School. And, if choose to do so, buy the vehicle from Tom Williams regardless where you live. The price was a good deal. Your experience will be easy and problem free. You will leave Greenville, SC with a new respect for the abilities of your car. As you drive home you will realize that you are still grinning. I still am.

Horrible

I attempted an out of state purchase of a 2006 BMW M3 from Tom Williams, but was deceived by Karreem Battles and his shoty service at the Tom Williams dealership. Beware of hidden fees and markups. This was the dealerships or Mr. Battles reply after I after receiving an email from them asking for my service again, "Thank you for relieving me of that responsibility. I have real customers who want to pay for what they buy. And, know that taxes and fees are part of any major transaction. Furthermore, you are an uninformed customer and I decline doing business with you in the future. Good luck in all of your future endeavors." WHAT SERVICE!
