So many repairs!

I tried to fight FCA and get a new minivan because this one has had nothing but problems and glitchy software at the first few hundred miles but no luck! They are promising some magical software update that I’ve been waiting on for now 6 months and the crickets are still chirping, nothing! I’ve had this car in the shop 7 times now. Trunk failed to close (recall), uconnect problems, AC control problems, back up camera stopped working (I’m now staring at a blue screen), steering wheel lights/controls stopped working, radio controls stop working at times, and much more. How this car wasn’t classified as a lemon, I don’t know. But I will continue to document and fight FCA because this vehicle should never have made it to the shelves. I go out of the way to tell all my mom friends not to purchase this Minivan, especially since they want to be [non-permissible content removed] and not refund me. They need to do the right thing and refund the lemons! Yes, it’s covered under warranty, but is it HIGHLY inconvenient to continually bring it to the shop and trade our car seats…also yes. It makes me so furious that I have to deal with this while my husband is deployed, nothing but added stress. Zero stars if I could. I would love the van if it worked.

Dog rated A+!

We have a 2018 FWD Pacifica and a 2021 AWD Pacfica. Love them both. Perfect for our two large dogs and their kennels. Bought 2021 after three years of excellent service from the '18 which had two episodes of warranty work, both successfully resolved. Decided to avoid hybrid model. Too many problems with those and Chrysler dealers still don't have enough technicians to service them. Moreover, the Hybrids don't have Sto 'n Go (and neither does the Pinnacle trim). Great road trip vehicles with comfortable quiet ride, adaptive cruise control, and decent power to navigate over the Rockies. The 2018 gets 30-31 mpg highway; 2021 gets 28-29, but it has AWD system. Subtract 7-8 mpg for city driving, but you can manage it with skillful starts and stops. Engine stop/start works fine (it can be deactivated each time you startup), but need to keep eye on charge of batteries, especially the smaller auxiliary one that can deplete the main battery, so it’s a good idea to have and use a battery tender if your Pacifica hasn't been driven for a while. Failing batteries is a common problem with many new cars these days, and when they get low they can throw all sorts of weird codes. AWD models sit about an inch higher. I do oil changes on both of our Pacificas. Oil filter is on top of engine, and I use one of those vacuum oil extractors that removes old oil through the dipstick, so no need to crawl under. The 2018 does not use any oil between changes, so I expect the same from '21. The best ownership experience goes to those who invest the time to read the owner's manual. Some complained about harsh transmission shifts, but I broke in both vehicles by driving them sensibly (slow starts and gradual stops) in the first 200 miles for the transmissions to "adapt." These are technically complicated machines than can be expensive to repair after the manufacturer's warranty expires, so I also have genuine Chrysler extended warranties for each one. Pros: Sto n' Go, comfortable and quiet, lots of great standard features, decent highway gas mileage, easy maintenance schedule. Cons: Can't manually navigate through gears on transmission, front 12-volt receptacle is on floor of center console down by feet (which is ok in my case because I use it for the dash cam, but others may find it irritating).

Stow and go seats sell this vehicle!

We have very large dogs. We need lots of open floor space, easy entry, easy maintenance interior. We drove everything that could fold flat or nearly flat the 2nd and 3rd row seats. The Himalayan climb Into some of the vehicles when the seats are down is not reasonable or practical. Other vehicles leave big gaps when the seats are down.. The new power forward 2nd row seats that tilt are also not particularly useful to us. We really wanted all the technology and leather seats for the front with a clean, comfortable rear area with ceiling air. The Pacifica was the most logical choice. It handles well, is a comfortable ride, has every technology feature we would have gotten in a Volvo, Toyota, Benz or GMC and at a fraction of the price. The real rubber is going to hit the road when we see how the quality is over time. We keep our vehicles for up to 10 years. I have no doubt the resale won't hold up as well as some of our other vehicles based on what I saw for used pacifica's but I didn't pay as much up front either. We looked seriously at everything from the GMC Tahoe, Benz GLS, Volvo 90, Toyota 4Runner, Sequoia, Sienna and Highlander and Honda Odyssey. Stow and go seats are the number 1 selling feature. Floor lays low and flat with seats stowed. 3rd row can stay up and you still have a trunk. Tons of space. Leather heated power seats and steering wheel. Giant power moonroof. If it runs and the electronics hold up you can't beat it. Oh and 28 MPG. Fingers crossed it is the gem it should be. I might actually be able to survive the minivan stigma.

Great Multipurpose Vehicle

This vehicle has been great so far. It is very quiet inside the vehicle and is very smooth. There is plenty of storage space, especially with all the seats stowed. The new, large screen for Uconnect and all the available services (Apple CarPlay, Navigation, SiriusXM, etc) is easy to read and easily accessed. The 360 degree Surround View Camera provides great situational awareness. Overall, I have been very happy with the Chrysler Pacifica so far.

For the price, you get a lot with this vehicle, from the stow and go seats that gives more cargo space when needed, to cool safety features like blind spot monitor, park assist, lane departure, to name a few. This is the ride to buy. And now it comes with all-wheel drive, what's not to love.

By far this is one of the best minivans out there. The sto and go seats are alone one of the best features you can get. On other vans trying to get the heavy seats out and then to get them back in is a real pain. Everything on this vehicle is great. Heated steering wheel and heated seats are a plus in Chicago, plus remote start, what more do you need. So many features on this, you need to go see for yourself.

Great family vehicle, safety features are incredible, comfortable and enjoyable. Option for 7 or 8 passenger is an added benefit, stow and go is invaluable for traveling. The Pacifica comfortably seats 7 adults no matter for a long trip or driver only for a quick outing. The options exceed my Lincoln. Looks - for the S package is sleek and sexy, for a mini van, easy on the eyes and handles well. By far the best vehicle on the road!

The 8 passenger seating is great and when not needed the center is a cupholder and storage. We bought one fully loaded with leather seats for the 6 grandchildren that ride with us all the time. The only thing we have an issue with is all the technology in the van We still haven't figured out yet how it all works. Love my van!! One thing I would love to see is the theater system i the back seats also. Only the middle has the theater/app screens, so the kids in the back feel left out.

I was in a dilemma when I was out to buy a minivan. This is our first minivan. The Reliability of the odyssey VS the the new hybrid sienna VS my not so well perceived dream van (Pacifica). After test driving all 3, I finally opted for the Pacifica Limited AWD. Reasons: 1) Amazing Interior color options. (Leather perforated and blended with fleece...Luxury!!!) 2) Stow and Go Seats (I carry a fully inflated raft OR 2 bicycles OR 5 check in bags.... at times!!!!) with 5 passengers inside...Boot still is empty!!!! 3) Power sliding doors and trunk release (tada!!!) 4) Power operated 3rd row folding seats (no more sprained fingers or wrists) 5) AWD (test it out in Canadian snow, and have fun drifting while in complete control) 6) Dual screen state of art rear entertainment system (Each screen can play different content and games at the same time) 7) Self parking technology (Its magic. I just point the car, and it parks itself) 8) Rear collision alert and self braking. (this has saved me multiple times while parking) 9) Cross traffic alert (A Must have when parking in malls) 10) Self folding mirrors (tight spots while parking) 11) Auto dimming mirrors (No more strain on the eyes from hi beamers behind you) 12)The BEST in car infotainment system with driver alerts (My van tells me even when I have accidently kept my turn signals on) 13) Self reclining driver seats when vehicle turned off (its like 5 star exit treatment) 14) Tri pane pano sunroof (Worth every dime, to see the stars, snowfall and rain falls) 15) Vent+ heated first and middle row seats (comfy!!!) 16) Inbuilt vaccum with extension cord and fitments ( all the way from the boot to the driver's foot) 17) Led lights with auto high beam (the bright side) 18) Led interior lights with theatre style dimming (where did that little lego block fall now?) 19) U connect 5 phone app (lock, unlock, sound, light and detect your car from anywhere in the world!!!!) 20) inbuilt sat nav (free) 21) fam cam ( middle row + 3rd row passengers...each one of them !!!!) 22) 13 speaker alpine music system with inbuild SUBWOOFER!!! 23) Wireless headset + remote + inbuilt games for rear passengers (love the silence while having kids along!!) 24) climate control (each to his own's comfort) 25) remote start stop ( warm or cool her up, while away) 26) Lane assist (the van sticks to the lane like a honebee) 27) Speed camera detection (Saving on speed tickets) 28) Built in Alexa with voice input and talk back (can you beat this...a talking car) 29) 2 phone sync ( for me and wifey...no hassles) 30) Driver profiles (from music to climate to seat to mirrors.....all in one go) 31) Vehicle health updates 32) 287 BHP!!!!...ever tried 185 kmph in Canada while still there is reserve power to reach 220 kmph ? The only downside is fuel economy, but that's ok keeping in mind the heft and the AWD in the van. Who care about a few kms/litre when you are in the maybach of minivans Simply put, forget minivans, not even premium SUVs come close.

The slider doors and hatch keep closing on me as I load/unload kids and things. They push against me pretty hard before they finally decide something is obstructing the path and open back up. VERY UNSAFE!!!!! This could cause serious harm to children! The radio changes stations on it's own. For instance, we will have it on station 101.3, shut the van off. Come back and start the van it's on 99.3. The gear knob goes back to R when you put it in park. Then the the van beeps at you and throws the gear in P. The driver settings are useless. My husband and I have our seat settings set to memory but we still have to manually move our seats. We got this van because I transport our grandson who is in a wheelchair. He is only 5 so we don't need a handicap accessible van yet. But when the back seats are stowed the floor is unlevel causing the wheelchair to rock when stopping. The A/C is not coming on with Remote start even though it is set to "All Start" meaning it's suppose to come on regardless of starting method. I still have the same issues as I had when I first bought it. I hate this car!! They say everything ' "Works as it should" yet all these things are still happening. It's JUNK!!!

We love our 2021 Pacifica. The car is very comfortable for our family of four. We have an AWD Pinnacle. It handles great in the snow. BUT there is one major design flaw… the low gear does not function properly. When going down steep grades it allows the engine to rev up to 6,000 RPMs in L1, which does little to slow the car down. There is no hill descent feature. All you have is the one Low gear, which works more like an L4 than an L1. Absolutely DO NOT buy this car if you plan to use it in the mountains or ever think you will need a reliable Low gear. Chrysler will not acknowledge the issue and I have no idea when this will be fixed. The service manager from my local dealer and I took out a brand new 2021 with 9 miles on the odometer and it had the same problem in Low gear, so I am confident it is a design flaw.

200 miles had to have a new rack was popping in the steering, the display that controls everything is horrible and lags, it wont swap to the audio for the dvds half the time, its a minivan and gets bad gas mileage average 21 when we are lucky when you hit the breaks hard the rear seat sensors go off and the usb plugs in back get extremely hot, just got the van back out of shop the 3rd time for the issues and front inn popping again. Bought one of the when they first come out and this 2021 I thought it would have gotten better but it has not

When did a spare tire not become standard. I bought a new AWD van for reliability. How is being stranded without a spare reliable? Shame on you Chrysler for trying to save a buck. I never would have bought this had I known. The give you an electric air compressor to fill up a tire, but what good is it if the tire haa a hole? I would have traded a spare tire for the stupid feature that shuts your engine off every time you stop; who wants to replace a starter every five years to save $200 bucks. You really need to get in touch with your customers and ask them what they want. I'm fed up with this dumb crap from Chrysler and I hope you made enough money cutting out spare tires, because you lost me as a customer.

So it’s odd of me to say but the Pacifica has always interested me though I won’t buy a minivan. I test drove a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica back in 2018 and it was awesome but I found a interest in the newest redesign having a stronger look so I test drove the 2021 at a dealership and the 30 minute drive was worth the wait and amazing. The luxury and technology make the minivan not feel like one.

Nice-driving Van

Jonathan B, 02/23/2022

I really like this van. It drives well, and in the Pinnacle version, it's pretty comfortable. The $7500 tax credit is a pretty nice bonus. The only things that're keeping me from giving it five stars are a wonky side mirror, a problematic entertainment system, and most of all, a hit-and-miss electric drive system. What I mean is that sometimes, I can get 32 miles on the battery, yet on the next time, driving on the same route at the same outdoor temperature, I'll get 16 miles before the battery is exhausted. Also, the van often starts with the gas engine, and that's over a wide range of temperatures. Lastly, MPG on road trips varies tremendously, and I can see when the mileage plummets. The van will take a long time to start recharging the batter while going downhill, and the MPG indicator starts dropping. This van replaced a 2018 version, so I'm used to how it is supposed to work on road trips and such, and this one doesn't. The van really is nice to drive, and it's comfortable. In most ways, it is superb. It's just the consistency in the electric drive motor and charging that need to be improved.

I have a Limited AWD Pacifica, everything you could want in a minivan. Power is great, my close friend drives a Honda Ody, he agrees that the pick up and power is superior. The ride quality is very good, absorbs the bumps and rough roads easily. You can't beat AWD on a minivan when you are driving your family around. I have had no issues at all in the 2 1/2 years I have owned this vehicle. I highly recommend this vehicle

While the inside may be nice, the fact that Chrysler purposely ran the starting system through the aux 2nd battery that constantly dies and is about $300 a pop is a joke. What technician would run a system that requires 2 jump boxes to start a vehicle and one that was made to fail unless on purpose. Chrysler should be held liable for this.

The room, the features, the comfort for driver and passengers, the handling: All great. We were disappointed to discover (totally our fault for not checking) that the front passenger seat was not electronically adjustable. The MADDENING issue is the seemingly unreliable electronics - specifically the radio/touch screen area. First repair was under warranty. Now just over a year later, we are having the SAME issues and MORE! OF course, it is no longer covered. GRRRRR.
