We are now approaching 5 months of ownership. Nothing - nothing - disappoints on this terrific Plug-In Hybrid. The $40,000 + price tag is nothing to sneeze at, but thanks to the $7500 Federal Tax Credit its much less of an issue. And kudos keep coming in from expert reviewers to support my perspectives on build, quality and value. For example, check this out from CNBC published November 16, 2018: https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/autos-hybrids/the-2018-chrysler-pacifica-hybrid-is-the-best-family-car-you-can-buy/ar-BBPCAvA Honestly, this is probably the best overall vehicle we've ever owned and that stable includes Honda (1), Toyota (1) and Lexus (2).

I love the car. Really wanted a plug in hybrid mini van and this was the only one available. Mileage is fabulous. Too bad that the media center screen broke after only 3 days. There seems to be a problem because even after 3 months of this happening I still do not have a screen replacement....!!!!!!

4 years, 4 months - 100,000miles - still LOVE it!

Update at 4 yrs, 4 mos: 100,000 miles. Still love it! In June '21, drove to IL to CA on I-80 and then back on I-90 & 94. Handled beautifully with plenty of room for grandkids and lots of stuff inside. We brought a cargo shell (20 cu ft) on the trip. Sometimes it rode inside; sometimes on the roof. The "hidden" roof rails made it easy to pop them up when in use and back down when not needed. In Sept, the van took us to the east coast again with no issues. Be aware of the 100,000 mile checkup - mainly the cost of platinum spark plugs! Dealer did what was required and skipped what I asked them to skip. (I do tires and oil changes elsewhere.) Ready for the next 50,000 miles. Only new vehicle that will convince me to trade it in will be same PHEV with added electric AWD. Waiting on you Chrysler! They're doing it in Jeep models; bring it to the Pacifica. Update at 2 yrs, 10 mos: 62,000 miles. Runs great, no recall issues in past 2 years. During stay at home time (COVID-19 etc.), I didn’t need gas for 2 months while putting on up to 30 miles a day for errands in town - all electric. Chrysler needs more ads to help people understand what a game changing vehicle this is. Original: Edmund’s got one thing wrong on their review. The 2nd row seats DO slide front and back - 5 positions in all. The only gripe on the seats is the cushioning is a bit firm. (Still love the seats in our 2001 T&C Limited the best!). But, after 20,000 miles, I LOVE this van. It gets awesome gas mileage! Just drove from IL to MA - 1160 miles - 32.8 mpg! I got 29 miles, at highway speeds, from the initial electric charge, but could not charge the battery after that. It still ran over 100 miles on electric (!), using brake regen and coasting down hills. It is all automatic - I just drive! (First 10,000 miles, highway MPG was around 27.5. At about 13,000 miles it appeared to be well broken in and began seeing 32-33 mpg highway consistently.). Also, love the Adaptive cruise control - makes stop and go slowdowns due to construction a breeze. And we decided to bring along two trim recliner chairs, 40” high. No problem! Stow the rear seat in the floor with a couple hand pulls, and the chairs both fit easily leaving 4 seating positions with luggage room. I have had some issues with recalls, but all have been handled by my Chrysler dealer with minimal hassle.

We've owned a 2018 Pacifica Hybrid for 2 years in the past and now a 2020 Pacifica Hybrid for 2+years. We had great reliability experience with both cars: never had any problem with the 2020 and only a very minor problem with the 2018 (a loose seat adjustment switch needed tightening). Our driving is 90% all electric getting ~80 MPGe in a 5000 pound, 7 passenger vehicle that drives like a dream in electric mode: quiet, responsive & extremely comfortable! On long trips we'll average over 33 MPG in hybrid mode. Chrysler deserves to be selling a lot more of these. I am perplexed at the consumer reports extremely poor reliability ratings for the Pacifica Hybrid: it doesn't fit with my experience at all.
