Purchased this auto a few years ago and had a 100,000 miles on it. To date 154,000 and just replaced the Shift Command Solenoid Pack. The only major problem to date other than normal maintenance. Fuel mileage around 28 to 29 on highway. This ones not perfect but will be restored.

I bought my Lebaron with 98,000 miles and now have 149,000. It has been a great car and I have replaced parts mostly out of precaution. I do an average of 40 to 50,000 miles a yr. The oil gets changed every 3 to 4 weeks. If you can find one with the 3.0 V6 go for it and enjoy it.

Good, yet strange offering from Chrysler

Fantastic, all-white color scheme looks clean and modern despite being a 20 year old design. Long hood/short deck certainly pulls off the luxury sport look, power everything, radio that will take your head off, Bottom-end guts for days, 28mpg on an auto trans!

I love this car. Just bought it in midsummer, wanted a convertible for years. As an older, domestic car in large supply it is fairly cheap. Look for this model with a new tranny (bad history). I have been putting 70 miles round trip on this car regularly with no problems.

Not a bad ride at all

Bought this car from a retired couple who bought it brand new in 94 and stored it every winter. Paid $2200 for it with 87,000 miles in great condition. 2 years, 2 winters and 16,000 miles later, it's still going strong with no major maintenance (other than oil and such). However, the winters have taken their toll on it. I use it as a work car and it gets me their every day with no major issues. Check Engine light pops up every now and then (O2 sensor), and idles kinda low when warm (hangs around 400 rpm), and the 3.0 L Mopar engine loses its power significantly when A/C is on (Illinois summers are atrociously humid, so top stays up). MPG is around 23 hwy, not bad for an American V6.

i bought this car as my first car during high school. it had 163k miles on it. still looked decent. i put this car through hell! weekly trips to the beach, hours of driving. this car refused to die! after 2 months it started blowing serious smoke, head gasket. kept driving! just added oil every other week. the convertible was nice in SoCal., i definately drove the car with style. not too many out there, def. a head turner. if you have the chance to get one with lower miles get it, it will run forever, even on its dieing leg it can still be sold and continue on the road.

LeBaron was my first car. I got with 88,000 miles on it. Its a good car, and is extremely comfortable. I almost didn't mind traffic. Good performance and very good gas mileage which I didn't expect, but that baby won't die in a pinch, and weather never effected it. Not too fast, I topped out at 94, which is still not too bad. Watch out for Serpentine Belt, and Transaxle gasket leaks. If you can get a nice one for 2,000 or lower I very much encourage you to do so.

This is one of my most favoured cars. The leather interior and unique styling gets a lot of attention. These cars are scarce here and people are really interested when they come around. The V6 makes a somewhat exotic sound with a p-flow and is quite quick.

This is a great car to own and drive! I purchased my LeBaron 3 1/2 years ago and have driven about 70,000 miles since I got it. It's always fun with the top down, and not bad with it up! The 3.0 L V-6 has plenty of power and starts easily. I have had a few problems: transmission rebuild (@149K miles; $1400), new starter ($185). Parts are easy to get.

I've had the car for four years now and love it. It gets great gas mileage. When its cold out the heat kicks on immediately. I haven't had any serious problems with the vehicle. top needs to be replaced, but its also almost ten years old. My only complaint is the AC leaks into the car underneath the glove compartment and the belt slips when you turn the ac on and accelerate. other than that the car is great. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a convertible to just drive anytime. It also gets great mileage in the city.

This has been an amazing car. It has Japanese (Mitsubishi) technology which might explain it's reliability The 3.0 V6 engine is "bulletproof". It still has the original top and exhaust system. I put on 1 set of pads on the front and the rear bonded are original. As a precaution 2 years ago I changed the spark plugs, timing belt and water pump for a very meager sum. All in all it ranks as the best car I ever had.

I bought my Lebaron 3 months ago strictly for the looks. Since owning it I have replaced a belt tensioner and a motor mount. The car is a blast to drive and never leaves me stranded but it does seem to be trouble prone. The top leaks really bad and the tranny leaks oil. Now I am having a problem with overheating when the AC is running. It only overheats when the AC is run and I have already replaced the Therostat. I may have to replace the radiator. I had to disconnect the Electric motor the raises and lowers the top because it overheats and I can't afford to replace it right now. With the top disconnected, it raises and lowers fine by hand.

Although this is a fun car to drive, once it hits 6 or 8 years old, plenty starts to go wrong. A bad transmission, leaky roof and windows, and unexplained stalling are the main problems. Watch out for the leaking especially, as it tends to worsen with age. It does drive pretty nice normally and maneuvers quite well.

This is my first car and overall it has been pretty enjoyable. The only repair beyond normal wear and tear in the past year has been a new wheel bearing. The styling is a bit old-fashioned, but I have customized it enough to turn some heads. And who wouldn't want a convertible? Especially one that gets decent gas milage and is fairly inexpensive. All in all, it is a fairly good car.

12 years old and still going strong. Some things are starting go, but at 12 that can be expected. The vinyl trim is pulling back in one spot on the rear interior, right-rear window motor getting real sluggish, some paint chalking on the front fascia, passenger seat getting really cranky about tipping forward, like I said nothing major. Only gets an annual oil change since I only drive 3000-4000 miles per year these days. Original roof, no major engine or transmission work. Seems like it's ready to go another 12 years.

I bought my car my senior year in high school, even though my dad thought it was a bad idea. I loved it, until my transmission went out, then the oxygen sensor went bad, and so forth. It stalls once in a while, but it's cute, and that's all that mattered to me. It's fast, it's a convertible, I thought it was great. Today, I would not have bought it, and occasionally I regret my decision. I know owe more than what it's worth. So trying to get rid of it will be hard.

I would never buy a used lebaron as these cars are the worst of crystler products which are bad to start. Expect that the transmission has been replaced at least once. Many minor things have been going wrong with this car since the day I purchased it. The top leaks and the cars are known to have strange electrical mishaps. However the 6 cylinder engine has help up with no problems after 110000 miles.

I have owned the car for nearly 9 years. The car still looks and drives like new. I have custom chrome wheels (Mercedes octagon style)Red with white top and white/grey interior. The car handles great with plenty of power. The only problems I have encountered: rear seat driver side electric window broke ($600.00) transmission went out at 65,000 miles ($2,500.00), Rear axle broke ($800.00)driver side transmission mount ($85.00)and I have a popping noise when I turn the wheel sharp and no one including the dealer can diagnose it.

Good performance in general but it leaks and had it in twice for fixing but still leaks. Further, the main belt has given me many problems, broke once, came off once and squeeked until I had the belt stablizer replaced twice. I have 55,000 miles on the car a and had the front ball joints replaced. The back seat if cramped for additional passengers.

LeBaron GTC's are fun, there is nothing like driving a convertible. I still think the styling is still sporty. We've had this car for 8 years as a "fun car", 5000 miles a year average. I love driving it, but watch out, it is under engineered and things tend to breakdown, even early in my purchase. If you want a fun car, this is one, if you want reliable, shop else where. (motor mounts, CV joints, rear sway bar, electric window broke)

I Got this car from a passed on relative. It had 70,000 miles on it. So far i put 1,000 miles on it and have replaced the radiator, two rear tires, and the sound system. The only problems i have had with the car are that the back windows don't go down and the engine has idled once. As a whole this car is easy to work on. The interior in my car is red and has a nice sleek design. This car accelerates pretty well and is a fun enjoyable ride with the top down. It would be nice not to have to worry about engine problems. I think this is a good car for any one who wants more bang for there buck.

Car is solid and heavy, so always felt safe even with the top down. Not that fast off the line, but it would cruise at highway + speeds with no problem. It was reliable, though changing spark plugs on the cylinder bank towards the firewall was a real challenge. Had to be careful putting anything in the boot, as it could crack the rear glass window when you put the top down. The car lasted until a big stretch limo crossed the road and t-boned me on the drivers side. Other than my airbags deploying, I was fine. That was a very sad day. Miss that car.

I bought this car in 2004, from a retired farm couple, who needed a 2 door after wife broke her hip & wanted wider doors. It had 62,000 mi & I paid $2500. I drove it for work, year round, averaging 20,000 mi annually. It was a perfect size, very comfortable, powerful, & quite economical. Regular maintenence included oil change every 3000 mi, brakes & serpentine belts as needed, timing belt change @ 90,000,180,000,185.000, & 260,000 mi. Front axles & bearings @ 200,000 mi (after a slight rumble started on the rt side during turns). At around 200,000 mi, I noted slight blue smoke @ start up, but no unusual oil consumption. Worn valve seals are a known problem for the Mitsubishi 3.0 V6 with higher milage. I only had to have her towed once following a water pump bearing failure, which leaked coolant onto the timing belt, which shredded, @ highway speed. I had changed the water pump during the 2nd timing belt change, as a precaution. Fortunately, the 3.0 is a non interference engine so the valves were not damaged. Sadly, in the dead of winter of 2016, @ 288,000 mi, the car became increasingly hard to start when cold & began losing coolant with no visible external leak or coolant in the oil. A head gasket leak @ #1 cylinder, right against the firewall, was the culprit. A major job. As I no longer needed the car for work, I decided to sell. The body looked as good as the day I bought her & the interior showed very little wear. Heat & air were excellent & the ride remained smooth. Right up to the end, the transmission shifted smoothly & quickly. No slipping. Also, she pulled a trailer as though it wasn't there! I still miss this car & would buy another one without hesitation. She was worth every penny. The young man who bought her had the repair done & 4 yrars later, I still see her on the road from time to time.

had to replace the water pump and CV joint-radio does some funky things sometimes-like volume up&down, changes stations,--allby itself AND THEN WON'T EVEN GO OFF WHEN I TURN IT OFF!!! BUT it is a blast-top looks and works like new(80K) and pick-up is great w/the 3.0 L engine and avg about26 or 27mpg about 70 mph. I did put the K&N air filter on it(about $40) which helped w/the gas. It is the most fun I've had in years. Needs a good cup holder and the compartment on my right should have been designed higher.

It was a great car when it was new. I am a little bitter. I have done every scheduled maintenance, and taken great care of this car. I am now having some major problems with it. I don't think that I should be having this many problems with a car that only has 103000 miles on it. I have friends with 150000 on their cars that run fine. I wouldn't buy another one. I also wouldn't buy a Chrysler again.

This car has been a BLAST! Only bought it 'cause the price was really cheap due to needing tranny repair. I still have less than 3 grand in it and I've put 60,000 miles on it in less than a year. It was garage kept by a retired lady who took REALLY good care of it so my original top looks brand new, and doesn't leak. Overall, this has been a wonderful, fun, and extremely econonical ride--I hve no complaints!

I was apprehensive but we had no other option, as it was cheap and we made payments. I have owned 10 vehicles and this was the worst. The design is terrible for a 94'(inside and out), it's like they designed it then never actually sat in the car to realize all the bad ideas they had. It gave us transmission trouble on a rebuilt trans (rebuilt at 80k miles note), and the cooling system was always a problem. The torque/hp is all based at lower rpm so good luck passing. This car was not designed with snow in mind, chains slap the suspension because of the clearance, I have put chains on many, many cars with no problems as I live in the mountains. The handling is very poor. Etc.

Purchased this car off a guy on Craigslist in the spring of 2021. I wasn't expecting much for $1,500 cash. It had about 154,000 kilometers on the odometer at the time. I invested a little extra money to get it road worthy for the summer. Basically I bought this as a fun summer ride during the COVID era. In the end, it barely made it through the summer. Car stalled on me on 2 different occasions and left me stranded the first time. I may have clocked an extra 1,000 kilometers on the engine but not much more than that. Investing any extra $$$ is a lost cause at this point as it is unclear if repairs will fix any of the real issues causing mechanical failure. Car was fun while it was running. As I am writing this review, I am looking at donating to a charity since there is very little chance I will get any of my money back. Car is super fun and turns heads but is not what I would call reliable.
