They kept my car for weeks and couldn’t fix it driving it 20 and 60 miles at a time wasting my gas and didn’t even put it back in my car!!!!

Horrible Service Department & Management

Tyler in sales was great! This dealership has a personnel problem in service. My husband and I called and/or visited over 10 times between November and Feb to get installation on a car purchased over a year ago. Not a single person in service would call us back. I visited the dealership and spoke with Sales Manager Ben and he was a condescending jerk. Not once did he apologize for his service departments inept abilities. He made the issue my problem. Once an appointment was made to install, my husband sat for 2 hours past appointment time before car was ready. Once car was taken back, total install was only 45 minutes. Not a single person spoke to him. No one thanked him for his patience. No one apologized for the inconvenience. No one apologized for all the ordering issues (as parts were in the system for the wrong vehicle). Other than Tyler in sales (who actually did return our calls… the ONLY employee who would talk to us), Lynn Layton has HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Exceptional Service at Lynn Layton

We were looking for a specific SUV which happened to be in transit to Lynn Layton which was over 1,000 miles away from us. Silas made it as smooth and easy as possible to get our family dream SUV. Everything he told me via phone was accurate and honest. With a simple deposit down to hold our vehicle in transit and communication every step of the way put us as such ease. Car buying is much different nowadays but Silas and Lynn Layton dealership made our experience amazing. I would recommend them to anybody, even if you live out of state. Even with being so far away the hospitality and honesty we experienced from Silas and everybody at Lynn Layton they definitely gained us as customers and when we are ready to purchase a new vehicle again they will be the first dealership we call. We are loving our SUV it had everything and more we were looking for in a vehicle.

Tried to order a 2021 Corvette. I tried to get a sales contract and give them my down payment to place my order. Word has it that Lynn Layton Chevy marks up a large premium (thousands of dollars) when you take delivery so I wanted the order in writing. After multiple failed attempts at getting a sales contract I finally asked the inventory manager "What planet he lived on?" He called me up and started yelling. I told him where he could go and hung up. Then I received the following email from the inventory manager which I believe says everything I need to say about Lynn Layton Chevy! :-) "Classless and chicken sh#t. Hang up on somebody. Come to the dealership and tell me that face to face. Don’t need your luck, been doing this 25 years and have done quite well. Still doing quite well. You’ve had ample opportunity to order a car but all you’ve done is TALK about it. You want to talk to me more about what planet I’m from and how inept I am about selling a car and say screw all of us. Then please come to the dealership and talk face to face with me. Bad Service

I had bought my car from the Athens Chevrolet dealer but it was closer to go to Decatur dealership to have work done. Everytime i took my car to the service department in Decatur they always said they couldnt find anything wrong so then i would have to go to Athens and they would have to order parts and fix the problem. Decatur just didn't want to have to work on it because we bought it in Athens and the two dealerships don'g get along!!
