Excellent experience

Truly excellent experience buying online. I found the SUV in which I was interested and called the dealership. The very helpful JT gave me a Facetime tour of the SUV and knew the history of the vehicle, which was important. JT helped me put down a deposit that day and had everything ready for me when I came to pick it up some 3 weeks later. He and Smitty had me in the new car and out the door in less than 30 minutes. They were organized and highly professional. Not pushy at all, while being responsive and helpful. Impressive team - thank you!

Buying a new car

Audi Birmingham is extremely professional, helpful, knowledgeable and eager to assist when asked! The entire dealership is run so incredibly well. I never felt rushed nor did anyone make me feel they expected me to buy from them. I would definitely buy another car from Audi Birmingham. They explained the 3 different vehicles I was looking at buying and helped me narrow my decision with NO PRESSURE!!

Exceptional experience

Unlike most dealership sales experiences, my wife’s and my time with the Audi of Birmingham team was pleasant from the moment we arrived. Steve met us at the door and from that point forward he ensured we were comfortable, answered all questions honestly, and never once pressured us. We had our guards up due to other experiences with different dealerships who didn’t listen to our needs and requests, so it was a shock to us as the Audi team honestly helped us find the exact vehicle we were looking for. Once we found the car we wanted, the process to buy was straight forward with no hidden fees or coercion to buy products for the car that we didn’t ask for. Also, it was pleasant going to a dealership with a website that accurately stated which vehicles were on the lot. For the first time in our experience buying a new car my wife and I enjoyed ourselves and when we left we never second guessed our decision. We definitely recommend this dealership and will be back when it’s time to get our next vehicle. Thank you Steve for an exceptionally pleasant experience. You did awesome!

Don't buy with Audi of Birmingham

Audi of Birmingham - awful experience!!! Roberto Rodriguez- Used Car Manager / Daniel Poage - General Manager / Jim Hardy - Brand Specialist / I purchased a used car from Audi of Birmingham at 1314 Grants Mill Way, Irondale, AL 35210 on 12/30/23.  We test drove a 2013 Honda Coupe and took it to our mechanic.  We were told by our mechanic that the car needed new windshield wipers and front brake pads.  Included in the sale it was documented that the brake pads would be replaced along with windshield wipers.  We were told that we would be able to pick the car at the latest 1/5/24 due to them having to order the parts.  We called the dealership on 1/5/24 and we were told the car was ready and upon pulling out of the dealership the brake lights were not working.  We were placed in a rental car due to the brake lights not working and we picked the car up on Monday.  We were told the car was inspected and the bulb must have just blown.  We found out that the deal had not been funded and we continually reached out to Audi of Birmingham with no response back.  I had to reach out to the Capital One Finance to try to complete the deal. Capital One Finance informed me they had been reaching out to Audi of Birmingham with no response to a warranty purchase that we were overcharged for. We were told several times that the paperwork needed to be redone. We did not finalize the paperwork until January 25, 2024 after showing up to the dealership and being told to go home because they did not have the paperwork ready. My daughter had been hearing noises coming from her brakes and took her car to our mechanic on February 15, 2024 and were told that the brakes were not replaced. We were also informed the windshield wipers had never been replaced either. My daughter brought the car back to Audi of Birmingham on February 15, 2024 where she was informed by staff that the brakes were never replaced as was promised at the sale of the 2013 Honda Civic Coupe. Audi of Birmingham placed her in a rental car that day. My daughter heard noises again and took the car back to our mechanic on February 19, 2024 and we were told that the rotors were damaged due to the brakes never being replaced and that they replaced the brakes with $20 brakes from O Reilly which are defective as well. We then went to Audi of Birmingham where we were told that nothing was wrong with the brakes even though we provided an estimate and pictures from my mechanic. A mechanic never looked at the brakes at Audi of Birmingham and the salesman was the one who made the determination that the brakes were fine not a mechanic. We were told that the only person who could talk to us about the repairs would be Daniel Poage. Upon talking to the finance Manager Maurice we were told that they had done their part when they replaced the brakes on February 15, 2024 despite the damage caused to the rotors by them not replacing the brake pads before we took possession of the vehicle where we were promised the brake pads and windshield wipers would be replaced. I think we are being mistreated because we purchased a used car that was not an Audi.

My first visit. I was disappointed they gave me a courtesy vehicle with almost no gas. I had empty gas tank light come on while driving to work. I expect better. I did voice my concern about that and was told they try to keep the tank at least a quarter full. I expect better especially being my first visit. I still plan to go there for service unless it becomes a recurrent issue. I doubt it will be. I did not get my vehicle washed because of drought issue which I understand. The vacuuming of the vehicle was lousy.

Second Audi from Tom Williams

The sales reps are not pushy, which is what I like, and the service staff always does a nice job and they get you out when they say they will. I am, and will continue to be, a repeat customer.

Not Impressed

I visited the dealership with my mother who has her heart set on an Audi Q7. We entered the dealership and had to search for someone to help us. They did not have a Q7 and the salesman told us that we could check back at the end of the month when they might have one... He didn't seem interested. We walked over Porsche part of the dealership to look at a Cayenne, since it is in the same class as her 2011 BMW X5. The greeter ignored us, and was somewhat rude when approached. He asked if we needed help. A few minutes later, they finally found a salesman; the same guy from the Audi side. I had to be a bit pushy to get him to show us the car I was interested in. He did not offer a test drive, but was kind enough to point out that the cheaper versions were around the corner. My family has bought 3 vehicles from the BMW dealership and 1 from the Landrover dealership which are part of the same group, but will not be buying a vehicle here. Their website states that they are enthusiastic about selling Audi's; the only thing they were enthusiastic about during our visit was getting us out of the dealership. We obliged.

Hard to Consider Purchase of a High End Car Here, Non-Responsive Sales Team

Very simple, short review, though certainly not sweet! I called this dealer on a weekend morning to inquire on a vehicle for European delivery. The receptionist indicated she wanted to get someone for me with the "experience needed" for that. She indicated the salesman who could help me was unavailable. I indicated that given some schedule limitations, I wanted to try to preliminarily discuss this purchase the same day. The receptionist assured me that she had communicated with the salesman, and that she would convey my wishes regarding timeliness. Not only did the salesman fail to call me back the same day, he didn't call me back at all. Seems to me, Audi touts itself as a luxury car. Wouldn't courtesy in the purchase process seem to go hand-in-hand with luxury car? ...apparently not with this Audi dealer!
